smilingmouse- I don't know if you still need to know, but I just tried to reserve the old town trolly/train tour and it was available. It was 12:35 - 2:25p.m. $22 per person. Did you get it booked yet?

BJmom,

No, I haven't reserved it yet....the site is down, so I can't....hopefully, it will be up soon...

Key West Update:

I can't reserve anything for KY.....UGH!!!!

smilingmouse - I wonder what's going on. I didn't have any trouble earlier today! I'll check again...

Thanks much....it's prob. just me....I have that kind of luck with computers, lol

It's not just you. I couldn't get on this time to make reservations, and I think I saw a thread on the main board about people having problems getting on there. Hope it straightens out soon for you! :)

Morning All,

Anybody staying onboard while at Cozumel?

I'd like to get a potential list of Cribbage/Backgammon/Pub Crawl members going... :rotfl:

David

I'll be going off briefly, but I'll be onboard most of the day....I am interested in playing :)

Hey David
Put us in for a definite MAYBE for the cribbage/backgammon/pub crawl. We don't know yet what we are doing on the Cozumel day until we can book our excursions. And neither of us know how to play backgammon, but we are interested in a game of crib and a game of pub crawl. (tee hee)

Hello ALL :wave2:

Would like to be posting a picture of a huge halibut but NOT. :sad2: Simplu caught our limit but nothing spectacular - 40# 30# 25# 25#. Still tasty.

Took the nephew whitewater rafting this morning. :Pinkbounc Great FUN but lots of work. Especially when I fell out of the boat in the Class 4 rapids. :rotfl: Alaska rivers are NOT exactly hot tubs!!! :cold:
Kind of heart pumping experience & definitely got 30-45 seconds of excitement. :cool1:

Will talk with Chrystina  about making some simple magnet for our door. However, most likely, it will be something simple like a TX & AK refrigerator magnet. ~ Just let know folks where we are from? ~ :grouphug:
Creativity & artwork are definitely NOT one of my strongpoints. :guilty: I have the artistic capabilities of a pile of rocks.

Okay - Off to make some dinner ... CYA in the morning ...

Dennis

Well ~ It appears to have been a quiet morning here on the thread ... :earsboy:

Everyone must be gearing up for the 4th of July BBQ's & Celebrations

Must admit that I am moving a bit slow this morning - Having slept in until 0530 - Must be getting old!!! Anyhow, we had almost slipped onto the 2nd page, so I needed to "bump" us back. :Pinkbounc

And just "for the record" ~~~

5:30??
Not much would motivate me to get up that early in the morning!
I've had a few days off work here and enjoying sleeping in until 10:30!
Back to the grindstone on Monday though. No days off for July and August for me. I have to save all my holidays for September! However, it will well be worth the wait. :bounce: Actually I don't mind so much working in the summer. I work at a college, so with most classes finished for the year it's the perfect opportunity to do really important stuff..like..err..sort the paperclips into colors!

I can't believe it...I just got off Priceline to book our room for Friday, the 23rd. I put a bid in for $43 for an airport 3star and was rejected. It asked me if I wanted to up my bid by $12 and I skipped it...I revised my bid to add Kissimmee and kept it at 3stars and raised the bid to $45 and it was accepted. I almost fell off my seat when I saw it was the Hyatt. I am so psyched since this is the hotel inside the airport and we won't have to take a shuttle and (I think) we won't have to haul our luggage back downstairs in the morning. Oh happy day! Just wanted to post in case others are still looking for a place to stay the night before. Never guaranteed but that's what I did and what I ended up with...

Now I have to go back and read the thread for this last week. Looks like a lot of postings to go through. I spent some days with my sister and her kids in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Fun time even with lotsa rain.

fourfoxes - that's great!! Wow. Now I really feel like I paid too much for our hotel room. I did it through Priceline and I don't even want to tell you how much I paid for a room in Cocoa Beach... :sad2: Anyway, we ended up with the Holiday Inn Cocoa Beach Resort. It is still $50 less than what I had reserved a hotel for a few months ago, but not as cheap as it could be. Oh well. I don't have the patience for Priceline I think. But you made out with a great deal! :goodvibes

Congrats fourfoxes! We had enough air miles rewards to book hotels on points, however, we were limited to Best Western. We are flying down on the 22nd, spending a day at the park, and then off to Port Canaveral on the 24th. Actaully, I wish we would have just spend the extra money and stay at a WDW resort because it's going to cost us as much for transportation. Hubby does'nt want to rent a car. I don't blame him either. He just does'nt want to have to deal with traffic, etc. Anyone here have any good experiences with town car companies? I've been browsing through the DIS boards, but there is just sooo many choices I can't decide.

I'm flying in to Orlando on 9/22 as well :) I'll be staying at the Sheraton Safari (off site). I was one of the fortunate few who was able to book the Holiday Inn for 93 cents/night (internet glitch). The HI won't be open, so they moved us to the Sheraton for the same price.

Regarding transportation, I am using Mears to go to/from the airport, and DCL transport to go to PC from the airport. As far as car companies go, I've only used Tiffany. The drivers were prompt and polite.

Hope this helps....

I'll see you all soon!!!

Ok, now I REALLY feel like I paid too much for my Priceline room!!!! Stuff like that never happens to me!

Hi All :wave2:

Nothing much happening ... Just looking in this morning.

Congrats on the room reservations. I am not one for using Priceline and such. Chrystina  says I am a "control" freak who always wants to decide my own destiny. :confused3 Actually she's probably right. :rotfl:
We'll be staying at Wilderness Lodge Villas for a few days before the cruise.

Well, off to the day's chores ...

Dennis

Honestly, Julie, it was just dumb (but fortunate) luck....I'm a night owl, and I happened to be at the right place (on the Dis ;) ) at the right time :)
