Here ye, here ye. (As David would say) Julie and I have booked the two hour excursion for the same day to Capt. Marvins. There are a total of 7 going at 11:15 a.m. It is the 2 1/2 hour excursion. The only difference is our excursion only does one snorkeling stop instead of two. Our children are younger and we were hesitant to do the extra snorkeling stop. So anyone who wants to join our group, I will link your reservations to ours. Gee, it seems as though David and I are in competition, huh? Just kidding!

Ingrid - Bailey wore a princess dress each night, but she does that at home anyway! We will be packing several of them! As for clothes, I wish we had brought more swimming suits because it seemed like we wore them every day under whatever other clothes we were wearing. Basically, during the day, I just wore shorts and a t-shirt. For this cruise, there is a semi-formal and formal night so you'll need clothes for that. That leaves 5 other nights of dinner where I plan on making black pants or capris go a long way! I will probably just end up changing the top each night. That helps makes my luggage a little lighter. I am bad about packing every medical thing we could possibly need! Pepto, advil, sea-sick meds (although none of us need them), band-aids, childrens tylenol, dimetap, blah, blah, blah...And don't feel bad, I have already started packing as well.

Deanna - I am pretty much available whenever. Do you work during the day every day? Just pick a day and time and chances are I will be able make it! I'm looking forward to it!

Woo Hoo! I got my DSL fixed today!

Well, we started school today! Briley started 4th grade, and Holland is officially a Kindergartener! It was a crazy morning! Briley's favorite part of her day was eating M&M's with her math lesson, and Holland liked going to the cafeteria, and rest time(man she is my kid!)! She was really tired and said , "mommy that was a long day!" I'm going to wait about 3 more weeks before I mention to the teachers that we are going out of town on the cruise! Hopefully by then they will know that my kids are pretty good students and it won't be too much of an issue.

I think that I'm going to pack a few of Holland's princess dresses. If she see's others wearing them, I know she'll want to have hers too. Briley is getting a little too old for the dress up thing. I think she still loves to dress up, but I think she's starting to get old enough to know that others her age have gotten away from that kind of thing.

I think that I will have to do laundry. I just can't see packing enough stuff so that we won't have to. I would probably need like 3 suitcases each if I don't do laundry.

Well, I need to get to bed myself, I'm not an early riser, and this getting back into the swing of school is making me tired too!

Cujobugs- Never been to Ron Jons before, I hope its as good as the pictures says.

I did my door sign last night, I am not that good of an artist, but I gave it a try. DH said it looks nice but I think he has too.

I might need to get DD - Lora an other princess outfit.

Oh by the way, I am aready packing to, DD is almost done packing.. I just need to get her a few more things. I am half way, and DH isn't started yet.
If I don't pack for him we will be up all night the day before we leave.

I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one who has started/thought about packing. There are just some things that we won't be wearing anymore this summer and it's just as easy to throw them on the "cruise pile" than to hang them up or stick them in drawers, just to get them out again in 6 weeks. As far as laundry, we took so many things last year that we didn't wear. For example, if I put a shirt on for three or four hours in the evening, I ended up wearing that top again with shorts the next day and I had a clean shirt in my luggage. I'm really going to cut back. And be careful, some of the airlines have reduced the number of pounds your bag can weigh. Check their website and remember that snorkels/fins can weigh a lot!

Deanna: I was also concerned about the 3hr trip being too much, but DH said to just book it. DD's love to swim and when we go to the lake they swim ALL day, so I'm hoping they will do ok. If not they can just hang out on the boat.

No Princess dresses here.

I am also trying to decide on a wardwrobe for that many dinners. I think I will probably do same as julie, bring 1 or 2 skirts and switch tops.

Julie, I too bring every Med we might need, you never know better safe than sorry.

I have not started packing, but I do have a shelf in my closet devoted to cruise "stuff".......layards.....DCL visors.....snorkels....etc....Stuff I only use once in a while, I have a habit of putting things "away" and forgetting about them. ....or I can't remember where I put them and go out and buy more...........

