Sept 22, 2013. A Pirate's Life on the Dream.

Just booked this sailing for my family. It will be all of our first cruise and we are extremely excited. My children will be 4.5 and 1.5 months at the time of the cruise. We are being crazy and driving straight to Florida from our home state of Illinois. Anybody else do this? Any advice? or anybody else traveling with children this age?

We just booked as well. Our kids are about the same age. My son will be almost 5 and my daughter will just have turned 2. I suggest lots of snacks and videos! We live in orlando so traveling to port canaveral is not too far

New to DIS Boards. My family is taking our 1st Disney Cruise on Sept. 22,2013. We are very excited. We would love to join the Fish Extenders program. It sounds really fun. We are not sure how we sign up. Any info would be great! ME DH DS DD

Glad you all joined this board - it is a quiet board - I think because people are mainly on Facebook, so if you were to join there you might get more answers.

I am not on Facebook *(got hacked) but am waiting to see if they transfer information to here as I too have asked to join the FE (especially since this will be my sister's first disney cruise).

I am starting to make my dining reservations but the darn site is down for maintenance ah well, just gotta keep trying.

My family is excited too!! We are already counting down the days! I have been on Pinterest looking at FE gifts and love the idea!! I haven't gotten any info just yet. We just booked for this cruise a couple of days ago.

Hello!! This is my first time doing FE so this is what I have learned on these boards and the FB page.
You sign up by giving your cabin # (if known yet), names, ages, gender and if celebrating a special occasion. Right now there's about 15 cabins participating on the FB page. You can sign up until August 22nd I believe it is. I'm not sure how to sign up if not on FB. I will post a comment on the page so maybe the people in charge with check in here.
From what I've read it's totally up to you if you want to give a gift one time or several times. If you want to give one gift to the whole cabin, each person or one for the adults and one for each child. You can make the gift or buy it. There's no minimum/maximum cost. Whatever you are comfortable with. Keeping in mind people have to get it back home in their luggage if flying.

I can't wait to see Fantasyland as well. I booked Be Our Guest for dinner on the 26th, that's our actual anniversary. Looks really cool.

Wish the months would go faster! I can't wait to surprise DH, I booked a verandah in cat 5E like he has wanted but didn't think we could afford. I made it happen since we are kidless this trip. Our DD2 is into everything so we can't trust her with a balcony. Our previous two cruises have been OV so this is exciting!

Can't wait to meet everyone! This will be so much fun!
