I'm rather worried about noisy rooms too. I sleep very light. If a bug sneezed, I would wake up. We have a white noise machine here at home so I'm thinking of taking it with me. That should drown out any noise..I'm hoping. If we get Cat. 12 on Deck 2 under the bar, it will more than likely be a noisy room. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I checked the last post Dennis left. It said “WORKED today”. I think he is just really busy. Out of character for him that’s for sure. Not the working part..just the non-posting part. :rotfl: I’m sure everything is ok though.

I am a very light sleeper as well, but I didn't have any trouble sleeping on the cruise. You are so busy running around all day long and those beds are so amazingly comfortable that you just konk out when your head hits the pillow! At least that was my experience!

YO!!! I'm Back!!! Did Ya miss me? :rotfl2: YES - UDID!!!

Sorry about not posting, as Ingrid pointed out, I was REALLY busy - working :rolleyes1 Ran into some problems synchronizing some things in Maine. Operational plans went askew and "things happened". :confused3 Had "stuff" that needed sorting out :badpc: and folks that needed to "understand" about getting things done. :rolleyes1 Days got longer and nights shorter. Actually lost a day somewhere ~ What happened to Wed? :confused3 Next thing I knew, I was landing in Las Vegas.... Where the BOSS was more than ready to hand a number of less than glamorous tasks :guilty: and assorted confused issues to me. :rolleyes1 Anyhow, after two days on the ground here, I think the knots are untangled and things are beginning to settle down again. Maybe now I can go up to New York Casino and ride the ROLLER COASTER!!! PLUS Chrystina  is planning to come up next weekend for our Anniversary. Says, I need to take her to dinner "like real married people". :rotfl2:

Sorry if I made you worry but I do appreciate your concern.

Meanwhile, welcome aboard Marsha & family. Welcome back GoofysGirl. Look forward to chatting with you both.

Pirate Night - Chrystina  is making us pirate shirts with embroidered Disney characters ~ Says they are coming out really nice. Of course, she is a perfectionist!!! NOT sure how she ended up with me!!! :rotfl2:

BUT need to go again ... will check back later ... BUT LOOK AT THIS!!!

Well it's good to hear that you're safe & sound. One more day and I was going to start a pool. I probably would have lost anyway so I'm glad you came back. Whew... That was a lot of work you saved me. :rotfl2:

New smilies... :dog2: :paw: :dog: :pug: Whats's up with the dog theme? Shouldn't we have some nautical smilies? :rotfl:

Say, Does anybody play Bingo? I played a game a bingo early this year at a family resort and it was a lot of fun. Is the Bingo on the ship just for adults? Thought it might be good for some laughs. I could even pay off my bar tab... :drinking1

Later all, back to cribbage. Hmm, I mean my chores. Also, I think the DCL show is coming Tues AM on the Travel Channel. :cheer2:

David

Dennis - I was worried about you. I know I tend to worry about things to a crazy extreme, but anyway. Glad you are ok. I hoped you weren't in a hospital or something, unable to get to a computer! :teeth:

David - Don't play Bingo, but I think I might give it a whirl!

David and Julie:

No, Bingo isn't just for adults, kids can play too...However, cards must be bought on an adult KTTW card, and an adult must claim the prizes....

Never played bingo here either. Well, unless you can count DD's bingo set I got her for her birthday party earlier this year. And also DD's rules. If she takes a number that isn't on her card, she will put it back and take another one.

My mother in law was going to take me to a bingo hall one day. She is the typical Bingo Player, with her 50 cards laid out on the table, her dapper in one hand and cigerette in the other. I managed to be able to find an excuse to decline invitations though.

I'm hoping to play Bingo at least once on the ship. I was reading some Navigators from last year. They have a pajama bingo. You can play Bingo at 9 am in the morning and come in your PJ's! Ok, I can see it now. Here I am trying to focus on the numbers on my card, on my third cup of coffee and still wiping sleep from my eyes. I don't think I would fare well with a morning Bingo game.

Oh..by the way. Not that anyone probably cares, but I finally found something for by daughter's wedding time capsule! :cool1: Back in the 50's, my mother had won a 14K diamond ring in a baking contest. It had 3 diamonds in it. She gave the first diamond to my oldest brother to put in his bride's ring, and the second to my other brother to put in his bride's ring..and then my brother's wife lost the diamond, so she gave him the third diamond. She gave me the ring to some day put stones in it. So I figure I will put my daughter's birthstones in it, and give it to her, and include the story behind the ring.

I think that is a great idea for the time capsule! I mean, come on, it's a ring! I love that it has a family story attached to it.

