They need to do something for inbetween 3 and 4.*

But I did like the movie!

Cheryl, I am glad to hear you liked the movie. I seldom go to the movies anymore because most of them do not interest you and as expensive as they have gotten I do not want to waste my money. I do Netflix and highly reccomend it. Not just the movies you get through the mail but for the Instant ones that you can see on your computer make it a bargain. Now if I only had to time to watch them. :)

With the succes of Clone Wars, I wouldn't put it past them.

Guess the male bashing has stopped. :rotfl:

My DH has his good moments. Guess they all do.

Just had to take the dog to the vet. He is thirteen and has an ulcer on his eye, the good eye. Took him last week, $97. The follow-up visit was $57 today. Now they want him to go to an opthamologist (excuse the spelling) which should run at the least $100.:scared1: I know we will end up taking him but why does this have to happen around Christmas.

Well, guess I will go work on cleaning the floors some more. Just have to mop. Why did I want the big house?:headache:

Just stopping in to say hello to everyone today. I am so far behind so forgive me for not knowing what the heck is going on here. I do see we had a fun male bashing session I missed. lol I am staying out of it.

I love men. If I am at a party I am hanging out with the men. i love talking power tools and such. It is just one particular man who is getting me down. You would never believe what he did yesterday. I still do not. :confused3

Ang, Lucy downloaded her pics on a c/d and gave it to me yesterday and that is what I have been waiting for to finish your dvd. Did you ever get to see the one I gave you at DW? It played on all my machines.

jmskinner, loving things always has a price. Sad, but true. I am sorry that your poor pooch is sick but glad that he can be fixed and hopefully well for the Holidays. I have a big house and floors to mop today too. The main thing to remember is that when you redecorate always pick a dirt colored floor. It will save you so much stress and strain.:rotfl:

Washer coming Friday and they gave me back the money they overcharged me, tried to even give me a bit more. Honesty sure is inconvenient at times. :)

I printed out "Virginia, there is a Santa Claus" to read to the older kids this afternoon. I hope they like it as much as I do. I believe, I do, I do.

So, what did he do? Oh, I love men also, I was thinking I should have called that "Husband Bashing".

Oh, I know with pets comes financial responsibility. He is my baby. You will love this. The dog sleeps with us. Well, last night he couldn't get comfortable and kept moving around so DH got mad and went and slept on the couch. You see who the important one in the house is. I felt sorry for DH, but even if we tried to lock him up elsewhere, the dog cries really loudly and annoyingly, so not much choice. Actually, I am more upset about having to pay the vet an office visit twice in one week, which she is the one who requested he come back in a week.

Now you have me interested, I have never heard of "Virginia, there is a Santa Claus" so I will go check it out.

I have the repairment here to fix my ice despenser on my 5 month old fridge.:sad2: Oh, I hear it working now!

Hope everyone is having a good day.

jmskinner, it is not just loving pets but people and other stuff that hurts. It is the price we pay, financial or otherwise and financial is less painful. I get a kick out of folks who complain that DW would be perfect if there were not so many people there, excepting themselves. :lmao: I hope both your pooch and hubby get a good night's sleep. Even when our grandchildren were tiny they could kick the both of us out of our huge bed.

It is "Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus' should you want to do a search. One girl loved it so much I gave her the printout. I had a lovely group today, they behaved so well and we had a lovely time. At one point I had a dozen kids going ga ga over my books while I sat and watched. Two kids who used to come and I had not seen in awhile came by and we had a lovely visit. It was a lovely day.

SG, I found it. What a lovely response to that question? I have to ask, is this a storytime you do? Glad you had a nice day yesterday.

The rain is finally here. Those people at WDW today will get a good soaking, but their at WDW!

Ok, must force myself to get off my rear and do some housework. Hope everyone has a great day.

Jmskinner, I had to ponder your question a bit as to what it is that I do. I comfort the child who just learned her mother had been killed in an auto accident, I rock the child who is sick, listen to children tell me of their thoughts, read to them, listen to them read to me and just plain love them. I guess I am just grandma to the town's children. BTW, I ran into one of my former kids at WM today and did not recognize her until she told me her name. She used to be beautiful and now she is amazing and still just as sweet.

