I spent Mother's Day trimming bushes. With my balance issues holding a powered hedge trimmer is a delicate operation.
My step daughter, nearly my age, called me and for the first time in her life she has held down a real job for longer than two weeks. I am so hopeful. Her poor mother is dying of cancer and she must be so glad that it looks as if things are finally turning around. I can imagine her worry. I worry too. Living with her dad I figure I know where she got those genes from though.
Lisa, great job! I know how hard that is and you are doing it the right way, slowly but surely. Pounds lost quickly come back even more quickly. I am very proud of you and happy for you.
Diva K, what a divinely wonderful way to spend Mother's Day. I think San Antonio is one of the prettiest places I have ever been. Never did get to see the Alamo though. My darned bil took me to the Lone Star beer company though. He was dismayed because I spent my time looking at the O'Henry(aka William Sidney Porter) collection of books though.
Ang, I got your message today. I am having some computer problems and had to use the cell for a bit and it was a lovely surprise. Glad I got it before winter.

Awww, that Will is just too sweet for words. You deserve him though and he deserves you.
JM, us Trekkers do not like to be called Trekkies.

Did you enjoy the movie? Good special effects? I need to find someone to go watch it with me. Luckily I know some folks who will lend me their sons for the day and be glad that THEY do not have to go or pay for it.
Memorial Day is coming up. My daughter was born that day and my son on Columbus Day. I am very patriotic.
I planted a small garden out front today and just finished filling the bed in with red lava rock. Looks pretty. I would like to put some small decoration out there but it would not last long. Anything in the yard or porch is safe as evidentally they are too lazy to extend themselves that far.
