You all are right in that things must be fun or why do them? That is why I do not try to overbook when I go to DW. I fear some might think me standoffish and such but I do not like making promises that I cannot keep and do not want others to feel obligated to me. I had to break some promises last trip, the Diva's forgave me though. I was just too worn out. I want folks to be glad to see me not feel obligated or "Oh, no, not HER again!" The Internet can be the same as sometimes you just cannot keep up. I think it best not to try so hard. Real friends will understand. 
M&N, I am so sorry to hear about your finances. You are not in the boat alone, lots of good folk are. It is the times. You are blessed to have your son and family and they are blessed to have you. Who better to take care of Sophia so they can work without guilt or worry? BTW, if your family just wants to have one or two sit down meals maybe the CS meal plan would be best? Who knows they may not feel like eating so many TS once they get there and with 2 CS a day they can surely use them even if they do a few meals OP. Just a thought.
JM, shy? Come sit with me awhile. I will get you over that in no time. Tanya plumb tickles me cause she just sits there so quietly but she has that twinkle in her eye that makes me want to know her better.

Hooray Kris! I am glad for you even if I will not be there to see you all again. Sounds like you have some great stuff planned also. It is so much better when you know where to go and what you want to do.

The wonderful thing about the Internet is that you can pretend to be other than who you are really are OR you can be yourself and let it all hang out and be accepted and understood. There would be less need for mental health experts if we could all be up front and honest face to face in our real lives. Of course the fallout might not be worth the price. I vote for truth but many do not. Sort of like pulling out a splinter, do it quickly and it heals faster and is less painful.
Had lunch with an acquaintance today. Not sure it is something that I want to replicate soon. The food was good though.

The fmaily I was helping plan a WDW trip was not my family, but a DIS'er. It is so nice to be able to use 39+ yrs of Disney trips to help someone going for the first time as a family. She has everything all planned now and is so excited. I am excited with and for them!! Can't wait o hear about their trip and see photos.
Too bad about your lunch date - but glad the food was yummy!

M&N, so many folks are faltering, through no fault of their own right now. There but for the grace of God go us all.
I knew it was friends you were planning for. I do it for so many folks that I have actually made up sheets of general information, for couples, families etc. Save me much time and effort. The second best thing to being there is planning for another family. BTW, have you ever considered helping folks plan that have children and possibly they might take you with as a guide and sometime babysitter? Just a thought. Some folks would like to have a night or two to themselves and be able to have two rooms and you could sleep in with the kids and still be on your own some. People get paid big bucks for such services.
The company was even worse than I feared. This lady is older, no big deal, but she has a very narrow range of interests and while we share some of them I have a wider range of interests and she does not understand that nor others having differing opinions on things. She was very short and rude to the waitress as well and I do not like that sort of thing. It is hard finding folks that you are compatible with and especially in my situation. At least it got me out of the house for a bit, a very short bit. She was a fast eater. Maybe she did not find me compatible either.
I had a good day today as nothing hurt, much.

Just trying to beat a flu that has invaded my sinuses and left me with a dry hack. I hate not to be able to breath through my nose while trying to cough. I think it is comparable to being suffocated. Will is still recovering himself.

Who the heck made me warden. I prefer to kick back and watch or teach rather than take charge. How are you? Any more doctor visits? We know your peepers and heart are good as new and I am so happy for you. How are the grandsons? Did DH wake up and see the error of his ways and start treating you like the princess you are yet?

I am sure your problems are extremely overwhelming for you but you are so not alone with todays economy. It is not your failure when you are out actively looking for a job and trying to make it. I bet nobody on the list feels that way about you and I am sad to hear you are feeling that way about yourself. Hold your head up and know you tried your hardest and soon enough you will not have the anxiety you do about money. That's when you will find the perfect job and have no debt to boot.
As for facebook, do you know how many requests and invites I have. UGH! I have around 75 and building each day. I have hearts, shamrocks, and who knows what else coming out my butt. I am starting to feel like the leprechaun on the lucky charms box. lol The choices are to hit the ignore button or leave them there and tell myself I will get to them someday. Maybe when things settle you will come back. We will still be there.

