Sept. 2009 @ WDW! Be a Pop Tart 2009~come share your(Bounce Back or NOT)Dates !!!

We go in 39 days.

March 20th - 24th.

I love the heat! But I am used to 90s and up because I already live in Florida

Linda,
To hear about deals I go to the resorts board and then there is a codes thread. There is always someone on there who will price out the different plans and tell you which saves the most. I also hit the mousesavers website for info.

Sounds like your DH is looking good but I bet he's cold with all his hair gone.

So how are the grandkids? Sounds like you are enjoying your time with them.

Kristin,
Sounds like a blast going to WDW with all your friends. I was hoping to get to meet you in October but it sounds like you won't be there at the same time as us now. There is always next time though.

Bonz,
I am so, so sorry about LMT and I should have emailed you but I heard rumor that they ended the contest on Tuesday. I am not sure if the rumors were true but I hope you forgive me for not telling you. You didn't miss much though since I got through twice to the video and both times the video froze up and never let me through to the $1 rooms. I can say one thing and that is that if they are that unorgaized I won't be spending any money with them in the future for fear I would end up in the wrong hotel in the wrong city. lol

So did all the snow melt for you today? A lot melted here but there are a lot of huge piles that will be around for quite a while yet. We actually got up to 54 degrees here and it was wonderful.

Let me know if you change your bounceback dates. I hope it is when I will be there.

Melissa,
It sounds like you had a blast doing all the parks the other day. I have never done 4 parks in one day and would be afraid to try. lol

Wic,
I just cut my dog's nails the other day and dang do they grow fast. My one dog is a bear to get her to stay still while cutting them. She would rather pull her leg off than get her nails cut. I won't take her to the vet though because she ends up bleeding all over the place when I take her there because she is more anxious there than at home.

So when are you going back to Disney? Did you do bounceback too? We are going in October this year.

Jennifer,
When is it you will be at Disney? Excuse me if you said it before I can't remember anything lately.

Ang

Hey Ang,

I used to do Peanuts nails myself, but I nicked her quick on day and she cried and bleed...so I swore I'd never do it myself again. I take her to Petco and they do it for $10 now. She doesn't even move when they trim them, other than to kiss the person who's working on her!

Right now, I think we're going to head down to Disney again in September maybe beginning of October this year. Kellie wants to go to the Halloween party. We'll be doing an exchange with our timeshare and staying at one of the DVC's again. Luckily we're flexible with our dates, because we can't do the exchange until 59 days before we want to go. I keep hearing that Disney is really offering some good deals right now, but I'm not getting any codes sent to me...guess I'm not on the right Disney sites! :rotfl2:

When in October are you planning on going???? :confused3

Jennifer and Ang, you gave me a lot of good advice. I am fairly intelligent but I am also simple minded.

Puh-lease. As I recall, you cruised for free on coupons/rebates--a deal that puts my free ddp scores to shame. Sorry about Tom's buzz-cut, but at least it was cheap. :lmao:

Bonzi! Painting sounds fun--I want to paint our bathroom grey, but dh thinks it will look like a prison. Glad I didn't know about the LMT deals--I'm sure I would have put in countless hours for nothing. I do love me a deal!

Ang--thanks for the reminder about mousesavers. I subscribe, but rarely think to go there. They were the ones who originally pointed me towards free ddp! Our bounceback dates are 8/23-9/6, but if I get a pin (not holding out any hopes there ) or the VISA/general public dates begin earlier, I'll probably move up a week. Sounds like most of the glow gang is going later, for F&WF/MNSSHP. That's when I'd really like to go, but for school--it's getting harder to take the kiddies out.

Melissa--I love the front of the monorail, but we haven't done it for a while because one of the drivers told me it's fairly common for them to hit turkey vultures that are resting on the track, especially at night. Me no want to see that! :crazy2:

Nothing is set in stone...in fact it may not happen at all, August or October...:sad2:
Diva Mary's DH is giving her grief over the trip (job issues, economy, $$$) and Diva Becky and her DH are just having issues...my DH is the easy one! ;)

Sorry to hear about the uncertainty around the trip(s). We had the same sort of concerns, especially since my dh is supposed to be laid off soon. But the deals were so great, plus it may be the only year we can get 3 trips out of an AP, so we're biting the bullet. My dh is a little odd (in a good way) in that he sees the layoff as a reason to schedule more travel, not cancel everything. Not that we're financially set (I'm sure Suze Orman would tell us we shouldn't go at all this year, nor should we have gone last year, or the year before, or the year before. . . ), but once he starts a new job, there will be less vacation time. But who knows--maybe he'll get lucky, get offered a move to Austin, and the housing market will rebound so we can sell our house for more than the mortgage payoff. If you're going to dream, dream big, right?

