Sept 23, 2007 Wonder

So...what will you be doing exactly 5 months from the moment you read this?

I'll probably be back up on deck after dropping our bags off in our room.

Drinking a Bahama Mama...

Wondering why I didn't come back sooner...:cool2:

I will have just finished dinner and the Lady and I will be exploring the ship or watching the movie or sitting on the balcony watching the shore disappear! :woohoo:

I'm a couple of days late with this, but.... since it's Wednesday at 5 EDT we'll probably be thinking about getting ready for the show and dinner for the night. We have late dining so it's show first. We'll also be regretting that it's the last day on ship. And looking forward to the next trip.
:cool1: :rotfl:

I so need a Bahama Mama and anything else they are offering! How is the Martini Tasting, has anyone ever done that?

The martini tasting was great! We had 5 or 6 different small martinis prepared with a good bit of information about the ingredients and drink origin.

Typically I only drink beer or wine but I enjoyed all but the chocolate martini.

Ooohhh... I can tell the cruise is getting closer. I just booked our airfare today and some materials came from DCL reminding us of the day we can start booking our activities!

We're coming down the 20th and staying thru the 30th, so we'll have two days at the parks before and after the cruise. DD15 will join us at the parks after the cruise is over. :cool2:

WOW you got info from Disney today! That's so cool I can't wait to get that, that means its almost here. Sometimes I feel so bad like I'm rushing the summer away . . . it will be here before we know it.

Yes, we also got our packet in the mail from Disney Cruise Line. I had to hide it in car for half a day from Bethany! I'll be on my phone on August to make my Palo reservations!

Anybody doing any of the Shore Excursions? Spa plans?? Just interested in what everyone else is looking forward to (besides the before mentioned Bahama Mama). :tilt:

So...

Here we sit in the heat and it's only May.

Q: So what are we going to do all summer?
A: Make frosty drinks and dream of September.

We also got our info packet the other day. What a nice way to start off the month. Our group may be getting bigger again, friends of ours are planning on joining our merry party...That would bring our group size to 17. Oh my where are we all going to fit at dinner? Has anyone ever sailed with a "family" group that size? Well at least we're bringing lots of baby sitters for the kids...My poor mom and inlaws have no idea what they're in for...:rolleyes1

On a lighter note, how is everyone else making out with plans? We'd be happy to answer any questions you might have We have sailed way too many times before (per my DW), so we have some insight. Just ask away.

Just an update - Mozart suggested that we have a DIS meet on board at 3:00pm in the Promenade Lounge on September 23. Wear something lime-green to identify yourself. I've updated this information on the "Page 2 List" on this thread. Make sure you take a look and make sure to send me any updates to your information. I'd also like to start a Shore Excursion list there sometime.

Here we go - 4 months 19 days to go and we already have a schedule going! ;)

You're waiting until August to make Palo reservations? Good luck with that. C Club members can make them on June 25th, and everyone else on July 10th.

We're thinking about doing parasailing, but no other excursions. As for spa treatments, right now we're planning on:

2 days each in the steam room
2 manicures
1 couples massage
1 pedicure.

We should finish paying that off just in time for Christmas. Oh yeah, then there's the wine tasting, wine package, bahama mama's, conch coolers, champagne for the sailaway, Palo's brunch and dinner, bike rentals, yadda yadda yadda...

Geez...I just realized how much we sound like a couple of alkies...maybe we should go to the Friends of Bill W. meetings in the mornings.

We're still really up in the air on whether to get off the ship while in Nassau. It could be fun to just hang out on a quiet ship. DW insists we do a massage first thing, so hopefully I can get that booked June 25th. I'm thinking couples massage, so any people who've done it let me know what you thought please.

Mozart, I'll be sipping mojitos during the cruise but not to excess, lol. We'll probably bring a bottle of the Fairy Tale Cuvee on board w/ us. I think it was around $30 at the resorts and $56 on board!

I think I mentioned it earlier, but our son made friends with one of the CM's on CC. Navardo, the sand castle sculptor has been a pen pail w/ DS this past year. I believe DS will be hanging w/ Navardo the entire day so DW and I may just go to the adult beach and chill.

My bad - I quoted the date for final payoff rather than earliest for Palo ressies. I'll be on the phone first thing on July 10. It's all encrypted on my date book in case wandering eyes glance over it.

I'm still looking at Vista - DW and I are not big spa people, but we're interested in new options. I'm interested in what everyone else enjoys - I'm sure this time we'll be going off the ship in Nassau, just because DW has never been there. Next time (look, I'm already planning) we may stay on the ship.

We got our packet yesterday or the day before. We're not planning alot of excursions. We'd like to do the snorkeling in Nassau and at CC. We're going to bring our own snorkels, I think. My younger son wants to get one of the good ones and my DH has problems with them fitting right. Other than that, the brunch at Palo's for the adults is the only other thing we're doing, I think.
It's getting closer!! I think a meet would be great and 3 in the Promenade Lounge seems to be where all the Disboard meets are. Count us in. Just over 4 months left!!!
 :lmao: :cool1: :woohoo: :hourglass

Yikes! I just checked spa prices for a couples treatment. Over $400 - I think we may not be heading to the spa this trip.

On a happier note, we just transferred our ressie to DU and added another $50 to our shipboard credit. If we avoid the spa, the $150 should cover us for the 4 days, which is nice.:thumbsup2

We leave from our house 4 months from today YAY!!!! We're getting closer and closer. I've started getting little things for the cabin steward to leave on my DD pillow at night. Things like princess chapstick and stuff like that. I hope the summer flies by.
:cool1: :rotfl: :woohoo: :cheer2:

I hate to feel like I want to rush through summer, but Sept can't get here soon enough for me, lol. I've had WDW on the brain of late. I ended up making a dinner last night that reminded me of being in Orlando and on the ship - stuffed pizza (a la Giordano's), Mojito's (my preferred cruising drink) and Key Lime pie.

Thankfully the Travel Channel had a program about WDW on last night that helped provide a fix. :happytv:

It's sad, isn't it? I feel like I'm spending all of my life just trying to get time to hurry up so I can actually enjoy a few days here and there.

It's all the Mouse's fault. Certainly not mine.

Ok I can't stand it any longer...When is September going to get here?

We have added another 3 people to our roster for th cruise...Bringing our total to 16...Where are we all going to sit? Who cares we're on a cruise...

We're patiently waiting for the 10th of June to arrive so that we can make our childcare reservations...

My wife and I are really excited about the trip so that we can surprise our families with the wedding...If you are over by the "Heads Up Bar" on Castaway Day, stop by and say congrats...

Although we were married in January (eloped) our families have no idea...So what a surpirse it will be. We have been in conatct with Cathy at Fairy Tale Weddings (she has been great) and all is set so far...

So what is everyone doing so far...Reservations etc..???
