Sept. 23, 2012 Pacific Coast - Wonder Cruise

I was watching our local news last night and the weatherman said that there is a tropical storm way down south near Mexico brewing. He said if it takes a certain path we could see rain here in So CA next Fri. We'll be in SD that day so lets all cross our fingers that it doesn't take that path. I don't want to do Legoland in the rain! I am also counting on sunny skies in Ensenada for some pool time!

Watched the Wonder cruise into San Diego this morning. Not in person, but on the internet. Looks like it arrived outside the bay between 6:30 and 7:00 and is almost to the dock now 7:30 - 7:45 PST. Here is the website if interested http://www.livecruiseshiptracker.com/

This is a great site. I zoomed out to see all the cruise ships on the west coast. The Pacific Northwest is quite busy!

I have had two people ask me if I'm leaving early today for vacation. Nope, not leaving till Sunday.
But I do have to respond that while I may physically still be here, mentally I am already on board that ship

But I do have to respond that while I may physically still be here, mentally I am already on board that ship

Yeah, I may be sitting at my desk all day, but don't expect any brilliant problem solving or in-depth analysis of anything unless it's a run-down of our check-in process

I have not been mentally at work all week, was able to focus for a few hours this morning, but somehow ended up here.

I will not be returning from lunch today - whooo hooo.

Happy Friday - and in more ways than one! I am so close - and yet I feel so far, from being ready. The clothes that are going are ready to be put in the suitcases (actually some of it is already packed, more like our dinner things) that I hope goes quickly. I have not done anything about my airline checkin as yet - had hoped to do this in two checked bags and am fearful that it won't all fit and still have some wiggle room for the extra things I seem to always accumulate on a trip. So, that will just have to wait until I get that done this evening to be sure. I would like to ensure that one of the carryon bags is actually empty when I am finished today.

So, I am officially bugging out until Sunday - safe travels to everyone, enjoy your activities prior to the cruise and hope to see you all at 3:00 in the Promenade Lounge Sunday afternoon!

FE Group #1 I have a copy of the list for everyone thanks to sandracox67 and will bring those to the Meet on Sunday in case there are any cabin changes. I will also bring a write on / wipe off magnet for my cabin door (6511) in case there are any changes. You may also call my cabin and I will post any changes for you. If you question anything during delivery (like there is no FE there) don't leave your goodies as someone could have moved.

I am not on the FE list, I removed my name when we closed the list and went to the second group to help bulk up their numbers. Dont' stress your deliveries (or any part of your cruise) - have fun with it - this is VACATION!!

Just kidding! I am gunka's brother, and was on the Wonder with him this spring. I work in downtown San Diego, and just walked down to the Wonder during lunch.

I actually saw our head waiter from February, Mladdin, and stopped and talked with him for a few minutes. He was heading downtown to check out the sites.
