Sept 2012 Pre-Trip Report ~ 10 days out & DH has his MNSSHP costume! ~

Just another small update... we're 159 days away from pure bliss.

We're running a Disney promotion at work so the good news it they're playing Disney music over the radio. It's great - though I am sick of hearing 'The Tiki, Tiki, Tiki Room'

Anyhoo, we're getting closer so I'm now looking at summery type clothes. I'm normally a jeans and t-shirt girl so I've decided to have a little change. I'm aiming to be a little more girly.

Recently I went on a shopping trip with my little sister and brought a dress! We also went cinema that day and saw the Muppets.

Here is said dress (it looks better on then in the pic)

It's not really me but thats because I'm not used to dresses. I wore it on a night out and felt good in it, change is good.

At the minute I'm stalking Ebay for more dresses. Just bid on a nice one so fingers crossed I win it!

I've just realised we're going to be there at the same time! My dates are the same as VailaTigger's - 8-22 September

I am waiting for the booking for the wishes dessert party to open too - really looking forward to that - am I right in thinking we can book that at 60 days pre-trip?

Will be keeping an eye on this thread to see how your plans progress!

I know it might be a tad crazy because we haven't booked tickets yet but I ordered my costume.

I've ordered it off Ebay and it's been shipped today!

I've ordered an Ariel costume so hopefully it'll arrive soon and it'll fit. I'm toying with the idea of a wig? Oh and I want to carry around a little Sebastian lol.

DH keeps changing his mind on his costume. He was going as Linguini... but now apparently wants to go as Rick Grimes (from the Walking Dead). Obviously no blood or anything because it can't be too scary. I can't shake the idea of Ariel and Rick walking down Main Street.

My costume has arrived and I've already tried it on. It's not 100% perfect but it'll do for MNSSHP.

For some reason I look rather short on this pic, lol Oh well, you get the general idea. I'm now on the look out for a red wig.

Still waiting on the Dessert Party to open up, getting impatient lol.

Thank you! The Little Mermaid is my fave Disney film and I really wanted to go as Ariel. I didn't feel comfortable enough to stroll around in seashells so the town dress seemed like a good choice. x

Frustrating is the best way to describe the dessert party, we're nearly in double digits and it's still not open lol! Thanks for the comments on the costume, I can't wait to wear it! x

Wow.... It's been a while since I updated.

Infact, it was 140 days to go when I last updated. We're now sitting at 109 days. I can't believe how fast this years going by!

I've got two more things to tick off my list. My passports been sent of and come back, so thats finally over and done with.

Also I booked tickets for MNSSHP. Very excited for that. Eek!

I'm still keeping an eye out for new clothes to take with me... I have spied a t-shirt that says 'Keep calm & don't make me angry' it has the Hulks face on it. Yay! I'm on the look out for a Capt. America tee... but all the ones I've seen so far I don't really like.

As you can probably guess, I *really* like the Avengers. I've seen it three times so far and will go again this week. I have been a Marvel fan for years, so this is very exciting for me.

Looking forward to the new Spidey movie too! All this Marvel-ness is making me itch to go to IOA. I so need to buy Thors Hammer when we go....
Okay, I've talked too much about Marvel (please forgive me, my inner geek is fighting to come out)

I will catch up with everyones PTR/TRs this week! I promise! xx

Okay, just a small update.... We've checked off another thing on our to-do list. On Thursday we paid off our final balance so this is it! It's almost here!

We'll be doing our ESTAs in the next few days.

Feels good to get the final balance out the way.

Also I've brought a new camera (I'm sure I buy a new one ever trip.... lol)

Now we've paid the final balance I can't stop thinking of WDW and what we're going to be doing whilst we're over there.

Well, last night we did our ESTAs so thats another thing knocked off the list.

I've been thinking alot about the trip and I'm trying to get the idea of riding the Hulk into my head. I'm not overly keen on rollercoasters and it took alot to get me on RnRc and Space Mountain. Now I can do both those and Everest (which is now my fave). I don't really know whats stopping me from riding the Hulk, I always chicken out. This trip I'm determined to ride it!

Also on my 'I must do' list is Shark Reef at Typhoon Lagoon - I'm so excited by the idea of seeing and being in the water with little sharks. ___\o/___/\

11 weeks to go! (sounds better then 77 days, yes? )

Okay so it's been a few weeks since I updated this thing.

I can now officially say that I have booked all the ADRs I want, booked MNSSHP & now I have also booked us a table for 2 for the Dessert Party on the 9th of September. It's brilliant being able to get that out the way, I was starting to get a little impatient.

I also found my booking for the Rose and Crown on 12th of September.

Also I'm in the process of emailing photopass to see about upgrading my pre-ordered CD into the Photopass+. Love the idea of being able to have photos of us on the rides as well as the other photopass oppotunities.

So thats about it, the whole planning process is drawing to it's conclusion.

All I have left to do is go clothes shopping (which I think DH plans to head up to Meadow Hall in Sheffield for that), buy a red wig for my costume and of course!..... Pack!

I can't believe how quickly ths year is flying by! WDW is getting closer..

MNSSHP is the best I can't wait to take DD when she is older and go as a family theme incredibles or something lol

Have you got the suitcase out yet? I'm terrible with packing I do it do early! It's not like we need our summer clothes for here in the uk is it?
