Sept. 2009 @ WDW! Be a Pop Tart 2009~come share your(Bounce Back or NOT)Dates !!!

Rie,
My vote is for CRT dinner. We've done both. If you are going for entertainment and not food breakfast has princesses and dinner has the fairy godmother and the mice doing a bibidi bobidi boo routine that is cute but only the mice visited the tables breifly.

Linda,
No rocks flung from my end of the world. I am proud my dysfunction made me so functional. lol A little warped I admit but ready to deal with anything life throws at me without hiding from it. Hey I got to watch the Brady bunch. For anyone else who watched it remember "Mom always said don't play ball in the house." lol

You let us know how those doctor appointments go so we know you are getting better for next year.

I will show Will your birthday wishes after school today. He still talks about all his new Disney friends.

Ants, I do not see how you keep so slim and trim with all the great food you eat and cook.

SG

Miss Linda I wish that is the case.. my docotor is till have not stopped badgerring me for me being obese... and so I had to fire him and go to another doctor... well the second doctor still says the same thing... :rotfl:

Timmy,
I woke up at 6 and then went back to sleep at 8pm after getting Will on the bus. Then I was back up at 10:30 to get my cleaning and office work done. I am hoping I will be tired enough tonight to actually get to bed before 11pm. Does this mean that I can blame you for my tooth too? I think we need to not move our mouths so much so we don't loose our fillings anymore. lol

Well I am off to pick up Will. I hope everyone is having a great day?

Ang

Kristin, growing up in a normal home must be nice. That is why you are so much saner than Ang and I. (ducking from the big rock that Ang just slung my way) :rotfl:
Ang, my home life was not as bad as yours. My father once took his gun down to someone's home and threatened to kill them because they were messing with me. My parents loved me, in their own warped way, I think. :confused3 It was just difficult growing up with "Leave it to Beaver", "Donna Reed" etc. and my home did not look a thing like them. BTW, my ds told me he loved me daily and did many kind things for and with me right up until the day he plunged the knife into my heart. Will is too open and caring to ever do so though. Happy Birthday pal! I miss you. I am still expecting to see you pop up beside me even now.

I used to wish for some drama in my family growing up...thought they were too normal, boring...now I am grateful

Subbed today...just when I start thinking I might want to go back and teach full time I sub a class like I did today :sad2:
Its sad that a couple of bad eggs can ruin a whole omelet :(

Hey Timmy, I just checked out your pix on the other thread. Looks like you had fun!! Didn't you love Yehaaw Bob at Port Orleans?! Did you buy the Olympus? That's what I have and I love it. Of course, I got the pink one.:lovestruc

Started planning for my April 2009 trip today. It's 180 days til the first day of my reservation. When I spke to a CM I was told part of the system was being worked on so I wouldn't be able to make dining reservations until November 21st.... except for CRT & Chef Mickey's. So I made breakfast reservations at CRT & Chef Mickeys. I am considering switching the CRT to a dinne though. What do you guys think?

I've been to both and enjoyed both...probably breakfast more because of the variety of characters present, arriving at the park before anyone else and I like breakfast food (mmm French Toast!) :lovestruc
Like dinner too but would have liked more interaction with Fairy Godmother (does anyone else think she looks like Paula Deen?!?!?) and the mice.
Just wondering why some prefer dinner over breakfast?

Kristin,
Liked the food for dinner better but the last time we were at breakfast was 05and there was no french toast then. I do like being in the park before opening but now that DS hit the teens he is resistant to waking that early. The other reason is DS does not want the princesses kissing and fauning over him any more. I know he secretly loves it but at his age he has to act like a butthead to show he doesn't like it.

Also, I used to sub teachers aid at an LD/BD school. I found the key is to not take the bad eggs personally and they get no satisfaction from their behavior. I had some of the worst eggs end up loving me and behaving anytime I was there just because they knew I didn't get upset by their stupidity and still saw them as good eggs. Kind of like they had to live up to the image. Sadly, there are those that are just bad eggs once in a while and nothing helps but sending them to the principal or in school suspension room. Again, they are their issues not personal assults on you as a person. You can't let all the good eggs lose out on learning because of those few who love to interupt and be the center of attention. Just keep remembering you are there for those who want to learn and they deserve good sub teachers.

Thanks for the pep talk...I try not to take it personally but it upsets me that other students suffer because of one or two...:teacher:

There is always that one that wants to learn and will find a round about way to get back at the kids who interupts or at least tells them what a jerk they were later on. Peer pressure. lol

Was it middle school you subbed for by chance. I always felt that 6th and 7th graders are the hardest on the teacher and everyone else around them. I figured their hormones are so out of wack they don't know who they are themselves and are not sure they like who they have become so how could they like anything or anyone else.

Glad I'm not that age anymore and thank goodness William seems to be coming out of that now that he is in 8th grade. Those are the years you are afraid of who your child is becoming. So far this year is better and I think he is finally content with himself and the changes he went through. The other kids also seem to be more excepting of others as well. I hope I haven't spoken too soon. lol

I bet your an awsome teacher.

It was fourth grade. I taught high school English when I taught full time. And I worked in day care years ago so I've been with every age range over the years...I would agree with you that 7th-9th are tough years...I found that by the time they are junior or seniors they have calmed down and just want to do whatever they need to do to get outta there!

My DS is 10 1/2...any words of wisdom to help us get through the next couple of years would be appreciated! :worship:
I bet your an awsome teacher.
:thanks:

Wisdom it is more like hold on to your hat your in for a wild ride. lol Maybe you will be lucky and your child will make mature decisions and think for himself. I am just winging it really. lol

How was subbing? What grade did you get?

How did I get the blame for your root canal? I must say I don't feel so all alone now that I know someone else needs a root canal too. My dentist is on vacation next week and I had an infection in before my last appointment so it will be a while before we move on with mine.

Cranes. Why do cranes want to be in Indiana when it's been cold out? :confused3 I think they flew in the wrong direction or something. Oh yeah, isn't it great when our kids know things we don't. Gives them fuel when they think they know more but don't. :lmao:

Miss ya,
Ang
