Patti - Welcome abroad, I am staying at the Ron Jon the 22nd & 23rd if your staying there would be great to hook up I have a 3 DD that could meet your DS. We are doing the Captian Marvin Glass Bottom Boat/Butterfly Farm tour. We have early dinner, but I don't think anyone is linked I would be happy to link anyone that wanted to be to my reservations.

Erin - Southernmouse. Glad you are bother are doing good and don't have much damage. I feel bad for the others.

Dennis I will work hard at this dance but maybe its the wrong one I will change it a little. :jumping1: :jumping1: :rockband: :rockband: :thewave: :rockband: :jumping1: :maleficen maybe this one will work.

Thank you so much for all the info you guys have given me so far. I'm not sure about Capt Marvins, only because Caden 3y/o has not completely mastered swimming yet. he has a love hate thing with Stingrays. When we go to the zoo or seaworld he is just dying to see them, but when we get up close he freaks. I love the beach? Any beach trips??? Do you think Capt Marvins excursion will be to tough for a 3 y/o?? I'm definitely going to bring water on board. Bottled water for excursions is $1.00. Last time we cruised we were cat12, I tell you what we didn't care, we were so happy to be there. We didn't spend anytime in the stateroom either. Well, I gotta go thanks for being so welcoming, I will pm the information for meal time when I get home so we can dine with you maybe.

Good morning,
Beautiful morning in Kansas. I feel guilty having such beautiful weather when you hear of the effects of the hurricane! Dennis- where is the tropical storm #14 forming?

Thanks for info about Kino sandals. I keep hearing people talk about them on this board. I've never heard of them before now. But I am NOT a shoe girl. One pair will get me through a year. Ha.

Patti- I believe all beaches in Grand Cayman are public beaches. My friend just got back from there and recommended the beach in front of the Hyatt. She said there is a taxi station there at the hotel too, so you never have to worry about getting back and forth. You will have to take a taxi to a beach, as there is none within walking distance according to her. Ask someone else who has been there. I've never been. She didn't see any beaches with water trampolines, etc. like Cozumel. Have fun in whatever you decide!

Have a great day. Deanna

Patti - we are not doing the stingray tour because of DD 3, I think she would be afraid, I wish she won't be because it looks great. But by booking with Captain Marvin for the Boat and Butterfly Farm, they are not charging me for my daughter like Disney would so I am saving $$.

I am doing the beach thing on Castaway Clay.
Key West I am doing the Couch Republic Trolly Tour & Museum Package
Cozumel We are doing Chankanaab Sea Lion Discovery

Marsha - Great Dance!!!

Deanna - Tropical Depression #14 is still out in the Atlantic 4-500 miles west of the Antilles. I was having a little trouble locating it last night. Will check today. NOT to worry. It goes Tropical Depression/Tropical Storm/Hurricane.

Patti - Stingray Tour may be a little much for your three year old, especially if he is not comfortable with swimming. When I went, the water depth varied from 3.5 - 6 feet. Putting your head underwater and submerging is necessary to fully enjoy the experience. Hope that helps.

Dennis

Dennis - That's great news! I am excited for you and Chrystina! By the way, as soon as I see Chrystina, I am letting her know about the Kino sandals. It is my job as a shoe freak to let everyone know. I am sorry. It is my duty. :angel:

Marsha - I think adding Maleficent and the Rock Band to the hurricane dance will make it work this time! :rotfl:

abfnumber10 - I have heard of some 2 and 3 year old loving the stingray excursion, but I have also heard the stories of them not wanting to get out of the boat once they see all the stingrays in the water. I am ready for my 5 year old to change her mind when we get there and she sees them, even though right now she is excited about it. Everytime I think I can predict what she will do, she does the opposite!

Morning,

Dennis Glad to see your still with us. You asked about the Beach plan. Soo far I think its our family & Julie's & Ingrid (anyone correct me if I'm wront). Plan to hang out at paradise beach for the day. Going ashore asap @ 10:30am, planning on food, fun & sun :sunny:
Congrats on the Job :cheer2: ......Definately need to inform Chrystina about the shoes.......she would be Very upset I'm sure when she see's julie and I wearing our new ones that she was not informed. :teeth: :rotfl:

Erin and Keri - So glad to hear that you are OK. Such devastation. It's beyond words.

Dennis - On a happy note, congrats on the new job. To answer a question from a few pages back, Friendly's is a family restaurant known for their ice cream. I guess it's similar to a HoJo and I thought they were nationwide but maybe they are just in the East.

I just transferred my Disney Rewards to my card to use onboard. $141 for just charging the everyday stuff. Not too bad, I thought. Will pay for 1 of those cabana massages.

Now, I want to know if the "Goth" in the group picture wearing the black dress has a few minutes, could she do my makeup for formal night????