We don't try to do everything together...we may all go to the same park but split up and then meet back up, off and on all day...we try to all get together for at least one meal a day :grouphug:
Diva Becky mentioned Wolfgang Puck's Express for our trip last September but we never made it to DTD :hourglass

Ah--splitting up. I was wondering how you managed to do a trip together and still want to go back for more! My dad wanted us all (my family and my brother's family) to go to WDW together, but I talked him into a cruise instead. Maybe it's selfish, but WDW is our family's special place, and our (my and my sil's) ideas of vacation are very different. And now I know I made the right decision--even after I told them about all the great deals, my brother and sil booked their first trip to WDW for their kids (4 and 5)--an offsite townhome so they could hang out there and cook most of their own meals. Not that there's anything wrong with that--but it's just not the way we roll.

We go in 39 days.

March 20th - 24th.

I love the heat! But I am used to 90s and up because I already live in Florida

We'll just miss you--we'll be there March 29-April 4. Have a great trip!

Happy Grammy night! It's no Super Bowl, but any excuse for a celebration, right? :cool1:

Timmy, someone has you on caller block, I don't believe that! Everyone talks to you! ::yes::
Kathy

::yes:: there's a few numbers that are not available for me to call anymore :rotfl2: :thumbsup2

but a Dole Whip @MK with pirate's water (rum) isn't bad either!pirate:

another dole whip location... by O'hana CS... grab and go by the pool or grab a nice lounging chair waiting for wishes :goodvibes or even just on a nice hot sunny day will do also!

Timmie, So the popular folk just let you hang around them cause they feel sorry for you or something?:rotfl2:

well if not feeling sorry... they must be feeling sorry and need some comic relief... I have pictures to prove it too.. thanks Ang :rotfl2:

while the parents partake in some of those slushie drinks Timmie mentioned! :drinking1
:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Painting kitchen dove grey,
'
 she gotta have some grey on those walls!!!!

Diva K, I liked Sea World.

The possibilities are endless. I am so excited for you all.

SG

dont forget Sea World now got the Aquatica!!!

We go in 39 days.

:welcome::cheer2: :grouphug:

Hey, it sure got busy around here. Glad to see you all. I get lonesome by myself sometimes. Good thing I enjoy talking to myself though. :lmao:

Diva K, I kinda sorta figured that you would say that you did not attempt to stay together all the time. Wise, very wise. Besides if you are together all the time what do you have to talk about? Pucks is the place. Best bang for your CS buck in my opinion, much better quality than Pepper Market. Since you have a car you might want to try them both though. It opens up so many alternatives as far as dining when you do not have to depend on buses. I love Sassagoula at POR also. Eat outside and swear you are in New Orleans, as you wish it was. Take a carriage ride, grab a boat over to DTD, listen to the piano player but beware those pitchers of beer!:faint: I hope it works out with your friends but if it does not your family should go anyway. It will just be a different kind of trip but will be delightful in its own way.

Timmie, you done left out waiting to see EWP after or before Wishes from the Poly beach. Last time I was there a CM came over with towels and tucked Miss Lucy and I in. We loved it! :cool1:

Thunderbird, you remembered that? :rotfl: Yes, but I had about twenty years to slowly learn what to do and if I did not do it right we did not eat. Incentives, it is all about incentives. I am also heavily medicated these days. One of my medicines was recalled awhile ago but they did not tell me, I found out by accident the other day. :rolleyes2 It is the one that keeps my chest from hurting. No problem, why should my chest not hurt when everything else, including my hair does?:bitelip: I am Suze Orman's dream and I think you should go. Maybe go budget but go. I am older and I can tell you that you regret the things you did not do more than those you did do. If we have to eat dog food in our later years what does it matter since we will probably be senile won't know the difference any old way? :rotfl:

Hi there Hollywood! Hooray for you, you lucky dog you. You could keep us from being too envious by giving us your address so we could stay at your place on our way to WDW. :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Back to sorting pictures. Would you believe that I accidentally lost a whole file of pictures? Guess which ones. Disney, of course. Which segment. Magic Kingdom of course. Luckily I knew how to track them down and get them all back, this time. :cheer2:

I have been enjoying seeing all of your beautiful faces while filing. Psst, some of you might want to contact me. For a reasonable fee I could accidentally 'lose' certain pictures I took of you. (and that is how I plan to finance MY next trip)

yes they are very nice there... :cloud9: I fell asleep one time and when i woke up just like you said nicely tucked in...:dance3:

I once had to spend the night on the beach at Virginia Beach. How come falling asleep on the Poly beach seems so much more appropriate? :rotfl: Not to mention safer?

