Sept. 2009 @ WDW! Be a Pop Tart 2009~come share your(Bounce Back or NOT)Dates !!!

Hello there old pals!

Everything went well yesterday but I am glad it is over and done with. They only had to shock me twice, which I am guessing is a good thing. No pain other than the IV and not much there as I had a wonderful nurse. I was able to walk out an hour after the procedure and felt like I could have driven home but was probably better that I did not. We all went out to eat afterward and I rewarded myself with some banana nut bread. This can last for hours or years and I am hoping for the later. I think I can feel a difference but it will take me exerting myself some to know for sure. It is hard being big and healthy looking and being a wimp.

My grandson has a basketball game today so I am going to that. The school is just a mile from my house and then a friend is having a surprise birthday party (even closer) so I am going to try to drop by there. I also have to make a quick trip to WM (next town over) to replenish the Baclava tray that I have decimated. I am thinking I might skip the last weigh in of the year in order to maintain my double digit (barely) loss for the year. I have been bad.

The book I took with me to read yesterday stated that they used to use earwax for their lips. I am sure glad I live in modern times.:scared1:

Thank you all for your care and concern. I appreciate it.

BTW, can I still be a POP Tart even if I decide to stay at Sports next time? :dance3: I am just waiting to see if this holds before starting to look for a good deal. Hope Ang is right about a rumor she heard and that they add some sort of free dining to the B4G3F package.

We took Evie to see Santa last night. As we're in line, I see her ticking off items on her fingers and mumbling "Bakugan, Biscuit my lovin' pup, martian matter, Nintendo DS". She wanted to make sure that she remembered everything. Then, using a trick I learned with Disney Princesses, I said to Evie (close enough for Santa to hear), "I wonder if Santa will remember bunny too." Bunny has been in all of her Santa photos. Last year, bunny even had a dress on. Santa commented on the dress and brought bunny a couple of outfits for Christmas. Evie approached him almost shyly but when Santa said, "Why, I remember this bunny!" She got so excited, grinned from ear to ear and hopped right up on his lap.
Since she's 7 years old this year, I think this might be the last year that she totally and completely believes in him 100%. Next year, she'll be asking questions and have doubts.

We booked our Bounce Back for All Star Movies and we're going the last week of August. I'm sure I won't meet up with any of you guys in 2009. However, I did the actual bounceback part & booked my trip while I was IN my room at Pop Century. I'm thinking that makes me a BounceBack Pop Tart, so I'm just going with it.

I am in DH's office now, lamenting over all the missed bargains yesterday. Snow, 10+ called for tomorrow & bitter cold(3 w/o wind chill). I hope this has stayed away from your area, imagine Ang is getting hit also. So if for some reason we have not gotten back up in the next few day.....I wish you all a

You have a Merry Christmas also! As much as I love snow, I hate that it can cause families not to be together etc. Everyone stay safe!

What a great idea about Bunny! My son is 10 and we still haven't had questions about Santa.

Linda, glad everything went well. The shocking twice had me a little freaked out also, then to read you went to dinner afterwards shocked me!

By the way, can I still be a member? I bounced back for next September, but have never stayed at Pop. Really want to stay at all the resorts some time in my life. My poor DH thinks we will never go on any other vacation except WDW now. IS there any other place????

Well, Jacob and I are off to DtD for the day. I want to get a friend some sort of Disney graduation gift. And I am taking the new camera for my first Disney pics with it.

Hope everyone has a great day!!!

Folks, I have to tell you that the cardioversion was so easy that I kept waiting for them to put me out when, what to my surprise, I found out that they already had, done the shock treatments and had woken me back up. The paperwork took an hour, the procedure about five minutes. I am grateful that I had something wrong that could be fixed, even if temporary.

M2E, I love that story! You are so clever. I used to do the same things with my kids. My 17 year old grandson recently confided that he 'sort of' still believes. I totally do. What a beautiful picture. What a beautiful little girl.

Bonz, I think there will be many, many bargains after the holidays so you might well have done good by missing this round. It is just cold down in these parts and that is unusual. Might have a bit of snow early next week though. We hide behind the Brown County hills. :wizard:

JM, I think it is all in the attitude as far as being POP Tarts. You can take the gal out of the POP but the Tart remains forever. :lmao:

I went to my grandson's basketball game, he made 8 of the 24 points and many assists. I then went to an old friend's 60th BD party for a bit. No pains in the chest, so far. My knee is killing me and that is a good omen as my chest hurt so much before that I did not notice the knee. :cool1:

I hope everyone is having a great weekend, keeping warm, and not having too much last minute stuff to do.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

We made it back from DtD. Not too crowded today, but it was on its way to being crowded for evening which isn't unusal.