Just sitting here watching the staggering devastation from Katrina. WOW! As I have so very often noted ... "there are people who would like to have my problems". Pray for these folks and for the rest of the country ... this is going to take a LONG time to fix. Like we didn't have enough issues already.

~~~~~
Jamie - I know what Friendly's is ... being a New Englander. Chrystina :love: being a native Texan thinks Blue Bell is the only Ice Cream. :confused3 Me, I like ALL ice cream.. :banana:
YO BRAD :wave2:
Julie - You and Chrystina :love: are kindred spirits. SHOE freaks! :rolleyes1
Kim - Simply stated, I was pleased with the ANG Commander's decision about providing assistance with respect to Chrystina's :love: tasking. She will be that much better prepared.
Deanna - Tropical Depression in the Atlantic actually does not even have a number assigned yet. That is a GOOD thing. Will keep an eye on it.
Back to work ...
Dennis
Hi All,
I wasn't sure I wanted to brave the beach with an extra child, DiDi's DS9, but maybe I'll give it a shot since the rest of my extended 'family' will be there too....
I know the kids are dying to try that iceberg, OK - me too!! :teeth:
I guess I've got some talking to do...
Also, If any of the new people to recently join the post are interested in picking up group shirts, I'm going to place the order on Friday. The more orders I get the cheaper it gets for everyone. Ok, that's my sales pitch for today.
Back to work...
David
PS. CONGRATS DENNIS!!! :cheer2: :banana: :cheer2:
Well i am still here...or at least trying to be...between kids, school, cleaning....yadayadayada...i have been busy...once again i am going to try and get my family together tonight to go over what they want to do....i have been trying to research everything...what is the difference between Paradise beach and the Cozumel Beach Break....does anyone know...i know the PRICE is different but i was wondering what else....i read that the sand is better at the Playa Del Sol Beach...who knows just.....I think my husband and son (10)will want to do the stingray thing. I am sure my son will....but i will probably just stay on the boat with our daughter (30) i know there is no way she will want to do that.....also i know my son will want to snorkel so i am trying to find something for him also.....i guess he can always do that at CC....i was not going to get off the ship at in the Keys (we live in Tampa) but my hubby wants to so I guess we will just walk around and wing it.....thats it for now...i will check back at night.....keri
David, your welcome to join us "beach bums" :teeth: Whats one more kid right??? :rolleyes:
We can all make sure we don't get fried to a crisp, and make it back to the boat in time for Pirate Night pirate:
Hi All,
This will be quick.. I'm using the DH's laptop and he's watching every move I make. He gets nervous when I use his laptop.
First, Erin and Becky, thank God you are okay!!!
Second, Dennis just because you FINALLY got a job does not mean you have a chance in cribbage!!! Congrats!!!
Okay, I took off today. Patrick's back at school and I did the pic thing, shed some tears and picked him up right after school. Gosh, I was a mess :sad1:!!! My baby is now in third grade!!!
Love the group pic. :teeth:
Coffee...yummy, I'm hoping to get my laptop back so that I can post my 4AM Good Mornings and give you the coffee report of the day. Columbian coffee is the best, I'll drink the flavored coffee if I'm forced, but it's not my favorite. Now I still have my Blue Mountain Jamacain Stash. I take that out for special moments. I still have a bag in the freezer. :goodvibes Kim your husband has good taste in coffee. I just went in search of a new coffee machine, mine has a little electical problam, it won't shut off.
The hubby is wearing a suit jacket and dress slacks for the formal night/we just bought him new shirts. Patrick has a suit and a new tie (the tie has palm trees on it, pretty cool). I still do not have any formal attire, I do not wear dresses, and I haven't seen anything that is flattering. The quest is still on.
Kim, me and the DH will be going to the Tulan Ruins the day you all go to the beach. Patrick will have a blast at the beach with Uncle David. Come on David, you know he's low maintenance!!!
Well, I'm going to throw some steaks on the grill now... I'll touch base again tomorrow at work. I MISS MY LAPTOP!!!!
WELCOME ALL NEWBIES!!
Didi :wizard:
Deanna, I'm going to PM you..
Howdy,
I just wanted to check in tonight to read the board. :3dglasses
Didi must not have "been nice" as it is her bedtime and she wasn't able to get back on the board. She has been punished by hubby it appears! :rotfl2:
Brad- glad the boys got to chat a bit online! :cool1:
Keri- good luck planning excursions! I remember those days of planning excursions. It is so hard what to pick. Good luck with getting the family to agree! :flower:
Are any of the newbies scuba divers? :confused3
Must go pick up daughter from gymnastics! Have a good night. Deanna :teeth:
Hi, everyone!
I am just too excited because Clint got me a laptop computer for my birthday today! I am trying to get everything figured out. What a nice husband! :lovestruc
Didi - How can you say you don't have any formal attire? What about your corset/tutu hunter green dress? That's hot stuff. :teeth:
David - It would be great to bring your nephew with you. I have heard such great things, especially for the kids, at Paradise Beach. It should be a fun day. Can't wait! :goodvibes
kwork11 - The Cozumel Beach Break got an 8 out of 10 (10 being the best) in the Passporter Guide to DCL, so that's pretty good. Your price includes taxi fare, admission, use of pool and beach, open bar, water toys, recreation, lunch, etc. This is at Playa del Sol Beach, which I think alot of cruise lines use for their beach break (not 100% sure about that, but I remember something to that affect). If you go to Paradise Beach on your own, you pay for the taxi there and back, but there is no admission to get into the beach. I heard that umbrellas and chairs are free. If you want to use the water trampoline, iceburg, etc you pay $8 for a wristband and get unlimited use. You can buy food and drinks there on the beach, but there is not pool at Paradise Beach. They do have restrooms there. I think no matter what you decide to do, you will have fun. It's a fun beach day, it doesn't get any better than that! :sunny: :goodvibes
