fourfoxes - I like the cruise chain idea! I may have to use that one. We have may the paper chains before, but never for something like that.

Dennis - Sounds like you are having fun. Where are you staying?

Cathy - Welcome! I'm glad you decided to post. Wow, what a big group you all have! We were booked last September during the hurricanes, but we chickened out and rescheduled for Jan. 05. At least you made it to Castaway Cay!! :sunny: What deck/category are you in? We are deck 6, cat. 11.

David - Do we have any pub crawls scheduled yet?!? :3dglasses Can't wait!

Kim - Glad you're back! :goodvibes

Hey Julie!
Saw you on my thread that I posted re: shopping on the ship! :sunny: I will also be tempted to buy ALL photos. Then again, if I keep away from other souvenirs maybe I can justify it. :rolleyes1

That is one thing we are having a hard time figuring out..how much money to put aside for the BIG tab at the end of the cruise! I’m usually pretty good at self-discipline, but it’s DH who says “I want it..I’ll buy it”. Maybe I’ll have to ask Guest Services to put a cancel on his KTTW privileges. :rotfl:

I’m feeling weird about the date getting closer too. :hourglass While reading threads and seeing all these people booking into 2006, I’m just wondering…hmmmm…should we? And that is VERY weird…cause we haven’t even cruised yet, and don’t even know if we will like it. I really don’t think I’m NOT gonna like it though…well, unless I get seasick and spend the whole time in the stateroom. :crazy2:

Hi Cathy..and welcome to our wild and crazy bunch of cruisers. I can’t help you much with the DIS meet because I’m not sure myself what the details are. Where is our baton holder?? :wizard:

Fourfoxes: We used the chain idea once. DD was very excited about her best friend’s birthday party and instead of hearing “Is it time yet?”, I made her a paper chain. However, we would forget to rip a chain off everyday, and then sometimes forget we ripped off once already that day, and take another one off. It ended up being someone inaccurate, but it at least stopped the “Is it time yet?” question. It ended up we had four chains left when it was actually time..so it was a pleasant surprise to DD that even though there were chains left, it was time!

:cheer2: :cheer2: Okay I am on page 80 and I read from 89 to 94 so I only have another 9 pages, if I can work late tonight I will finsh.

You guys didn't scare me a way I think your a great group and we could have a lot of fun.

Ingrid :flower: love the ring idea

Deanna   maybe I could stnad in the lobby at 2pm with a sign like they do at the airport for a meet and greet? :Pinkbounc

Cathy - Welcome aboard, I have early dinner too, I am traveling in a small group DH and DD 3. Maybe we could link together with your group for dinner these guys now how to do it. :cheer2:

We like BINGO, don't know if DD will give me enough MOM time I already planned a pedicure and manicure at the SPA. Would like a massage to but need to wait and see.

I saw the cute priate customes, I love them maybe I will get daughter one, I got her the princess one. :wizard:

I am getting so excited.

Ingrid - I liked the thread you started about things to buy on the ship. :flower: It also got me thinking about the huge bill on the last night of the cruise and what to plan to spend. I remember how much we spent on the last cruise so I think I will be mentally prepared. It adds up so quickly with tips, excursions, photos, drinks, a few souvenirs...yikes!

Marsha - I can't believe you are almost through the whole thread! :teeth: Which costume did you get your daughter?

Welcome to all our newbies! I'm glad you decided to join our group!

Hello to everyone else as well...just giving us a Monday night bump.

We're at the VEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRYYYYYY bottom of page 1. Cathy, glad you could join us :) Hopefully, you'll be able to join us for the pub crawl and card playing.....

Nght all

princess: Julie - I have the Cinderella Costume on Layaway for her, with a camera she doesn't understand Layaway yet we go to the store pick out all the stuff she wants for her birthday then give it to the sales lady in the back of the store and I tell her if she is good, mommy will come back and get some of the stuff for her birthday. She wanted a princess party so I am kinda going with that theme and getting her cruise stuff for her birthday. :cheer2:

I think a few of the girls comeing to her party are wear princess dresses so it should be fun. princess:

:cool1: I am finally done :cool1: I can't believe I did it. All 94 pages now I am up today on everything. I am glad you guys picked a BVP before I was the newbie......... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I have my magnet paper, but not a design yet. I also had a fight with the internet people yesterday and told them to take there internet and the did. So guess I will work on getting a new one.

