I'm still on the floor. I can't breathe! Ingrid you will be amazing. The "isn't she lovely" touch added by bpicard9 sent me on the ground again. Can someone call 911. My side is aching!

Marsha- glad we will look like twins. Too bad we couldn't afford a beauty like Ingrid's dress. Maybe next time. We will miss you at late seating!

I called Disney today to see if anyone had cancelled a port hole room. The only thing they have left on ship is suites. Yikes. I have to pay for my beautiful dress, I can't afford a suite!

Ingrid- I'll be watching for the bow! Yikes.

Smilingmouse- would you like us to pick a nice beauty dress for ya? We'd be happy to.

Deanna

Me in a gown like Ingrid I am short and round, I would look like a little kid dressed up in mommy's grown, everyone would be on the floor :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: and I would trip on the grown trying to call 911. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Hubby will be in a Suite.

I was thinking on letting my daughter were her Princess Gown for Formal night, any comments on it, do other little ones were theres?

Ladies ~ Two pages on what to wear to formal night? :confused3

Of course, I am a GUY!!!

I have no doubt that Chrystina  will be lovely ... Me? Although I like wearing a tuxedo, DCL formal night is usually a Suit & Tie deal for me ... It has to do with the family atmosphere. Thanks for the "concern" Becky but twelve years of Parochial School and an Irish Matriach prepared me for these types of things ...

Well, It looks like we scared off another "newbie" (Icartjetta - where are you?).

Some Good News ~ Looks like I have a job interview on Monday for an opportunity here in El Paso. Of course, they are looking for someone to start immediately. I can just see me negotiating for two weeks off after only being on the job for two weeks. :rolleyes1 This will be fun!!! I suppose if I get the job, it will cause me to cancel my fishing trip in Alaska in October. What I really need is a job that requires two-four weeks of work each year and 48-50 weeks of paid leave. Oh well ... Wish me luck...

Off for my morning constitutional ... check back later...

Oh...I'm going to look lovely. And after dinner, the cast members are going to be really happy...cause I can just go up and down the aisles sweeping the floor for them.

Just think of all the fabric they will need to fit me into that thing!

And that bow in the back? You better stay far away from me. A little twist of the hip and I could send someone flying.

Ok..who’s next on the victim list?

I don't know what you are talking about. This is a perfectly lovely dress. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh man, that thing is ugly. It would be perfect for sweeping the floor after dinner, though. And that is a great benefit!

Marsha - Deanna may have built my autograph book up too much. :) It is just a small blank scrapbooking book and I put some really, really cute Disney stickers in it. For example, there is a page where Mickey will sign with all of the cute Mickey stickers and on the opposite page, I left a space for the picture I will take of my daughter with Mickey. I have no talent, but I all I had to do was to be able to peel the sticker off the paper and place it strategically in the scrapbook. I was able to do that successfully. :teeth: It does look kind of cute, but not really because I worked hard on it. By the way, I would be happy to find a pretty, pretty perfect formal dress for you if you would like!!!!???? ;) My daughter will most definately be in a Princess dress! It's her favorite part! Oh, and yes, you can drop off at Guest Services a pillowcase or photo mat or t-shirt or something like that to be autographed. JUST DON'T FORGET TO PICK IT UP! I forgot on the last cruise, but they ended up mailing it to us. :goodvibes I ironed on a picture of my kids on each pillowcase and it really looks cute. But it did fade quite a bit after I had to wash it. I think I'll do a t-shirt this time.

Dennis - Good luck at your interview, it would be great to get it! :wizard: And if you find that job of 2-4 weeks of work each year and 48-50 weeks paid leave, please let me know... :listen: Good Luck!

Just saw that someone from StL who's sailing on Sept 17th just got their docs. We should be soon :cool1:  :cool1:

Deanna,

Thanks for the offer...I suspect you'll "accidentally" find something that is "perfect" for me soon ;)
Dennis: where is your sense of adventure?! I bet Deanna and co. could easily find the "perfect" outfit for you too :) Best of luck on the interview....please let us know how it goes :)

ETA: WOOHOO...this is my 1500th post :) Glad I could share it with all of you!

Oh my ladies! I just don't know how I'm going to compete in the formal wear department. Queen Ingrid is going to be just so stunning! Smilingmouse, we need to find you a nice Mary Poppins like outfit, since your the babysitter! :rotfl: How about the white one with the umbrella, ahh yeah that's it! And Deanna, I do believe that I have a bridesmaids dress that sort of looks like the dress that Julie picked out for you, from 1989 still hanging in my closet at my Mom's house! Ya'll(there's a good South Alabama word for you) are crackin me up! :rotfl:

I have to share something funny with ya'll (there's my word again). Holland and I made the society column today(they spelled my last name wrong though)! My mother and a friend called me to tell me that we were in the paper! Holland went to a birthday party for a little girl in her Kindergarten class. I dropped her off and picked her up. Really didn't meet anyone while I was there except the birthday girls mother. I had no idea it was such a HUGE event! :teeth: The lady that writes the column has a daughter in Hollands Kindergarten class and is supposed to be helping me with room mother activities although I haven't even had a face to face meeting with her! Anyway here's a link to my name "in lights", all the way at the bottom of the page.