Teens aren't they fun? When we were teens we always hung out in the woods but we never started fires unless we were in a camping area with a fire ring set up. We also didn't live in a fire prone area. We were just looking for a place to hang out where we could be ourselves and talk. Nobody's parents wanted a bunch of teens hanging out in their homes so we had to find somewhere to go. We used to roller skate but they tore down the rink on us.
I do have to say however that when the forest rangers came and tried to chase us out we would just scatter and leave for a little while only to end up back in the woods a bit later. Every once in a while they would show back up but not too often. We never got arrested but I think back then they would have just dropped us off in front of our house. Things are different nowadays.
Are there things for the teens in your area to do? It is sad when kids don't have sports and other after school things to do then they have to try to entertain themselves without the common sense of an older person which can get them in trouble. I am so glad the community center in the town DS goes to school in just started adding activities for the teens on Friday nights and some weekend trips that are not too terribly expensive.
I hope you don't mind if I ask if you are used to smaller town living? I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and now live in a town with a population of 212. They are the difference between night and day. I prefer the city despite all the crime that surrounded us. I find country life boring and depressing with no challenges or things to do. That's just my opinion as I know lots of people who love small town living and find it relaxing.

Ang, because you have been sick I will go easy on you HOWEVER - Am I not 'fresh' also? You hurted my little feelings. BTW, you are not fooling me about not wanting to be in charge and why. It is cause you do not want to have to take responsibility for what goes wrong. I know, I am the same way. I am VP of everything and have avoided being President. We are smart, huh? I am glad that you are feeling a bit better. I hear you about small town life. My town is a bit bigger but I go to the next town up for what social life I have. The kids in town hung out at my house, the nice ones at least cause I was not then, nor ever will be, cool. They do not provide anything for kids to do and the parents do not encourage work so they have far too much time on their hands and that is never good.

Timmie, I am a caffeine addict as well, iced tea, but I guess it is not strong enough. They took me off it for awhile when I was having the heart racing and I nearly died, or wanted to kill someone else.
My youngest grandson has developed an 'attitude'. His older brother is in charge of him today. Should be interesting. Big brother must be in some sort of bad trouble cause he stopped by here yesterday for materials to make an "I'm sorry" card and he had a big bunch of expensive flowers to take to his girlfriend. I told him that he could get flowers for a lot less at Aldi's and then he could afford to mess up 7 times as often.
I am a difficult woman cause if someone messes up with me a sincere apology and good effort to reform are wanted and not expensive presents. If I had accepted presents in lieu I would be a wealthy woman.

I know what you mean about being treated as a princess (cinderella) in my case i just sometimes feel bad that you meet me after being tired as the doormat saying "Welcome Home"... Now in most days if you got dirty paw... the mat would def'ly say "Get Lost"
I dont have any more patience to listen to someone elses "carp" and I thank God that the dis friends I found can understand where my own "carp" is coming from 
I may have deminished the number of friends I have but atleast I can truly says when I am with them or talking to them... I dont have to be pu the " it is ok if you step on me mat".... Expensive I dont need... that is why I work so I can buy things I want... Timmie, my dear. A real friend is someone who cares about your feelings as much as she wants you to care about hers. Anything else is a vampire, they suck the life out of you and move on and when they run out of folks to do it to they complain about being lonely. Took me a long time to learn that and I give it to you for free to save you a decade or two of pain. Back when I was healthy I had oodles of 'friends'. When I got sick and could no longer do for them they disappeared. At first I was saddened but then my brain kicked in and I realized that I then had time to take care of myself a bit more and it was not bad. It is better to have a few real friends than gobs of acquaintances/vampires.
The best cure for loneliness is to think of someone/something other than yourself. Wise folks know that while some sit and complain. You never sit nor complain.

yes... mom had it with the cold and flying back home on Tuesday the 3rd... now that the weather is getting better but she dont believe me since it is still cold
but she will be back in October... and yes I was able to take her to WDW last Dec. 08 not a good experience.. way to busy for her taste... maybe next time it would be better if there would be a next time I am looking forward for the resort that will open in Hawaii in 2010... that I know my mom will enjoy alot...

