M&MN, I have never been asked for ID when checking in so I am guessing that you 'could' just use Mia's name but if you want to be totally honest I would just wait for the general discount, which is expected today. Have not checked the boards yet but they are usually right, within a day or so. I priced French Quarter and it is nearly 150 a night versus 82 for the All Stars. If you like to stay in your room more FQ is much better but the room is just a place to store my stuff and sleep so I do not care. I want more nights at a lower cost. My phone said the same thing.

The groom's mom sent me pictures of the wedding so that I could see pictures of my other beautiful grandchildren. I called the other grandma to let her know to check her email so she could see them too and found that she was very ill. She is much older than I. I talked to her daughter and during the conversation I found out several facts. My dil sometimes talks to one of her sisters so they hear a bit more than I do. Anyway the important fact is that the oldest boy (16) told my ds and ddil that he had had it with them and was moving in with his dad. I am so happy. That means he will be allowed to go to school. Not sure what grade they will put him in. Dil seems to have taught the younger boy well as he is making the honor roll most of the time. I have been so worried about them not getting diplomas or being allowed to see other people. The boys had their father to go to. The girls only have me and I do not think they know about me. They were far too small the last time we were together. The oldest boy was 7 the last time I saw him and I am not sure he would remember me either. His other grandma lives where their dad lives and they do not get to see them and have to be very careful because dil hs told them that if they contact the boys they will not be allowed to go to school. They have other grandkids who go to that small school too so it is a very delicate situation. Sorry about the ramble. Thoughts all a jumble this morning and so hoping for the kids to all be alright.

OKW doesn't have a food court??? So Olivia's is considered table services?? Kellie chose the resort, because we went to SSR last year.

Nancy, is that good news that your surgery was canceled? Was it because it was unnecessary or too dangerous? Glad you got your trip back. What are your dates?

M&N, I am delighted I was first with the good news. Hope it all works out for you. The price of FQ is not so much different now, especially if you were wanting to upgrade to the TS DP anyway. BTW, I know my way to FQ and we eat there often. It is my favorite food court.

Just knocked my cable/tv/phone bill down from $158 to $101. Lots of fighting involved and I have to commit for 2 years. Just watch AT&T come out with U Verse in my area or the prices to go even lower now. I am too old to fight this battle every six months any old way. If I die my heirs will have to worry about it. Ummm, there is an idea. Wonder what other problems I could cause beyond the grave, if I have advance warning.

Thank you M & N and Ms. Linda I couldn't believe that I got my vacation back and with the upgrade and the fact that I never ever get free codes. You all know that I always ask how you guys get them LOL!!

Surgery no it will happen in the fall/winter time they are going to take a section of tendon(??) I think that is what is called. its for Planter Facia(sp) there is like 3 strands in your foot and they will cut a tiny little section out on the inside of both feet ( but will do on foot at a time) so hopefully it this gets me 50% better than I am now I will be in heaven!!!

So sorry to hear about the grand kids. It really stinks sometimes to sit around and watch family screw up their children.

Last I heard my brother's (the one who passed away last year) boys were in DCFS care and the boys grandmother refused to let me take them into my home because she said she wanted them in foster care and it is her choice. Go figure. It is so frustrating. She doesn't let the mother make any decisions and blames anything that happens to the boys on their mother because they live with her.

I did hear from my other brother who said the grandmother just got the boys back again and kicked their mother out so she could keep them. Sad thing is that grandma is the really messed up one and blames everything on her daughter so the state terminated their mothers rights and gave them to grandma. I wonder how long it will take till they realize grandma is not capable of taking care of them either. Then they will be older and even more messed up and there is nothing anyone of us can do about it.

It stinks when you have to sit by and just watch the train wreck and not be able to do what needs to be done to stop it because the powers that be are stopping you. Sadly, this stuff goes on all over.

Ang, it is my contention that those of us who are not totally sure of our sanity are probably more sane than those who are certain of theirs. A bit of insanity makes life interesting as well as bearable.

It must be a whole lot easier to shuffle some papers around on a desk and make a decision on a child's life that way than to actually get up from the desk and go check things out. IMO it is cheaper to spend bucks up front rather than pay them out in substance abuse programs, jail or other adult services and benefits future generations as well.

I am sorry for your situation and, knowing you and your family, even more sorry for the children that will probably not be given the chance to have the loving family, albeit a bit demented , that you could provide.

At my age I would have to be crazy to WANT to take on two, or more children, but my heart seldom listens to my head. I have informed Grumpy Gus that there is no way in Hades that I would turn away a grandchild so he can just get used to the idea now. I figure as long as they do not get between him and his TV set he will not notice they are here anyway. Works when the others visit.

SG, you must look saintly because you are the only Disney guest I know who has never been asked for an ID at check-in. My very first visit, a lone adult with 4 children in tow...they were not going to allow us to check-in without a photo ID (did not have one and no time for the story of how the manager finally gave in)...and it's been the same for 30 years of stays...same for my friends. You my friend, are blessed!

Neither of us was forthcoming with personal info and I sort of mentioned a town near where I live whereupon she says she has connections there. Mentions a few places I know so I fess up to the tiny town I am from. Turns out she grew up here. I am waiting to hear if she was one of the kids who used to come to my house to play.

That's cool. Really is a small world. You reminded me of back in TX. Jacob was in boy scouts and one of the other mothers I always liked and felt like I knew. Well, it turns out her Grandmother was married to my Grandfather. We had played together when we were kids.

M&N, I got your AP rates this morning, but needed to get dressed to take Jacob to therapy, got home not feeling well and just realized I never did post what I found. Here goes:


Nov 29 4 night @ Sports $312, FQ $401, but Music is $244 (I'm wondering now if that is correct, but Music was lower on the next one too.) 5 night Music $305; Sport $390, and FQ $501

Nov 26-Dec 1 Sports is $509, Music is $424, and FQ is not available.

Dec 4 for 4 nights Sports $312, FQ $501. Now, the FQ one was there when I did 4 nights, but wasn't if I did 5. 5 night Sport $390

We're off to do more errands today....meeting with the bankruptcy attorney to sign papers and he will file electronically today, then the meeting with the court clerk in a few week. He said for most people that meeting takes about 3 mins, for me he said it will more like 30 seconds.

I know it sounds insane to to be considering a WDW trip at this time, but I will pay if off a little at time - it is a little trip that will give me a huge emotional boost.

Can't believe I am so public with such personal stuff, but what does it matter? I'm an open book an anyway!!

So Constanze was eating her canned dog food just fine. Now, she won't touch it. Was chatting with Nancy yesterday and she mentioned rice, so I made some for her and cut up some chicken really small and put that in it. She ate the chicken and left the rice. Urghhh. Guess I don't blame her though. Guess I need to go buy a lot of chicken to keep her happy.

Talked to my stepmom last night. They will arrive in Orlando on Thursday and then be at our house Friday afternoon. Going to MK with them on Sunday. This is a large group of teenagers from their church, 65 people in all. I mentioned that Magic Kingdom is my favorite park, but it is more for little ones. She asked about thrill rides, I said there was Splash Mountain and BTMRR and then she asked if it had a water park in it. I have a feeling my Disney magic will be tested on Sunday. We are going to WCC for my birthday at least. My Dad and Stepmom are huge crackups, so I think they will enjoy that.

Sorry the rice didn't work for you maybe try some plain yogart when the belly gets upset! Glad the chicken worked though and if I can come up with anything else i will let you know!! OH heres a thought how about boiled hamburg and rice together or just the hamburg