SG

Good Morning Gang, I need to get busy with some planning, still haven't doen one darn thing.... I need to get busy!

MsDisney23, you are not fooling me. Planning? We do not need any darned planning, we know all there is to know. You just do not want to start on the work part that is necessary to get to the fun part. I know, I suffer the same affliction. :rotfl:

BTW, if you really need to do any planning just ask and someone on here will gladly tell you where to go. :lmao:

Just kidding you. It is early in the day, maybe you will get in gear a bit later. I usually do.

Jacob would blame that on me if it happened. A couple of years ago on the way to school, I hit a bird and it slid down the windshield and landed there where the windshield wipers are. It stayed there. :scared1: When I got to the school I asked for some papertowels and had to pick the poor thing up and throw it away. Jacob still calls me the bird killer.:sad2:

It can be hard to travel with others. I learned that when my DMIL went with us our first trip at WDW.

I am older and I can tell you that you regret the things you did not do more than those you did do. If we have to eat dog food in our later years what does it matter since we will probably be senile won't know the difference any old way? :rotfl:

I totally agree with this. I believe in saving, but you have to enjoy some of it today because you may not be around or able tomorrow!

JM, mom's are all powerful. We are to blame for everything and also expected to read minds. :lmao: I had an accident with an animal a long time ago, it was a choice of the animal or getting rear ended and my children were in the backseat. My daugher who nearly 40 has never forgiven me. It amazes me that the child who cannot remember to do homework, clean their room, take out the trast etc. can remember every misdeed I ever did, or they think I did. :rolleyes1

I love my DIS friends but do not want to spend every waking moment with anyone, DIS or not. My life is on a timetable normally and being able to walk around with no one to consider but myself for a bit here and there is what DW is for me. I met many folks for a meal and even wandered AK with one special friend and son and that was lovely. Lucy, dear as she was/is made it harder as I had to think of her and do for her and I am just weary. I do not need nor want anyone to do for me either. BTW, poor Lucy is in TN with her dad who has a short time to live. They did not meet until late in life so this is especially hard on her. :grouphug:

I know many folks who put trips off until they retired and the husband, usually, passed away and there they are with dreams unfulfilled and while the woman might go alone it is not usually the same. DW is best enjoyed with your children and they grow up so fast and family vacations are much harder, if at all possible, to do.

I feel that I would spend nearly as much on gas being home for two weeks as I do at DW as I do not drive much there. Have to eat somewhere and I am an expert on stretching the dollar so we have eaten on less than $20 a day for the both of us and could again. I have no need of more trinkets so the gift shops do not scare me. The park passes are a bit of a problem but I have a nice stack of one day tickets available and do not need to go to the parks every single day any old way. When you add in the savings on utilities by shutting down things at home you can usually justify a Disney vacation. :dance3:

You thought I was kidding about selling certain pictures to certain people? :scared1: :teacher:

Have to get my shoes on and head over to read to the kids. I have some new books for them. Repetition is the key. They love to 'read' along with me. Hooray for "Big Green Monster". It is their favorite book and if they behave I read it last. I am no fool.

Morning all,

Just thought I would Pop in "Get It" LOL!!! :rotfl2: I am in a very funny mood this morning was told on Friday that on March 12th I am to have back surgery for blown disk on L4/L5 to help with leg problems but sadly not the feet so back to the foot doc.

I haven't book back YET but can't wait to see what Disney is going to come up with soon I saw the free dining and Wic and I were talking about dates and such. I just hope that some of our dates run together so we can see each other again and maybe start a new!!! Miss alot of you all!!! I have Everyone's numbers still and they all work no blocks here :thumbsup2 so if anyone one wants to talk give it a call :rotfl2: :worship: popcorn:: :rolleyes1

Ms. Linda how are you feeling these days everything all better since this last thing you had done???

Bonzi miss you gal:sad2:

Hi to everyone else.