I am glad you liked that story. I also share bits that I have enjoyed here and there and try to make reading fun and interesting.

Let me be the first person to officially say "WINTER S*CKS"!!!! :headache:

I've been without power since Thursday night, man we got slammed here in Central Massachusetts!

Even though we're still in a state of emergency, my job, decided we needed to be here....we're a cable manufacturer, last time I looked, we weren't considered essential personnel as far as the state is concerned! The only upside is we actually have power here though.

My 45 minute commute turned into an hour and a half, due to downed lines, trees and detours....it looks like a bomb went off here!

Big thank you to all those states who sent tree services and power ultility guys here to help us!

Hope everyone is doing well....talk to everyone later!

(I know that probably doesn't mean much coming from somebody in Texas!)

Good afternoon everyone. Been busy and still reading the saga I started with 2 books to go so I have not been reading here sadly.

Wic,
So sorry to hear about the ice and snow. I saw it on the news and last year we had a similar thing happen here in IL so I know how awful it looks. Do you not have electric at home?

SG,
It is so sweet of you to get something together for William. Right now his head is stuck in the clouds over a new girl and I am about to pop his head if he doesn't get back to what is important. I am now finding love notes from the girl and the teacher is complaining that he is distracted because of it. His grades have plumeted in the last two weeks as well so he is grounded from all electronics. Maybe I need to look into all boys schools. I think there is a good miliary school down in Indiana near you some where too. lol

Talk to everyone later,
Angela

Hey Ang,

This was all ice, no snow at all! Just spoke to my husband, the power came on for a little over an hour this morning...now it's out again! :scared: They are now saying we'll be lucky if we have power by Christmas!

You sound like my Grandma that I lost several years ago. A very special woman.

Here is some pixiedust: for you and everyone else effected by these storms.

So sorry
(I know that probably doesn't mean much coming from somebody in Texas!)

You never know about the weather there in Texas. My mother and I went to San Antonio for Easter two years ago, and it didn't get icy in San Antonio, but about 15 minutes west on I10 was icy.

Hope everyone is doing well and stays safe!
Melissa

I don't want to sound like I am complaining but its actually quite chilly here today (40's) and we might get flurries overnight/earlymorning! We had frozen precipitation last week! :cold:

I have a weather display on my Google homepage. One of the cities I display is Canyon Lake, TX since that's where my BFF lives. Of course, Orlando, my Dad's town & where I currently reside are all there as well. TOday we have an unseasonably warm day... it was 70 degrees here, 72 in Tallahassee, 55 in my Dad's town in Alabama and 36 degrees in Canyon Lake! I kept looking back at it wondering, "What's going on here?"

Crazy stuff!! Heck, even now its 61 degrees here and 30 degrees where you are, Kristine!!

It is warm here. Suppose to be all week. Doesn't seem like Christmas at all. I'm having to get use to Christmas lights with Palm Trees.

But I had to tell you about something I thought was funny. I was in the normal traffic jam for DS's school, which we have to drive through a golf community to get to. Today at the first golf cart crossing, 3 went by, which is about normal. But at the next crossing, at least 10 golf carts went by. It was a double traffic jam.

Wic,
The ice makes it look like a whole other planet and really creepy. Be careful when you heat your house back up and do it really slowly so your pipes don't burst. We have been there and done that and it's not fun watching water flow from the upper level down through the living room.

Bonz,
What's ISP? Sounds like another alternative for DS. lol Now I know if we move to Indiana in the next couple year it will have to be near you with the military school there. I hate to say this but it is refreshing to hear that your DH is an administrator at and his kids are not perfect. I swear our school superintendant and principals children are mechanically altered children. The kids never get in trouble and are always winning all the scholarships and awards in school.

Ok all you people in warmer climates it is now 6 degrees here and it has consistantly been below zero except for one day over the weekend when it got up to 50 degrees. Now I will gladly send you some cold down your way if you'd like and you can send me some warm.

Ants,
Anytime you or anyone on this list gets stuck in an airport I have no problem getting a call and looking up whatever you need or just listening to the pain it must be to be stuck on a flight that cancels or is delayed. No thanks needed. I am just happy your finally home safe.

Ang