Hope everyone has a great rest of the weekend. :sunny:

Ingrid,

I'm glad you found something :) I'm sure your DD will love the ring and the story behind it :)

BINGO!!!

Chrystina  has been addicted to Cruise Ship Bingo since she won $400 the first & seconds time she played. Not sure she has won since but she (we) plays all the time. Lots of time there are limited folks from day to day but on the last day ~ EVERYONE shows up for the BIG prize!!! Lotsa fun!!!

Nothing else going on here. Wx ~ 95-105 each day. Probably should not mention this but I am currently ahead of the Casino. :cool1: Generally pretty quiet - Talk with you later.

Dennis

bumping us up from page 2! Slow day today!

Ingrid- love the ring idea. That will make a great gift.

We're back from the lake. We had an awesome time! Hurt myself water skiing but feeling much better today.
Marsha- Yes we need to make a plan on a Ron Jon's meet. We will be arriving on Friday around 2:00 p.m. Our flight arrives in Orlando around 11 something. Sounds fun!
Glad Dennis is back. Got to run.
Deanna

Good morning! :sunny:

Deanna - Glad you are back again!

I feel really weird saying this, but I almost don't want Sept. 24 to get here - because then it will be over! We are having so much fun here planning for it and talking about it. Bailey and I talk about it alot, especially when I am putting her in bed for the night. She is really excited!! It's fun to have such a big thing for her to look forward to. I might just have to rebook onboard!

Happy Monday all!

Since it's a yucky overcast day in PA, we're going to make our "Cruise Chain" today. Remember those paper links we made when we were kids? We make a link for each day and write something we want to do or see on the cruise on each link. Then, we rip a link off for each day until our chain is gone. I can't remember where I saw this idea but we've done it for our last 3 Disney vacations and it's a lot of fun. Hmmm...I'm going to add a link for that Chocolate Souffle, the cabana massage, seeing the new show, sending the kids to the club (tee-hee) etc etc etc.

Yo Mateys!!!

Nothing much happening here in "Sin City". Of course, if there was, I would not be able to tell you cuz ~ "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas". :teeth: Do you think I can "sell" that to Chrystina? NOT!!!

Well - Back to Work

Dennis

Hello Everyone!

Yes I am a Newbie to the thread! A few months ago I looked for a thread for our cruise date and could never find it. Then I looked a little later and found you all had up to 50 pages going already. I didn't want to post till I had read them all and felt like I could contribute. However, I now see we are up to the 90s and I will never post if I wait to read them all. :confused3

So, could someone please give me a recap! :flower:

We are traveling with a large group:
Myself, DH, DD8, DS4, FIL, and 16 other various family members!
We have early dinner seating as there are many toddlers in the group.

This is our Second Disney Cruise, we were on one of the September 2004 that were affected by the hurricanes. We had booked a western, but ended up in Puerto Rico, Nassau and Castaway Cay. Obviously it didn't bother us to much as we booked another cruise in September! :teeth:

Anyway, do you have a meeting time and place and any other stuff you can fill me in on. TIA

Cathy

Welcome Cathy!!

Do try and read up on some of the prior posts. It's a great way to learn about the group. I came in around page 30, so I would reccomend you start there. :rotfl: :rotfl2:

I'm sure there will be lots of more greetings w/tips.

My SIL is also on the boards and is in charge of the BVP (Bon Voyage Party). I'm not real sure of the details yet. I think the 1st BIG meet is going to be around the sail away party. I could be wrong.

Questions for you: Do you play Cribbage? Interested in Pub Crawls? Bingo? Do you have excursions planned?

Gotta get back to work.

David

Hi Everyone,
Got in last night from CA, Great time visiting old friends. DD11 is now an awesome wake boarder and can't wait to go again.

Deanna, I have felt your pain, thats one of the reasons I did not venture into the water this time. Left it to the kids, but DD was sore the next day.....guess being young doesn't keep the pain away :rotfl:

Ingrid, love your ring idea, your daughter will love it.

ErinC glad you had fun in CA, I grew up in SanDiego and went there lots, grandmother lived in LA.

Marsha, I'm soo glad we did not scare you away :goodvibes . I second all the thanks to your DH.

Dennis, welcome back. I'm jealous, we can never seem to leave Vegas without being in the hole.......we might as well walk thru the door and hand them the money :rotfl2:

Bingo?? I have played some, but like I said I'm not real lucky with that kind of thing. DD's might enjoy playing some though.

I haven't had much time to work on my magnets lately....way too busy been gone last 3 weekends in a row. Have to take DD's shopping for school supplies, load camping stuff into new trailer, and sometime in there clean the house........

Man do I need a vacation or what....Lets Go.... :moped: ........ :cloud9:

Welcome Cathy, What would you like to know??
