AFTERNOON BREAK...1:30 pm Cosmic Rays
Stop and say HI, grab a drink, have lunch

SPECTROMAGIC PARADE...meet in Frontierland/Liberty Square (starting at 7pm-parade time) in front of the Country Bear Jamboree? Is there enough space there? I think so l, we can spread out and save as much as possible for the people who make it there right before the parade.

WISHES..This might be a bit tougher with everyone wanting to be on Main St . We can attempt to go from the parade spot thru Frontierland and into the hub. That side of the hub should not be too full because the parade does not actually go around that section.

GOODNIGHT KISS...We can stand there and say how nice it was to meet everyone as the castle gives us a beautiful reminder of where magic lives.

Edited to add: after Spectro I/we/anyone who is there can go from in front of Country Bear thru the walkway towards Aladdin's Carpet ride past the Aloha Isle over the bridge to the hub. (Basically thru Adventureland)That part of the hub should not be to crowded (the parade does not go around that section)

If you are joining us for WISHES we will be on the left side of the center hub. If your coming down Main St. it will be to the left side hopefully on the circle off the walkway from Adventureland. Look for the green flag and a bunch of chatty people. I'm going to search for some green glowsticks , that should help people to spot us. Any other ideas?

I hope to meet alot of you sometime that day. I promise to be where I listed so everyone can find us.

Its almost time to pack..
See you all on Sept 21st.

Lori

and I like the idea. :grouphug: I'd LOVE to have meet. My suggestion would be to have it at the Pop since it seems like most of us are staying there. Also since the parks close early, we should be OK to meet after they close. I hate to take away from park time. Or we could meet after Wishes or Fantasmic. JMHO

I'll go with whatever the concensus seems to be!I look forward to meeting you all!!

I will be in the MK on Sept. 21 our first day. Would love to meet up with other disers!

We were also planning to be in MK on the 21st- I voted for Spectro.

Whatever is decided I will try to work it in

I think Tuesday is the only night of Spectro durning the week and thought alot of us would try to be there for that.
POP isn't a bad idea either....lets see what more people think.
If we do POP after the park closes that night it could be 10-10:30 before people are back after a 9 pm veiwing of WISHES.

Lets try to keep this towards the top so others can see it.

Lori

We're hoping to be there that week too - and at the MK that night for Spectro. I'd love to meet other folks but we are not staying at PoP (probably at AKL). Spectro will probably be a zoo - do you think we could find each other - get through the crowds and so forth?

Someone mentioned their favorite viewing spot of around the Barber shop or in front of the fire station on Main Street.

I like the idea of Cosmic Ray's but what time would be a difficult issue (assuming some of us take afternoon breaks and some don't, etc).

Whatever you come up with (if it is in the park) I will try to be there - it is a great idea!

Does anyone know which way Spectro parade runs? Does it start back be Frontierland or over by the Barbershop?

I think meeting in front of the Fire Station/City Hall area is a great idea. Most people want to be on Main St. that I bet this place is not as crazy. Lets see what others think.
I'm so excited....I love to meet DISboarders.

Last Oct I met StaceyA and her mom and this past May I met Sharon (hightown) and her DD. My DD and I had a great time with all of them.

Lets keep working on this...it will be fun.

Lori

Last August it started somewhere by the Barbershop - somewhere on Main Street part of the park because we watched it from Frontierland and that was towards the end of the parade. I have looked for a map online of the parade route but didnt' see one.

It would be fun to have a sit down dinner beforehand (like at LTT) with a group of us. Some folks wait for an hour or two on the curb though to hold spots for the parade so it would have to be an early dinner if folks were interested in that. Or possibly have lunch together either at a sit down or counter service spot. We will be in the parks in the morning that day too I think.

Another thought with viewing the parade is that main street is going to be very crowded - perhaps getting nearly unwalkable during that last hour before the parade starts. If we meet for the parade it would possibly (?) eliminate any folks who didn't want to meet early enough to sit and wait. Like someone couldn't just drop by 15 mins before the parade started to say "hi" if the crowds were really bad! And people reserve their spots where they are sitting/standing - if more try to nudge their way in it might not work so well.

I am hardly a veteran of parade watching however! I've pretty much seen only one parade - and that was Spectro last summer - I usually try to avoid the mob scene! (not trying to be a negative voice but I just remember how hard it was last summer to move at all through the crowds even an hour before the parade started!).

Any other ideas or suggestions from other who have met up with people to watch a parade????

There will be crowds but not like other times of the year so we should be ok in finding a spot that works for everyone. I do think trying to get up Main St towards the Barber shop could be dangerous. So maybe somewhere in Frontierland. Liberty Sqaure area is not very big and the center hub will be packed along with the main parts of Main St. I know they rope off the sides in Frontierland for the parade and the side across from Country Bear Jamboree or the shootin arcade might not be too bad.

I have no problem getting to a spot early and waiting and chatting and if a few others would do the same we could have enough spots for everyone. I know people push their way in to watch a parade but Sept shouldn't be that bad.

Any more thoughts?

We could do a counter service lunch between a certain time and anyone wanting to stop and eat with us could or if you just want to stop and say HI thats ok too.

I'm going to make a little lime green flag and attach it to a dowel and put it on the table at lunch time and have it out for the parade so others can see where we are......

I'm getting to excited about this can you tell.

Going to go check to see how my ebay is doing...spending money for Disney of course..................

Have a good night.

Lori

I voted for watching Spectro, since most everybody should be there since it's only showing once or twice that week.

BUT...what if we meet AFTER Spectro at the bakery or somewhere else on Main Street. That way, while the "crowds" are streaming out of the MK, we could meet and have a cup of coffee and watch the mad rush.

Just an idea...

Spectro is at 8 pm and Wishes is at 9 pm which means some people will leave others will not be leaving.
We can do both...have a place to meet to watch Spectro and if you make it there great if not come there after Spectro and will can watch Wishes.
Do any of you get teary-eyed while watching Wishes? There are a few parts that I do...

I can't wait. I love getting up every morning..it puts me one day closer to my trip.

I hope alot of you stop by and say HI.
Lori

I get teary A LOT at WDW! I'm getting teary thinking about what gets me teary!!! LOL!!!

I'm getting teary thinking how close this trip is---and I'm not crying about the budget! LOL!

Whhhhhhaaaaa!!! I WISH I could be there! :teleport: That is my birthday! :bday: If I could choose, I would choose watching Wishes together with buckets of popcorn and tons of Mickey bars :mickeybar all around! We'd each get a balloon and cupcakes :cake: from the bakery. I'll be thinking about you all that day! Have a Magical day!
