Marsha,
Sorry to hear about your Dad. Hope they find out what’s wrong.

Hey Marsha..what time are you going for your glass/bottom, butterfly farm tour? We may be on the same boat. I think we are suppose to be at Capt. Marvins by 9:15. What about you, Dennis…same time?

This is our itinerary:
Key West: trolley, Ernest Hemingway House
Grand Cayman: glass bottom/butterfly tour
Cozumel: Paradise Beach or Mr. Sanchos (can’t decide)
Castaway Cay: banana boat ride for DH, snorkling for DH, and R & R for me

kworkII. I would’nt be able to get my hubby within 10 ft. of a tux. At best, he will be wearing slacks and a dinner jacket. That was the best I could do..and believe me, there was a lot of negotiations! We met in the middle. :goodvibes

Hi all,

Deanna still working on the pic. An update to all I will not be able to post first thing in the morning due to brother borrowing my laptop for a job. So here goes.. in advance....

Good Morning All, :sunny:

Where's my cup of java???

Julie I am so proud of you, starting back on the coffee are you? Of course, coffee is good for your health. Especially the first sip, it helps remove the fog from your brain. :drinking1 It has so many other benifits, like giving you a extra burst of energy :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :bounce: :bounce: !!!! :goodvibes

When we meet up on the cruise, I'll introduce you to Capacino or Laite. If you're really up to it I'll hook you up to that straight line right into the vein called Expresso. I'll start you off slow with just one shot, by the end of the cruise, it will be two shots. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

You won't even miss one min. of the cruise....you won't even miss sleeping!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :rotfl2:

Well I'll catch you all later in the day at work. So Sorry for not sending the 5:00 AM hello.

Didi :wizard:

Kim ~ Where's the newbie from the other thread? :confused3

Guys ~ Job Interview went well, even without the Zoot Suit. Will see what happens in the next day or so. :cool1:

Not much else happening ... just being thankful that I didn't live in the path of Katrina. News reports look pretty dismal...

Ingrid - Not sure that I signed up for a Glass-bottom boat tour. I think it is a land based tour with the Butterfly Farm included. Went to a Butterfly Farm in St Marteen ~ Was absolutley great!!! "Practical" environmentalist that I am.

Well ~ Later

Dennis

Howdy everyone! Just checking in! We are so chatty lately that if you don't stop and read the board twice a day, you are way way behind. Wow. I can tell the cruise is getting closer! Poor Southernmouse only on page 21. Good luck with that! :earboy2:

No tux for my DH. Probably a black suit. :groom:

This is itinerary for both me and SIL's group:
Friday night: Ron Jon's
Key West: Walking around and touring on own. Definately touring the lighthouse. That is SIL's big goal of the cruise. So we don't want to miss that. She has always loved lighthouses and wanted to tour them. So if we find others on the islands, we may try them also. DH and DS scuba diving reefs. I also would love to hang out at Mallory Square at sunset.
Grand Cayman- with Julie and SIL on 2 hour excursion to Sting Ray City. Other time spent on seven mile beach probably. DH and DS scuba diving with stingrays on separate excursion.
Cozumel- we purchased on our own the swimming with dolphins and swimming with sea lions at Chankanaab Park. My SIL is only going with disney's dolphin experience though because her youngest was too young to swim with them per disney. We are really wanting to end our day at Paradise Beach with the water trampoline and iceberg. But I just don't know if there is enough time for both.
CC- currently DH doing Personal watercraft eco tour, everyone signed up for banana boat ride, but may cancel that. SIL doing cabana massage.
Saturday- crying crying crying crying! :sad2:

Didi- I'll miss you in the morning. The emails just won't be the same without you talking at 4 a.m. with coffee in your hand.

Hello again, Ocean Blue, glad you posted again. Keep them coming! :goodvibes

Marsha- well wishes to your Dad! :flower:

Deanna

Hey Deanna,
I'm not 100% sure, but I think Paradise Beach closes early, like at 5 o'clock. Actually, I think all the beaches close fairly early. It's a shame because I think we stay in Cozumel until about 10:30 p.m. that day. But we would want to get back on the boat just the same. Pirate night that night, right? (sheesh, I'm a poet and I don't know it..Dr. Suess would love me)

Finally DH is starting to get excited about the trip. You see, he refused to participate in the trip planning way back in April, because he thought it was silly to plan so early (the poor disillusional man). And now, although I'm still excited, I've calmed down a bit because everything is planned, and am just sitting back and relaxing until the day comes, and he is excited as a little puppy. It's rather funny. Of course NOW he wants to participate in trip planning, but every question he asks I say "It's done already, honey!" :rotfl:

Hey, has anyone heard anything about DCL opening up a new excursion on CC? A stingray excursion? Apparently it may be open for September cruisers.

Prayers to all those survivors of Katrina this morning ...

Ingrid - Not heard of the new excursion ... Will look for it. Swimming with Stingrays at Grand Cayman is a MUST DO. Glad to hear that Gringo is getting "in the spirit". Chrystina  just looks at me and asks "what are we doing" ... her own personal travel agent. :rotfl2:

Marsha - How's Dad?

Julie = Coffee & Drugs? I can hardly wait for the next "showing". :teeth:

Deanna - Not sure that twice a day is enough to keep up. :teeth:

I hope everyone in Katrina's path are alright. May God be with them.

Just to pass along what we are planning on doing at port:

Key West - Walking around on our own.
Grand Cayman - Sting Ray Snorkel Tour
Cozumel - Atlantis Submarine Expedition
Castaway Cay - Castaway Cay Getaway Package

If anyone has thoughts or suggestions to the above plans please feel free to comment since this is our first cruise.

