Listed below are the people we have signed up to attend the PJ Breakfast on Friday October 2 at 7:30A in Lumieres. Please let me know if we have missed anyone or if you are not attending. I will need an accurate count when I get on the ship to give to the group co-ordinator. Time may vary....I will let you know more when I find out the opening time of Lumieres.

Update: I lost my battle with these people. They were nice but firm and offered to accept a cancellation so I decided to stick with it and just go on the 11:40am group. Anyone else going with the 11:40am group?

Ugggg, this still makes me furious, especially because they just won't do anything about it. They took your money for a specified timeslot and then proceeded to give you a confirmation, which they are now not honoring. And, I told Karen yesterday that we would try to switch to the 11:40 a.m., but they told me that I couldn't switch mine. *What* is going on with these people?

Maybe we should set up a classroom on the magic, and you can teach all of the schoolchildren a lesson????? =) Just don't be teaching them any cuss words so they can cuss me out and I don't know about it. It's bad enough that my hearing is as poor as it is, I know sign language--but it isn't helpful much to most!

Maybe Jacqueline could teach *us* the cuss words.

I can't believe how busy things are overhere. Both volunteer work jobs somehow have a busy rush at the moment. On the one hand we've got a major theater production performing in our venue. Fun for the kids as it's a beloved TV-show, but I'm 'blessed' with a phone ringing at all hours for the reservations.

And somehow on the other hand, I've managed to get myself into a situation where I need to write about 4 major advisory reports before our trip begins. Besides that, we've decided to come up with a 'shadow'-policy. Best way to improve some stuff, but it's soo much work to write such a piece. And of course, right now our council has decided to not only not delay -like they normally do- but go ahead full steam. Somehow they are about to take some of the most major decisions of the last decade within about 3 months. Basically, by the time it's november I''ll need a second cruise to relax again.

WHEW, it does sound crazy busy. And, I totally agree that you'll be due for another cruise. Maybe the one scheduled for next June??

Hey everyone! i am back from my Carnival cruise...we had a great time, but the ship was in serious need of repair, the shows were just awful (except one comedian), and the food was terrible. Luckily I was with friends who like to laugh and have a good time, so we made the best of the situation and had lots of fun!

Can't wait to get on the Magic and erase the Holiday out of my mind. There's a reason that the Holiday is being retired next month!

I'm flying to Orlando TWO WEEKS from today!!

I am a travel agent and had heard that the Holiday was in really bad shape. Thanks for the update and I will be sure to pass this info onto my clients. Since we are only 2 hours from Mobile and New Orleans, I sell alot of Carnival cruises from those ports.


Now onto OUR Cruise.....documents arrived in Mississippi yesterday so we are all doing the dance!!! No upgrade but I am just happy that I will be on the ship in 17 days!


With all the ones staying at the Hyatt and those of us planning on being at the airport for the first shuttle out....maybe we can have a little DIS meet there. I am really getting excited!!!

Let me start by saying my wife can't wait to see your Bailey! She is a survivor of AML acute mylogenus lukemia. (sorry if spelled wrong) We had planned on wdw before all this happened 2 years ago then cancelled and let down the boys(I think myself more ) It's been a long road and I don't want to be on this ride anymore! I love my wife dearly and wouldn't be right without her. She's a good strong woman, and it takes a lot to understand what people go through and how they say if something else happens .... well lets not go there. This trip is for her!!!

You sound like my BIL. I'm so glad your DW is doing well. It's a long road when you have to go through chemo, BMTs or cord blood transplants. Believe me, we were already for the ride to be over with too. I hope yall have the best cruise ever!!! And Bailey can't wait to meet everyone. He loves people and will just smile his cute little smile when someone talks to him.

Cruise in June? Hun, if there was any chance of me getting the finances done, I would've been at the rebooking CM like 2 seconds after getting onboard.

Sounds like there are very few of us with assigned cabins getting upgrades. Which I guess is in line with there being no discounts.


I just received something I ordered on Ebay. It's too cute, so want to share it with you all; glow in the dark Mickey Ears! OK, they describe it as bunny ears, and the ears aren't as wide as Mickey's are, but they are close enough for me. Can't wait to wear them during MNSSHP and to make a fool of myself during one of the parties on the cruise.

Preparing for a Topless beach, LOL. That is what's going on. It was a very warm,stuffy day yesterday. Home alone, Hubby and DD at the park.

Glad your wife is doing well. I work in a health industry and I see Cancer in all ages/sexes. I hate the ones that turn from simple stomach pains into Liver Mets! Some cases or patients whom we have lost still bring tears to my eyes and fond memories of those people.

Good Luck with Bailey's scan. I've read through her journal, she is an Amazing, little Brave girl. Big hugs too her too!

Ugh! It's been a rough afternoon. Bailey starts daycare on Monday and I just talked to one of his teachers. There were a few babies crying b/c it was the beginning of nap time and I lost it. I've cried for the last 45 minutes which I know is stupid. We've picked one of the top places (at least it better be for what we're paying) in atlanta to send him to and I love my job. So now I'm obessing over packing cubes. Yes you read that. I'm trying to figure out how many packing cubes and which size to buy to use on the cruise. The talk on here and the thread on the main cruise board has we all ready to spend money. Retail therapy here I come!!!!

Oh and I also came on here to see about an updated FE list. Since I'm almost done and I want to make sure I have one for every cabin. This time in 2 weeks I'll almost be at WDW!!!!!

To Everyone Stressing:

All you need to bring or buy is duct tape and zip loc bags to fix any problems you have.



Duct tape will fix your shoes
It will close the curtains
It will mend you packing cubes
etc


Ziplock bags will store your wet clothes
Carry Ice to anything
Protect your id/money on excursions

Hang in there, it will get better. My DD has been in daycare since age 3 months. I've cried every day as I dropped her off for 2 weeks. It was hard leaving my bundle of joy. The worst thing was that she had a bad colic for 4 months and all private-in-home sitters lasted only for about a month. Went through 2 of them and then decided to go for a day care setting which worked very well for her. I was also nursing so that even made it harder. Everyone wanted a quiet baby and mine was crying all the time. Now at age 2 she can count to 10 and backward as the Disney ship horn blows!!! Very cute to see. Packing cubes will definetly taking your mind off. Is this your 1st child?

Thanks for the words of encouragement. Bailey is our first and I know it will be good for him. He's not the typical 3 month old. He's already over 16lbs and ever alert and aware of things around him. So I know the new surroundings will be good for him but it still hard to be away from him.

Duct tape can also be used to make a dress or shirt if your luggage goes missing. I saw a lady outside at the Today show the other day with a dress made entirely of duct tape.