I'm off to work too..

Hi,

Okay, I had to login and I forgot my user id and my password. I'm useless when it comes to computers.

So far we have a couple of newbies. Hi Marsha, my DH will get you directions and we can plan to meet at the beach. This weekend is out, it's my 10th wedding aniversary and the start of my week long vacation. I will send you a private email with directions and cell phone along with home phone. I just have to figure it out, my BIL will coach me over the phone when he gets home.

I think we have someone else, Kathy.... I haven't gotten caught up with the thread. I'm such a slacker!!!!!!! I haven't read my email for about three weeks and so far I've gotten a million dates with connections for some great mortgages, and all the other garbage that comcast likes to spit out at you.

Right now I must get back to paying my bills. Barney says hi, he's laying on top of them as I type. He really likes to help me with everything!!!

Anyways welcome to all of the newbies and HI to all the oldies!!!! I'll catch you all in the AM.

Don't you wish you had more time!!!! I really think if I could have another 8 hours put into a day I could complete all the things I need to get done.

Well next week I have to pick up my son's uniforms and supplies for school and force him to finish up on his book reports. He's completed two and has one more to go. School starts August 31st. I can't believe he's going to be in third grade.

My fingers are going numb again, got to get off the computer and enjoy the coffee.

By the way, regarding the time capsule. That story of the ring is beautiful, I think you lovely daughter will have a few tears in her eyes. That is so special!!!! I do hope you bring pictures of the wedding with you, so we can see the princess bride. I hope this icon shows up.

I haven't started packing yet....once my vacation is over and after September 1st, the bags will be packed up and ready for the cruise. Since I will be working the day I fly out, I need to be prepared. The DH and DS will meet me at the airport and I'll just hop the train from work in Boston and have dinner with them in the airport. Of course I will have all the important paperwork with me. Love the hubby, but for the important stuff, I'm the one who takes care of it. I have been known on trips not to pack underware though. Do you think they sell underware on the cruise?

Got to go now and do some work.

I know what you mean, Didi about having the handle the important stuff.
I had to laugh about the underwear though. It never happened to me, but DH works out of town a lot, and since he likes to pack heading out the door (much to my dismay), I've given up and told myself he is a big boy and can handle his own packing. He usually ends up working in some remote area..with NO STORES around for miles. So he called me the next day after his "fast-packing" and tells me "honey..(in a very whiny voice) I forgot to pack underwear!" I just laughed. And I did'nt WANT to know HOW he managed for two weeks with one pair of shorts! eww.

Hey I'm jealous , you guys getting to meet ahead of time......not fair .

I do not pack for DH.....years ago when we were first married I did pack for him once and all I heard was, "why did you pack this......where's that.....why didn't you pack such and such".....so no more. Dh travels extensively, approximately 20 weeks a year, so he has gotten very handy at packing, although he does still try to get me to pack for family vacations...can't blame him for trying

I will be happy to make anyone a door sign. The ones who have already asked me, could you please IM me information that you would want on the door sign. Some people put last names, or first names, or where they are from, etc. I will leave it up to you what you want on there for security reasons. I put all the information on mine, I just left off exactly where we were from. I just wrote Kansas, U.S.A. I would also need a picture of your family. Either individual pics or a together picture. I don't care because I can crop them. I will send you my email address by PM for the two of you who have asked.

I already have Ingrid's completed. Would you like me to mail it to you, or give it to you at the sailaway party? Just let me know. I will try to attach it to an email and send it your way. But my computer is having big troubles. I am apparently out of virtual memory. My computer is about to shut down. I'm working off my work computer right now.

No need to pay for materials as some have suggested, I'm just glad to do it for my chat buddies.

Deanna - I'll help you with the Disney font when your computer starts behaving again! I don't understand much about computers, but when mine gives me trouble, I just turn it off for several hours. Then it learns it's lesson and cooperates again. Hee hee.