Chat later have to do some work. :wave2:

Good Morning!

bpicard9 - Bailey got the postcard from Emma. She does love to get mail, especially such a cute postcard. She was grinning as she looked at it. Please tell Emma thanks from Bailey. :goodvibes

Marsha - You should get some sort of prize for reading through every page of our craziness! Now you are truly "in-the-know". :teeth: Bailey has the Cinderella costume as well. Since she has been acquiring them for the past few years, she actually has all of the Princesses now. I really don't know how we are going to pack them, they take up alot of room!! She wore them every night last time we went.

Bye!

Welcome Marsha

Julie- glad Bailey received it. Emma's been asking if her cruise friends got her mail. :)

Em doesn't have all the princess dresses, she's working on it though ;) she says she'd like Cinderella and Jasmine. DH and I are trying to decide what the birthday fairy is bringing this year

I found that last time we went, I used those pack mate compression bags that don't require a vacuum, got them at wal-mart, and the belle dress, snow white, etc packed very well w/ few wrinkles and the sparkleys didn't get on everyone else's clothes.

hi to everyone :)

Hi Everyone,

Well School supplies are done.......ffhhhuu!!!! :cheer2: One less thing to do.

Went to Dollar tree yesterday (love that store) found some great mesh bags with draw string for laundry.
Is anyone else going to attempt to do laundry on board??? I really hate packing up lots of dirty clothes to bring home....plus if I do laundry I don't have to pack as much stuff :Pinkbounc

I'm sorry to say my DD's are past the Princess dress up stage.....I miss that :guilty: We just recently handed down their princess costumes to a friend with a 3yr old........a few years back I made a really cute princess hat for dd, with the flowing netting dotted with jewels......Now she wants to be Darth Vador for halloween..... :rotfl2: ...guess that would be a princess gone bad :rotfl:

David, were you the one who volunteered to link our Capt Marvin resse's??

Hope everyone is having a great week,

I will have to get some of those compression bags for Bailey's dresses. I wish some of them were in better shape, her Jasmine one has the butt ripped out so I don't think we should bring that one!! eek!!

I hope to not do laundry on board. I know, I am just lazy! I was surprised how few clothes we went through. If I pack the same amount, it should get us through all 7 days.

:wave2:

Which brings me to ask...how much clothes DO we bring? I'm really awful with this. I pack EVERYTHING..you know, the ole "just in case"..and end up using 1/4 of the stuff! I'm determined NOT to do laundry on the cruise! And if there are any particular items that we only bring one of, and it gets dirty, I'm going to let the valet service do it for $3. (or whatever they charge)

I am so "uptight" about packing, I've already started! You know, items that I know I won't use until the cruise. DH thinks I'm nuts. I'm the Type A, planner, worrier, daytimer holder...and he is the spontaneous, fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants, plan-something-five-minutes-before kind of guy. As they say..opposites attract.

For the princesses coming on board, princess: do they dress up in their princess dress for dinners? DD has one princess dress, but I don't want her to feel out of place if she is dressed up for dinner and all the other girls are not. Do the girls wear their princess dress for formal evening?

Deanna, Can I take you up on your offer of making a magnetic door sign? With weddings, and work and other stuff that clogs up my life, I don't think I'm going to have to time to dabble in magnetic door sign making. Anything will do. If you have a template set up, and just want to put our names on it, it would be fine. I can pay you for the material.

Ingrid - DD definitely wears her princess costumes to dinner, once for formal night and again on her birthday/pirate night. princess: She'd like to wear more and more often if I'd pack them and help her change for autograph signings ;)

also, I'd be happy to help Deanna or anyone else with door magnets. would probably only get one per family out depending on requests, just let me know. :)

BTW
Who's got a list of our group? :confused3 I can't remember on what page we had names and numbers of each family. If someone could point me to the correct info, thanks.

Hi to everyone!

Ingrid- I would be happy to make a door sign. I would love to have a pic of you and your family. Do you have one stored on a website? PM me if you do. Also PM me the information that you do or don't want on the sign. I would probably put your last names but not your first. Sounds fun. :Pinkbounc

Marsha- You cracked me up on the sign in the lobby idea. :rotfl: Too funny. Have you ever stayed at Ron Jon's before? I haven't. So I'm not even sure the best place to meet and greet. Has anyone else stayed at Ron Jon's before? I'm proud of you reading this whole thread! Wow!

Julie- I've been out of town for several weekends in a row. I'm still hoping to hook up with you though. We are leaving again on Friday for the lake. So this week is out! Bummer. What is the best time and place for you?

We booked the glass bottom boat to butterfly farm..cause DD is scared to play with the stringrays. Ahem! Ok..ok..it's ME! I'm scared. :scared1:

Another question. I heard sometimes that tendering from the ship can be delayed. How long do you figure we should estimate to get from the ship, and tender and walk to Captain Marvins?
