Unlike the bunch of idiots that spent the nite on Gobbler's Knob, I am smart enuf to stay home in my nice warm (and sober) house. Only been to the festival held down in the town afterwards once....YAWN! Thank goddess, we were close enuf to just pop back home after a while. I cant believe people actually travel from overseas to freeze their behinds off all nite long just to see a rather fat rodent be shoved in a (heated btw) log and yanked out into the cold by the scruff of his neck. Personally if I was the rat I would scream shadow too if only to tick off the crowd.

Bonz.unless I misunderstood the weather report you are doing better than me once again. It is snowing and promises to dump another couple of inches on top of the ice that has yet to melt. No TOPS today and I worked so hard to have a loss for the week.

BTW, on my September trip I ate few TS meals and converted almost all my TS into CS plus TWO snacks. It is better than the CS meal plan cause you then have THREE snacks a day! You just tell the cashier that you want to use a TS for a CS and they take care of the rest, you get coupons to use toward the snacks.

As far as Groundhog Day being thought up by a man, it surely was. No woman would think up a holiday that does not include decorations, presents and sleeping in. We should be grateful that men did not think to include some sort of celebratory meal.

I am going to clean registers today. Lovely job. Someone has to do it, or at least I think I do.

After I get my work done I am going to drag out my December agenda and do a bit of daydreaming.

Hi Ms. Linda !!! Well we did get a acouple of inches last week and none last night... still expecting flurries and low temp but thats it...

I myself is looking forward for the 2 CS dining plan... but this year 2009 I am hoping to go Home not using the Dining Plan .. just the 20% discount table of the world thingie...I am not sure what it is called this days and since I will be using points this year so no free dining...

Happy cleaning... yesterday took mom to the movies and walk to Borders had some coffee and browse some Disney Travel Books.. she cannot still understand my love for the mouse

Well I will miss you and Bonz in December... as soon as March get here I will have a more clear idea on when I can inject a 3 day trip here and there and hopefully try to coordinate with Bonz and Ang for a trip...

Whatever would we ladies do without having men to blame for everything?

Timmie, we were to get more snow last night but it did not start until this morning and then it came with a fury. Luckily it was before I was supposed to start for town and so all activities were cancelled so I am enjoying the day at home. I just dusted off all my Disney toys and they look so shiny. Everyone thinks I have them for the grandkids but they are mine, all mine!! I added a couple of new things last trip because of some special friends and as I dusted them off I thought of you all.

I have the ten heating vents downstairs all cleaned. Also had to do the air returns and they are fun as they are over 100 years old. Nearly as old as me.

Hoping someone younger will come along and shovel this evening. Oldest grandson is grounded because of grades so he does not have keys to the kingdom/car. Youngest grandson has short legs and cannot walk this far from his home. He is so short that he could not be seen walking through the drifts either. He is a cross country runner though.

Okay you win, Bonz. This is a contest I do not want to win any old way. I think we got more than the expected couple of inches and it is drifting. If you do not have to go anywhere or really want to it is not too bad, until you get the utility bills anyway. It is supposed to warm up here to near 50's in a couple of days so I should be able to make the dump Saturday and go into town to do some chores. Have to make a run for it when we can so that we are prepared for this 'stuff'.

How are you holding up? Having to go to work? Any school? Utilities working? I have room to spare should you need to head south. We could hunker down and just stay on the DIS all day long. I have two computers and will share.

Linda, I'd gladly be the loser in this game So far no probs, finished up subbing on Mon & have a sick kid. Won't be going anywhere soon. I appreciate the offer. We are supposed to have a big warm up over the weekend, which could be just as bad if all the snow melts. There will be major flooding problems. Stay in touch

Bonz, looks like you and I will both be thawing out in a couple of days. Luckily our house has never flooded in all these years and is not likely to after it not being hurt with the big flood we had this spring. Hope you fare as well. What is the matter with your kiddo?

Ang, has Will gotten off restriction yet? Ever notice that YOU suffer more than them when they are being grounded and such? It pays off down the road though.

BTW, I won my battle with Comcast, finally. Instead of signing in as me, female me, I signed on under my husband's name and talked 'man'. I got the overcharges taken off as well as the one fee of nearly $30. Next I will see about getting my own modem and cutting the $3 off. I did not want to stretch my luck this time. Saved nearly $70 off the bill. Wonder how many pay it and do not bother? Must be worth it to Comcast. Not to me.

Just finished shoveling the front porch, steps and sidewalk and digging my neighbor out of his driveway. Only had to do the end where it was piled up. Did part of the sidewalk to the garage, very long. Heart must be doing alright.

Sorry to hear everyone is being effected by the bad weather.

SG, glad you got the Comcast bill taken care of. I hate hearing that you had to sign in as the husband though. I just had a fight with the pediatricians office and a claim the insurance denied. The docs office kept telling me I had to pay it and I had the explanation of benefits telling me I wasn't responsible. It finally got taken care of, especially after I explained I use to work for BCBS of SC and know how these things work. Same as you, I wonder how many people just pay the bill and don't ask.

Also, not that you want to shovel snow, but doesn't it make you feel good to know you are able to.

bonzarella, sorry you have a sick kiddo. I hate that, but sometimes it is nice if they sleep all day. Hope your kiddo gets well soon.

Thanks for all the kiddo well wishes. He has an ear infection, strept throat & sinus. Youngest had 2 of the three last week Nothing like spreading the germs
I have never seen so much snow in so little time, we are right in the band. Since 2pm we have at least 18 inches now & still coming, no school tomorrow
again Now I'll have them both home

Bonz, we got about another 4-5 inches yesterday but thankfully it was the light fluffy kind so I was able to shovel it without much effect. Tom got upset at me for running the water in the sink. I was thawing out my poor fingers. TS In his defense he was far too engrossed in his TV show to know (or care) that I had been shoveling snow. He thinks elves take care of all these things. I am sorry that you have to have sick kids in all this mess. It would help if they all got sick at once and well also. Just put them all in one big bed and give them meds at one time et al. You could sleep when they did. Unfortunately it does not seem to work that way. Hope everyone is feeling better today.

JM, I just hate having to argue all the time. It would pay the company to be more careful and easier to understand. It would be so much cheaper than paying millions for advertising to get new customers. Happy customers are the best advertisement. Even though it got fixed in the end it still left a bad impression. I wish every company were as well run as Netflix. I am in awe of that company and plan to buy stock. Lots of stock. I used to work for BCBS myself. Many years ago.

Diva K, I talkd to a friend who lives not too far from Disney who told me that they 'might' be getting a few flecks of the white stuff themselves. Not quite enough for Mickey to make a snow angel though. He can come visit me though!
