Tell him that I would love to be his date to watch our arrival in San Francisco!!! But warn him that at that time of the morning...probably with no make-up...I might be scarier than the characters in the Haunted Mansion
Oh...keep an eye on the news. I saw this morning that they will be flying the Space Shuttle (well, the airplane carrying it) over Disneyland on Friday morning. I'll see if I can find a time for you. What a cool thing to see!!!!

I am like 99% sure I have seen Vegemite at the Cost Plus World Market a mile from me- do you want me to swing in and grab and jar of it for you??--its made by Kraft- is that the same thing as back home for you guys??

)WAHOOO! I AM SOOOO EXCITED TO BE CHILLY!!!!!!! Seriously, this SoCal summer has broken me. I'm a S.F. native, our family has been there since 1800's -- I love fog and clouds! It's in the blood!
And how much do I love that the second thing we plan after the actual GG bridge viewing is the "adult beverages" -- you guys rule.

It's a lovely offer but it's too much to ask someone. Oli has to learn to adjust to stuff like other nations food. Travel was a huge part of our lives before the kiddos and he needs to try stuff out, he hasn't an allergy issue to worry about he's just being a 'fussy bugger'. There is so much choice aboard the ship and I'm sure he'll find something or survive on bananas, grapes and a box of goldfish crackers. He has this desire to have a whole fish to eat - the whole fish.![]()

We missed going under the bridge last time so I would be up for trying to make it on deck in time to see it.
In 7th grade Katie went on a 12 day school trip to Costa Rica. By the time she got home she had lost 12 lbs. We asked her why she lost so much weight. She told us that all they had to eat was beans and rice. Katie has always hated beans and rice.
Bill

I'm not used to packing a jacket for the cruise but I know we had one really cold night on deck in April (while watching a movie on the funnelvision) and I know we will need a jacket to be on deck in the early morning when we go under the bridge. Now I just need to decide what jacket to bring.
This is an absolute must for me, and since I usually get up at 4 AM, I'm not anticipating having any trouble catching our voyage "through the gate".

One day closer!!
DH purchased Giants tickets today so we are going to the baseball game Tuesday evening. Should be fun- and after a morning of treking in Muir Woods, the sitting at the game will be a welcome respite I am sure. Just need to get the transportation all ironed out. But then again, he found us on Facebook so could be that is even all ironed out by now. In our 12 years of cruising - this is the first thing he has planned - he even ordered the tickets! What a guy!!

Is there orange juice at the drink stations or will the continental breakfast in the buffet be set up that early? We can bring a bottle of champagne for mixing. I'll pour it into a pitcher in the morning and stick it in my bag for easy bartending.

A trip around the jogging "path" is .33 miles so it will take 39.7 laps for a half marathon. I think I'll settle for a few less laps. Any takers? I think I'll do better if I know someone else is counting on me to go!

About 80% done packing, one day left to work and we'll be cruising in...
THREE DAYS !!!!

Nearly there. I've been up since 3.30AM worrying about packing again. I've got the bag, I just haven't got all the surplus into the bag and the kids want Lego. We are supposed to be doing Magic Morning today and I'm not exactly feeling Magical, more like a stressed packer. I so badly want to have the kids in the Kids Club for awhile and be able to sit somewhere quiet. I love them but two weeks solid with them and DH is hard work - roll on boarding time.A trip around the jogging "path" is .33 miles so it will take 39.7 laps for a half marathon. September 30th cruiser herejust wondering if any of you will be posting on twitter or instagram during your cruise, I know myself and others would love to get a sneek peek before getting on board. Have an amazing cruise guys!
Someone posted (don't remember if it was here, another thread or on fb) that sunrise isn't until 7:00 next week so I went outside at 6:20 this morning to see how light it was. I figured 6:20 would be close to what it will look like at 6:30 next week. And there was plenty of natural light to see things. So we should have no problem seeing the bridge (well, unless there is fog, LOL).
Within 10 minutes though, the sky was turning blue and the sun was starting to reflect off the clouds....just beautiful. I'm looking forward to seeing that sunrise as we sail into San Francisco