Well I'm off to pick up Addison from preschool, and do lunch with my mother. I guess I should make sure that I look really good in case anyone recognizes me, now that I'm such a big celeb in the society column and all!!! :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Because it's your 1500th post I picked out something. I like this for you, smilingmouse:

It's apparently the cutting edge of fashion.

Julie, I'd like to see a pic or two, or ten of your auto/scrap book. We have too many Disney autograph books to count, and I'd really like to do something different this time. I like the idea of having photo's next to each signature in the book, and hopefully since it's the cruise and not WDW there won't be a million pages to print pics for. What characters did you pick out, and how did you know which ones to make pages for? Last time we did the pillowcase thing and have never used them, so I don't think that I will do that again.

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
OH MY GOSH !!!! HA HA HA HAHA HAHA HA :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
I'm laughing so hard I'm crying.......someone help me up off the floor :rotfl2: ......

i think Julie's dress takes the cake.......thats HIDEOUS!!!!!!!!
Nice Big Bird dress for Smiling mouse :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

NO NO.....you don't need to find me one REALLY :rotfl: :rotfl:

ohhhh Ok...Ok....I'm better now......

i Did the small 5x7 scrapbooks for DD's last cruise......I didn't pre do pages though....thought it was too much trouble to find specific page to be signed every time....
What I did was each character was a 2 page spread....we asked them to sign on one side and then I put there picture with DD on the oposite page. Did stickers and such later.
I'm not bringing autograph books this time....DDs are getting a bit old.
What we plan to do is of course take pictures and we will add these to the autograph books when we get home, So they each have their own Disney scrapbooks of memories. DD's also get their own disposable camera's so we use those pictures too.

I am bad mom though.....I haven't fully finished their scrapbooks from last time........ :confused3 .....bad mom.....bad mom.......

Oh you guys crack me up.......... :teeth:
Dennis Definitly needs an outfit.

Marsha, I don't think you have to worry about "manners" with this group. I just feel sorry for the rest of the dining room..... :rotfl2:

I'm getting REALLY excited....

Erin - I'm working on scanning some pictures into the computer right now. I hope you aren't disappointed, it's not that great. I'm not done with it yet. So far I have Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto, Goofy and the Princesses. I think I will add Peter Pan and Hook, Chip and Dale, etc. I just tried to remember the ones we had seen on the last trip. It also depends on which ones I can find cute stickers for! :)

What are you trying to say, Kim? :teeth:

I think I will do the two page thing. And make the scapebook after with pictures good idea.

I love the dress, I think it would be great for Pirate night do you think we can get a discount and all us ladies get one so we can all match??? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Dennis GOOD LUCK.

:rotfl: How about one of those elegant tuxedo t-shirts for Dennis and David? Those are so classy!

For those who have cruised among hurricanes before, how did DCL handle it? I know Julie rescheduled one last year. How did that work? Did you have insurance to cover it? Or did DCL just let you switch? Or did they make you switch? :confused3 I'm getting a little nervous about the weather now. Can you tell? :sunny: Here's the no hurricane dance for :dancer: :dancer: Sept.

Deanna

Clint and I were just talking about that this morning. We ended up just canceling it and not using the insurance. There was a penalty, but we paid it. We transferred the insurance to our Jan. cruise. Disney didn't cancel the cruise, that's why we paid a penalty. I am not so worried about it this time. I figure as long as we can get to the airport, the cruise will at least go somewhere - maybe not the scheduled ports, but it will be safe and we'll go somewhere!

I love the idea of the tuxedo t-shirt. That would fit right in with these classy dresses that we are going to wear!

Okay, okay. We keep talking about the sailaway party and nothing is getting done. Let's throw some ideas on the table. Are we just all going to stand around and say howdy to each other. Or do we need more of a plan? Will it be the promenade lounge, secret deck7, or deck 9 or 10?

Some of the cruise meets I've been reading have brought gifts. Anyone in on this idea? Like a little trinket from your state. One for each family?

Or we could each bring one gift per family (or person like Smilingmouse) and do an exchange with one other family. Something cheap like bubbles for the sailaway, or shovels for the sand, or an inexpensive picture frame, or whatever.

Or we could do no gifts and have a game. Some groups have been finding the hidden mickey's together. Didn't someone suggest a game earlier? Was that you, David?

Or we could each bring one Christmas ornament and do an exchange. That way every year you would think of the cruise. Does everyone celebrate Christmas? Many places already have their ornaments displayed such as Hallmark. So each family or person could bring an ornament, and we could exchange them with each other for some fun.

Come on you guys! I know we can come up with some great ideas! You all are too great of planners to let this opportunity go by! Let's hear your input. I'm ready to party! :cheer2:
