Just paid off our cruise so I'll be ready to book everything at the 90 day mark. According to Dreams Unlimited's website, there are 95 days left until sailing. So I am thinking that Saturday is the 90 day mark. I too am wondering if I can stay up until midnight on Friday night to make the reservations. And if midnight is the "magical hour" (to quote ErinC), what time zone are we talking about??

I called DCL and the CM said that 90 days out is June 26. She said at 12:01 a.m. Eastern time you should be able to start making excursion reservations and all of that for the 9-24-05 Magic. Let me know if anyone finds out anything different.

Excellent...thanks b&j's mom for checking! I guess Ill be making a pot of coffee Saturday night and watching the minutes go by... :hourglass

When I first booked this cruise, they told me I would be able to book excursions ninety days out. They gave me Sunday's date to call and schedule excursions. But if I am not mistaken, since the new internet updated website came along, I now have to wait for 75 days out. Is this correct, or am I confused? I am not a castaway club member. It seems like almost everyone else on this thread is a castaway club member. I am jealous!

By the way, I asked on the main boards if anyone has ever hooked their DIS group with Capt. Marvin's. This is the reply I got yesterday................

We did it and it worked fine! Each family made their own reservations but mentioned we were part of the "DIS group". Ruth put us all on the same boat.

Julie- love the pictures of the kids! I wish I could figure out how to do that! All the adults need to put a picture of them on their signature so I would know what you look like. You all would probably laugh if you knew how I have you pictured. It is like reading a book, we all form our own pictures of people...
Here is how my mind has made you.......
Dennis- Very tall. About 6'2" and very slender. Brown hair with glasses. About 50ish. Fun sense of humor.
Julie- Very petite. Brown shoulder length hair and dressed to a "T". Probably early 30s.
Four foxes- forties with short red hair. About 5'5".
David- short, black hair, very thin. Probably in late 30s.
Keri- for some reason I don't have a picture of you in my mind!
bpicard9-Very organized in early 30s. Everything matches...the purse, the shoes, the lipstick, etc. Brown, straight shoulder length hair.
ErinC- 30ish with short brown hair. Average height. Very fun and knows how to have a good time. A stay at home Mom.
Giles family- for some reason I keep thinking you are a man typing, but you are a woman. When you first signed on, I had you pictured as a man. Now I can't get that out of my head. Sorry. I know you are a woman.

The rest of you, I don't have a mental picture of you! Well, how did I do? After reading this, you are going to agree to sending a picture with your signature. Especially the Giles family. :rotfl:

Hope I didn't offend anyone with this e-mail. Julie's kids' pictures just got me thinking. Have fun with it! :rotfl2:

Ok..someone tell me how to put a pic on here..quick!! LOL!
cujo: I think maybe you sensed I "look" like a guy..cause I'm VERY tall (6'1), and built like a football player! My hubby says "I'm a LOT of woman!" Anyone who gets the Flat Mickey Project, there is a pic of me, and the whole family, but if anyone would like to tutor me on how to put a pic under my sig, I'll do it. Wow..I've had a lot of reputations..but being a man is a first! LOL.

I know what you mean cujo, though, on how someone pictures someone by how they write. I use to manage an Edmonton chatline here in the city, and we use to do a get-together every once in a while. The physical appearances never matched, but the personalities sure did after we sat down and talked!

It will be interesting to see how close you were with the other descriptions!

Deanna

Yes, I would like to know how to post or attach a picture to. So far, I have been woefully unsuccessful at it. :confused3

Not so Tall (6'0") - Not so Slender (225-240#) - Weight depends on what I have been up to summer-winter & outdoor-indoor routines. Really bad news is that I "carry weight well" and the older I get the easier it appears to "carry it". :rotfl: than leave it somewhere (like the gym!) :confused3

Good news is woman like my "teddy bear hugs". Kind of a "cute grizzly bear", as my fishing partner's wife describes me... Yes ~ 55 ~ Brown hair - although the gray is creeping in rapidly now ... And blue eyes with glasses (most of the time now) (remember the rhyme of blue-eyed boys "kissing twice")? - that would be me!!! :lovestruc :rolleyes1

Sense of humor? hmmmm - That can probably be debated, not sure my staff would agree. Mine is that "very dry" New England Yankee humor type of stuff. I think my writings tend to be a bit funnier than I am in conversation. Although Chrystina  seems to tolerate me - Of course, she has to - she's the wife - that's right isn't it? NOT too worry though, I can absolutely guarantee that Chrystina  will tell "stories" about my Boston accent.

David & Didi - you will have to help defend the "Queen's English".

Dennis

Deanna,

Is 5'9" short? I like to think of it as average. :flower:

Brown hair is right but you didn't mention the mustache. ;)

Very thin??? I wish... I've been husky since I was a kid. Except in the summer when I was barely home. But I'd like to think that I 'cary it well'.

I'll have to get you all some help getting photo's online. I found a good thread that helped me with the info.

Dennis: I've only played cribbage online at Yahoo but I bet there are a bunch of places to play.

Should I call Captain Marvins about declaring my DIS status?

Gotta run...

Night all.

David

To put a picture on here you have to have it stored online somewhere. There are a few sites to use. I use ofoto.com . Alot of people use photobucket.com There is a free place here on the DIS boards where you can store your digital pictures, but I never have figured it out. Once you get it online somewhere, I can help you from there. It is not too hard to do. There is also a "technical board" on the main page of the DIS Board page at www.disboards.com/index.php? Go almost the whole way down and there it is. That is where I learned to do it.

As far as the description goes - 5'6", blonde, and if dressed to a "T" means T shirt then you are correct! :teeth: I'm a stay at home mom so any nice clothes I have rarely get used!!

Now, Deanna, my picture of you...busty blonde bombshell/model? Am I right? :confused3 Hee, hee ;)

Julie! I'm sure you knew I was a busty blonde because women in Kansas are all known for their beauty! Right? Ha. No blonde locks here. 5'5'', brown hair, and carrying a few extra pounds. Needless to say, I don't think I will be getting any modeling contracts soon.

It sounds like I've gotten Power alaska the closest. Oh well. I tried. :rotfl:

Deanna-Oh yes, Kansas is right up there with California in output of models!

It's so strange because the way Dennis described himself is how I pictured him to be. Weird.

If anyone needs any additional help on getting a picture on here, let me know!

Well ... I think I am part way there with the picture thing ...
Have uploaded to DisBoards ... Now I just have to figure out how to get it attached to the Post It ~ Anyone?

Dennis,
Hope you don't mind. Great photo!!! :sunny:

Here's how I did it:
My auto-email for this DIS group linked me to your photo.
I right clicked on the photo to get it's properties.
In the properties is it's address.
I copied the address and pasted it between

tags

and your photo appeared.

Just checking on the boards before work. Great pic, Dennis. Where are the glasses? It is good to put a face to the typing. I will work on my picture later today. Deanna