Your personality is fresh as a teenager looking for trouble so I would never see you as not fresh. You do realize that even as a VP poop rolls down hill and you get it worse than the President from the president, right.
Is youngest DGS at the attitude age. Oldest DGS sounds like a pretty good kid. I don't remember is he still in school?

I know you will be back to working 24/7 and getting that savings account full once more too. Your mother doesn't like the cold but she is coming back in October? That's kind of backward isn't it? lol
You are the perfect nurse who soon enough will be looking for a new person to take care of. Maybe that's why you find the vampires, you want to heal them with your nursing skills. Remember the vampires are beyond having someone else heal them. They are the ones who must find healing from inside themselves and seek out professional help to get through it. Sadly until then they are lost soles always looking for it from others and don't realize they drain them in the process. There are professionals who do that for a living and you are not a psychotherapist.
Oh I forgot if you find a vampire that sucks fat cells give them my phone number and tell them I can keep them alive for years. lol

I didn't mean any insult about the invites. I love them because they remind me that people are thinking about me and care so please don't take it wrong. My problem is that I play Vampire wars on FB and with that you have to invite people you don't know to be friends with you so they can be in your clan. I have over 100 people I don't know and just want to play the game with who send me a million and one requests, causes, and other neat stuff. Now I know they don't really care about me but I don't know how they play half dozen different games on FB, send out a dozen invites etc, and still live life. lol It takes me too much time to ignore all the stuff they send.
Now if you want you are welcome to send me things and kidnap me anytime you want. I don't know what happens sometimes when you have kidnaped me on FB I loose the page? Anyway, I enjoy recieving things from my friends from the dis.
Isn't Typhoon Lagoon awsome. DS and I love the wave pool and we will be doing it in June. I hope it's hot enough because I know October won't be hot enough for me.

Yeo, Timmie you are definitely high octane! I wondered at your mom not wanting to come back until October also. Does not sound like great timing, for a long trip.
Ang and Diva K, you have far more free time than I do. I thought I was going to have some today but a small boy dropped by. I gave him a talking to re his attitude, pointing out the difference between a babysitter and a grandma. The main one being that you pay one and love the other. Not sure it made an impression as he never seems to be told to go away when he needs something. I got on him one time for only calling when he wanted something so he told me that he did not want anything, said about ten words to me and then asked for something. Heck, if I want to be treated this way I could have had more children. We watched "Young Frankenstein". He loves the "Abby Normal" thing. So do I. We watched another movie because I insisted on him watching something new to get him out of his rut, and alleviate my boredom.
Diva K, I just do not have time for any more things even FB. I am editing a book and have just been asked to edit another one. Hope I remember my commas and semi colons. As much as I enjoyed my dgs today it put me a bit further behind. Will have to give up something else, shower, bathroom, eating, not sure which or if all three.
Ang, I told Dalton what you said about me being a fresh teenager. He agreed. He knows me well. BTW, I am rotten as well. I have never been in a swimming pool. I keep thinking I will wear shorts, enough of a shocker for me, and dip my legs in the pool at DW sometime. I wish I had your courage and sense of fun.
I have offered to donate fat cells to some of those skinny Bee Otches out in Hollywood etc. since they do not seem to have enough in their posteriors to inflate their faces. Poor dears.
Big pot of chili on stove for dinner and miles to go before I sleep. Broken bathroom, always something. Got a note from our insurance and they want another $100 a month. How dare they steal from my WDW account! I think DW should be covered by insurance for my mental health.
