When flying to the US, I always go without sleep the night before. That way -combined with some nice drugs

- I sleep during the flight and will be on Florida time asap. Back; we'll be dead tired after a day of embarkation, US domestic flight, airport running etc. So again, sleep across the ocean. Et voilà; land at 8 am, which does help to beat the jetleg some.
guess I'll be doing a version of this too: work 3rd shift thursday night, off friday at 7am, sleep a couple hrs, pack the car, get the kids out of school,
to MNSSHP, hit the pillow very hard at the radisson. turning around from night hrs to day hrs is kinda like my own version of jetlag