Bought 4 mugs at 40% off and one of the Goofy Santa Hats for $38, I figured that isn't too bad. That included my Disney Visa discount. Love that card and the World of Disney.

Anyone know how long the sales will be going? Is this normal for there to be a sale like this Christmas? If so, I'll have to save it for next year.

JM, congrats on your shopping spree. Sounds like you got a lot of neat stuff. I have a feeling that there are going to be many sales in the coming year(s) for those who still have any money, that is.

Want to send a picture of you wearing the Goofy hat? I got mine for a dollar but it is not Santa and it was 'Slightly Used" . :lmao:

Linda, glad to hear that everything went well.... Now you have to stay at Pop close to my room again! I am looking forward to my Sept. trip.. :cool1:

MsDisney23, that would be wonderful. I owe a great big thank you as I was far too flustered to thank you properly.:lovestruc I wish we had met under other circumstances. The good news is that my leg is hurting now. My chest was hurting so much before that I did not notice the leg as much. :lmao: I am just waiting to see if this holds and then plan to start looking for a good deal on a trip next year, or two.

Now that I have dentures that replaced my buck teeth, do not have to wear glasses anymore thanks to the cataract surgery and have dropped even more pounds I hope you recognize me. I barely do. :rotfl:

Happy Holidays!! Chanukah starts tonight, I'll post a picture of my present.

Cheryl

Left Texas @5am Saturday and drove straight through to Pennsylvania, arriving @6am Sunday. Had precipitation from Tennesee-north...things got a little dicey when the temps started to drop :scared:
Glad to hear SlightlyGoofy's procedures went so smoothly!
Sounds like I might be the only Pop Tart who actually stays @Pop next fall :sad2:
Merry Christmas!
Happy Chanukah!
Keep warm! (its 8 degrees here! :cold:)

Glad you made it safely Kristineamb. So, what is everyone else doing for holidays?

I crawled out of my nice warm bed last night when I heard the weatherman tell just how cold it was outside. I usually turn one furnace down at night to save $$'s but figured that plumbing bills would be worse. I nearly froze walking a few feet from our house to the church to hear my grandson narrate (big mouths run in our family).:lmao:

Kristin, my geography skills are pretty bad but I am thinking that you do not go through Indiana on your way to or from PA. If I am wrong let me know and you can have a free place to rest your head on the way home. I live pretty near Interstate 65 or 74. I am glad you made it and it is probably a good thing that you drove. Lots of reports of cancellations etc. Have a Very Merry!!

Cheryl, Happy Chanukah! There is a great song on Youtube that might make you smile. It is not the Adam Sandler song but a new one this year. Hope you get lots of great presents!

Timmie, have your guests shuffled off back home to their wives?

I am bagging up goodies to deliver tomorrow and getting things ready for our Wednesday celebration today. Probably going to snow/ice tomorrow so I wil have an extra day to get ready. I am finding it so much easier to get things done. Now to get my strength all the way back after so much inactivity. Me thinks a long trip to DW would be good therapy. :cheer2:

Ang!!! I am sorry no new updates with my blog... but I am thankful for your visits.. it ups the count.. and maybe next time you would want to leave a comment so that way the comment would go up to not just the visits!!!

Hello everyone. I have not been reading again so have to catch up but I just read what is on this page.

Antss,
So you mean you can see when I visit your blog? Cool I am just going to pull up your blog and then close it out over and over again just to drive you crazy now, you know that don't you. lol You will think your blog has hick ups by the time I'm done. I promise to leave you a message during my day of a million visits.

Linda,
My cold water in the kitchen is frozen. It's darn cold out there. It was -37 with the wind chill. It reminds me of the days when I was younger and worked outside at the airport at night when it was over -50 below and I started crying because I was so miserable and my eyelashes freeze togther. lol

Cheryl,
Hope your enjoying your holidays.

Kristen,
Glad you are safe with your family.

Bonz,
I miss you girl. Enjoy your holidays.

Ang