Ingrid - We are suppose to be there around 9am I am sure its the same boat. That will be nice we will know each other

Just talked to Dad he seems to be doing okay saw his doctor yesterday, she said its not his diabites that he need to see a specialist and maybe the will find out what happened. He plans to go back to work Monday I don't know about that I will talk to mom. Thanks everone for the well wishes.

Well I don't drink coffee and I am exhausted so I am going to get a coke.

I am checking the board a few times a day and your always a page or two ahead.

Have a good day we are getting closer. :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :sunny:

Ocean Blue ~ Good Morning :wave2: StingRay Tour is GREAT!!! Of course, I love seeing wildlife in their natural environments ...

Marsha ~ Glad to hear your Dad is on recovery path. As a suggestion, don't try to stop him from going back to work ... it's a "guy thing" ... he'll do the right thing, we're just a little slow getting around to it. My "big" brothers (twins) are the same age as your Dad. HH&GB.

Erinc & SouthernMouse ~ Update status please ... everything okay???

Well ... off to my garden chores ...

Dennis

Going to the bank today to exchange money.
I know that US currency comes in $1, $10 and $20, but what about $5? $2?

Ingrid - Definitely $5 bills. They make $2 bills, but we don't typically use them in every day transactions. I have heard on these boards that people get $2 especially for this trip to use as room service tips.

Good Morning everyone!

Didi - I missed your posts this morning! Yes, I am back on the coffee wagon! I used to drink it every morning, but then I switched to having a coke at 9 in the a.m. I know this has been discussed, but what kind of coffee do you use? Oh, and I can't wait to try espresso. Who needs to sleep?

Dennis - Glad your interview went well. Just from what I know about you from on these boards, I knew it would go great!! Again - I am NOT on drugs!!!!!!!! :p Hope you are practicing for your dancing during the Pub Crawl - I didn't forget!

Ocean Blue - What time are you doing the Atlantis Submarine Excursion? We are on the 2:35 one.

Marsha - Glad your Dad is feeling better! :goodvibes

I had trouble posting last night the server was too busy, so I don't know if you guys got my post about the Newbie on Dennis's old thread.
I got a PM today from them and gave them our thread to check out.....keep your fingers crossed.

Ingrid, in case my post didn't come thru, again if we can sway you we would love to have company at Paradise Beach :cheer2:

Ocean Blue, which stingray snorkel tour are you taking?? DCL or private?? There are 2 groups here doing the Capt Marvins. One 2 Hr one 3 hour, your welcome to link up with either or.

O.K. I had another cruise dream last night. The part of Dennis was played by James Gardner. We were dining at big picnic tables. I had forgotted to pack any dinner clothes except for my Formal wear, and that was now blue instead of white. It was night 3 and I couldn't even remember days 1 or 2 :confused3 . I somehow offended Dennis's Chrystina (you were seated at our table).
It was AWEFULL!!!!!!

I have got to get on the ball and finish my shopping, I feel soo disorganized, and you all know disorganization to an OCD'er is like an panic attack.. :earseek:

Julie, glad you have come to the dark side and retarted drinking coffee :goodvibes

Didi you and my DH will be fast coffee drinking friends....he is OBCESSED, probably drinks around 2 pots of coffee a day, goes for the Quad shot expresso. I don't even try to make coffee at home, its never the way he likes it. Goes thru about 1 coffee maker a year. Won't touch folgers, doesn't like Starbucks, says they burn their beans. Always straight black, won't touch "fuu-fuu" flavered coffee's. As I have mentioned would walk over hot lava barefoot for Jamacian blue mountian......... :confused3 Drives me crazy at times.....I keep telling him "ITS ONLY COFFEE" :rotfl:

That is so funny! I agree that Dennis seems to be a James Garner type. Dreams are so crazy, sometimes I wake up thinking - what the heck is wrong with me?!? I just realized that I have never had a cruise dream.

We will be probably be going to Paradise Beach in the morning until our excursion at 2:30. I am looking forward to it!!

I had a nightmare last night that I was on an airplane, and my long legs got pinned when the person in front of me reclined their seat. And I got stuck and could'nt move for 5 hours.

Oh wait..that's gonna REALLY happen.

Kim (Kcatoir),

We are currently signed-up with DCL but we are open to Captains Marvin's.

Do you know how close the Waterfront Centre is to the ship?

For the 3-hour tour, are you talking about the 10:00 am to 1:00 pm tour?

There would be 4 of us: myself, wife, 11 yr son and 8 yr son.

Brad

Kim ~ JG Type? :sunny: Well, I will take that as a compliment. Thanks. NOT to worry about offending Chrystina  She's pretty easy going. EXCEPT when it comes to me being me :rotfl2:

Julie ~ Did I agree to dance on the tables with you? :confused3 Well, Okay.

Ingrid ~ I have been on that plane!!! :guilty: Julie's right $5 bills. NOT too many $2 bills in circulation and even when they are - someone (me) usually snatches them up & saves them for "who knows what" :confused3 If you use credit cards, AMEX usually gives the "going rate" on the day of the transaction. I have been pleasantly suprised to return from Mexico and find out I got a better deal than I thought. :goodvibes

Kim ~ Well, Chrystina  is a Gevalia coffee type. Me ... I'm a basic Peasant Stock type who considers French Roast the fancy stuff.

Back later ... Off for a haircut ...

Dennis