I keep hearing that Disney is really offering some good deals right now, but I'm not getting any codes sent to me...guess I'm not on the right Disney sites! :rotfl2:

That makes 3 of us here--you, me and Ang. They must know they've already got us. :confused3

I am Suze Orman's dream and I think you should go. Maybe go budget but go. I am older and I can tell you that you regret the things you did not do more than those you did do. If we have to eat dog food in our later years what does it matter since we will probably be senile won't know the difference any old way? :rotfl:

:thumbsup2 I'd rather leave my kids with good memories of fun times spent together than a whopping inheritance. My dh lost his dad last year, and really the only thing he wanted were the boxes of slides his dad took over the years. Far more valuable than anything of any monetary value.

I have been enjoying seeing all of your beautiful faces while filing. Psst, some of you might want to contact me. For a reasonable fee I could accidentally 'lose' certain pictures I took of you. (and that is how I plan to finance MY next trip)

:headache: [Struggles to remember if she did anything blackmail-worthy in front of Miss Linda!]

yes they are very nice there... :cloud9: I fell asleep one time and when i woke up just like you said nicely tucked in...:dance3:

Another thing for my bucket list--falling asleep on the beach at Poly! Though it might lead to more of those aforementioned photos by Linda.

Good Morning Gang, I need to get busy with some planning, still haven't doen one darn thing.... I need to get busy!

:wave2: Long time no see! Enjoyed running into you at Epcot and the ToT meet last year, and glad to hear you're doing well. I just cleaned out the binder from the last trip this weekend, so I'm not much ahead of you in the planning department.

I totally agree with this. I believe in saving, but you have to enjoy some of it today because you may not be around or able tomorrow!

There's a cartoon that shows an old man in a doctor's office complaining of everything that's wrong with him, and the doctor tells him, "Remember all those years you added to your life by clean living? These are those years!" :lmao:

Morning all,

Just thought I would Pop in "Get It" LOL!!! :rotfl2: I am in a very funny mood this morning was told on Friday that on March 12th I am to have back surgery for blown disk on L4/L5 to help with leg problems but sadly not the feet so back to the foot doc.

:rotfl: Ha ha ha on the Pop! Sorry to hear about the surgery, but if it helps, hopefully it will be worth it. Definitely too many good deals at Disney this year, and I want to take advantage of them ALL! Unfortunately, the banks and credit card companies tell me otherwise.

Hope you all are having a great Monday!

Thunderbird, I am a frequent guest and sometimes I get codes and sometimes I do not. No rhyme or reason, I even got two when I am already booked for the year. Of course they know that I once visited FOUR times in one year so maybe they figure they can wrangle another visit? :lmao:

When folks pass away they leave me their pictures and my sister their jewelry.
Works for me! Life is short and you have to have a balance, work, play, save and spend. It is scary in today's environment though. It is easy for me to speak of spending as we are retired and have everything paid in full. Not as much stress, unless the kids and grandkids move in.:rotfl2:

Believe me, all the things that folks have done in front of me all these years if I were the blackmailing kind I would be staying at the GF instead of the AS. Not really cause I figure they might require me to wear shoes at the GF. Nice place to visit but I would not want to actually stay there. :snooty:

Pooh, glad to hear that you are getting fixed up. What is the matter your doctor too lazy to stick around to get to the feet? :confused3 I bet your feet will improve some after getting your back fixed though. How long will it take for you to recover? I am assuming that you will have to take it easy for awhile. Where are you going to go for the surgery?

I am having a headache. I am attempting my first file sharing between computers and not having any luck at all. One site says it is easy and they explain it in less than a minute. I must be missing something along the way. Something simple, usually is. :sad2: Bet is the big batch of Disney pics that is causing the problem, especially 'certain' pictures. I am saving them up for when you get a lucrative deal and are afraid of losing it. :rolleyes1

Nah I have 2 surgeons saying that the back has nothing to do with my Feet but it does have something to do with my legs so 1 piece of the puzzle is going to be in place now onto the next one after this.

I am having the surgery at St. Thomas hospital on March 12 at 8 in the morning. Dr. Ehrler said that is should take about an hour to do the surgery unless there are complications or he finds something else that the MRI and x-rays haven't seen but other than that should be up and about in about 2 to 3 weeks.

So who here is on Facebook?!?!?
I swore I wouldn't join but my brother tricked me into it so I could look at his pictures...now I am hooked!
