His son stopped by that morning knock at my door and when I open the door.. I said "I am so sorry" he was suprised I know.. told him if I am correct.. your dad passed away around 2AM.... he did.. he passed away at 2:30AM:confused:

Timmy, all kidding aside - that is quite a remarkable gift.

I think so too it kinda make my alone time at work.. hmmm not to alone... So far I have not been scared... I thouhgth it was a natural thign when I was growing up... my mom have a better gift... me.. thats all the tricks I can do... yell at them when they get confused ... "are you staying in your body or not ... because if not do it fast... am tired of doing all this blood processing in the lab" :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I get the giggles reading all these posts from you funny ladies. :rotfl:

Minnie, hang in there. I am fairly certain that those low prices will be available next year IF any of has any money left. :scared1:

Ants, you talk to anyone so why should be surprised that you talk to dead people? :lmao:

Thanks for all the kind thoughts about my troubled young friend. It is far more complex than I thought. I am hoping I am wrong in who the culprit is as it would make things far worse. Prayer is his only hope.

Someone dumped some school books in my alley this weekend. I cleaned them up as best I could. In hunting for an owner's name I came across some papers so I corrected them and helped with the owner's homework assignment on "Our Town".:dance3:

My youngest grandson is walking the mile from the school to here as I type. He just finished a three mile run, ahhh youth!

Big weight gain tomorrow. Only ate a few crackers (off program). I would have had to have eaten over 17,000 extra calories in order to gain this much. Think Tom must be force feedingme when I am asleep I do. :confused3

I am afraid it was not so very big. The flyover by the AF was canceled for budget reasons and not all the spaces were rented out, as usual. I did not go downtown except to see my boy run his race. They won the big trophy. :cool1:

Our porch and front yard was full of people watching the parade. I am guessing that the poor economy got a lot of folks to attend as it was mostly free and there was an awful lot of reasonably priced food to be had. Not sure how much other stuff was bought though.

All in all it was a bucolic day though. Small town America at its best.

Our town was also celebrating this weekend ( http://schertzfest.net/ )did not participate (although Diva Sheryll were briefly on the planning committee we humbly excused ourselves after one too many differences of opinion with others on the committee :headache: ) the city was charging $15 a head to get in (children under 12 free) and then you still had to pay OP for any food and beverages and carnival rides (see where our difference of opinion came in...this should not have been a way for the city to make $...which I doubt they did because from what I can tell there wasn't much of a turn out...according to the local paper the city ended up spending $150,000...the last amount I saw before I left was $50,000! Just think how many books that would've bought for the community library  ) Sorry I'll get down off my soapbox now :mic:

You are preaching to the choir here. Far too much style over substance to my way of thinking. Is what has us in our current mess too. :scared1:

Books last forever and besides how many families could afford to have attended that celebration? Did you guys go?

I hate committees. Folks around here know to tell me what they want done and get out of my way. Fail or succeed I prefer to trust myself to others. Control freak, me?

We did not...not for lack of funds but had no interest in the performers, etc...besides I was personally boycotting the whole event

I think that was my first and last experience in the political realm (although I was on student govt in college...) too frustrating :headache:
DH says I should have been stronger and stood up to the city cronnies...I say he should get involved next time!

I almost went back and edited that one comment as I realized, at the last minute, that it sounded like I doubted your finances. I know better. Was just lazy. :)

People with common sense fail to step up and that is how we got in this mess. Please do cause a bit of trouble. History was never made by well behaved women ya know! I am counting on you.

I am fighting our school board who wants to build a multi million dollar school in our small town, most of the funds to go to the athletic department. I am fighting for books. You knew that. :teacher:

Hair washed and I am about ready to go take my rat poison and head to bed. I read in bed before sleeping, for hours. Hubby can sleep with the lights on. Good hubby.

NO worries...didn't take it that way...besides if we were hurting I would not have just gotten back from Disney and wouldn't be planning my return!

I know, I know...it was a sticky situation to say the least...Diva Missy's DH is on city council and appointed Diva Sheryll and I to the committee I thought because we can plan a party...but we were really just there to be his yes men (ladies) so he could push his agenda through :headache:

Take care, good night, sleep tight...

SG,
When our high school wanted tax payer dollars to build a new high school saying there was not enough room for athletic fields or parking for games. It was voted down by the town by a landslide vote. They made sure that they found a way to blame the ADA saying it was not up to standards for handicap students. They then hired someone to inflate numbers on how much it would cost to get it up to standards. It was a bunch of smoke and mirrors. They got their new school and the majority of the money went into all the different athletic fields, and field houses for athletes, lights for night games (thay put up the first set of lights 3 years ago cut them down and put up new ones this year). I learned that if a town wants something they will find a way to spend my money on it like it or not. You would not believe what the football team can get away with and have adults try to hide for them here in our small town either.

How was everybody'sonday ? Mine was very long !!! but I survived!!! 1 down 11 days to go Whew!!!

Well tonight was a good night at work... no code Blue no code pink.. NOTHING!!!! nobody was walking the hall ways but myself... it was quiet for a change!!! :goodvibes And they let me watch Dancing with the Stars with no interruption.. so life is good...

Speaking of talking to anyone... I think this coming December... I will slow down with meets... usually April is my slow vegitative almost no park days vacaion... I had to much fun the last time I was with you guys that I think I will just go and be mellow...

So far I am only doing the 6th with old dis friends from Pa and the Margarita meet also with people I have meet already...

Since this will be my 1st Dec. trip in 10 years.. I think I would just really take in the beauty of all the decorations.... and yes... I am taking Fred aka Bert and the big camera... Ernie still does not have a camera yet since I have not gone and bought a new point and shoot camera and also The Count aka video camera is coming along this trip :goodvibes

Ok enough chit chat.... time to go get my beauty rest...

Have a wonderful Tuesday!!!! :wizard:

Timmie, I agree that late Nov/early Dec is the best time to go to DW. With the cooler weather I might be able to enjoy it too. As much as I would love to go it is probably for the best that it is not to be, this year. I will count on you and live vicariously thru you. :)

Ang, I hear you. We do not have athletes gone wild here, very nice bunch of young men as far as I have seen all these years. In fact keeping them busy with sports has probably been the main reason for them not getting in trouble. Many of them even rank in the top of their class so I am not totally against sports facilities, just want some balance. My youngest grandson fits that category as well. The kids left to wander the streets with no supervision would be well served by being in some sort of program. They will do what they will do but with the economy I do worry about how we are going to pay for it all.:confused3

Diva K, you done forgot to warn the bedbugs off. Do you know why they say "Sleep tight"? I do and would not be surprised if you do too. ;) Diva Missy's husband sure did not know you well did he? :rotfl: Since we are so similar I know that you are fiscally responsible. It is Tuesday. I hope I survive it. I am sure I will get to call the heart monitoring company a few times today. I am getting to be on a first name basis with a couple of the operators. It is a good thing though. :dance3: I am looking for an Ansel Adams type picture for my bedroom. I can envision it and only that will do. I know what I like. My house is nothing like me, more like what I would like to be and cannot attain. Perfection. :lmao:

Have a great day gals! SG

Timmy, I'm so glad you're going back in December after such a long (December) hiatus. If I must do only one trip in a yr it would probably be in December. It's so pretty and even more enchanting than usual.

Went to Mousefest for 3 years, but it is such a busy time, with so many fun Meets, I wasn't seeing/enjoying any of the special goings on at the parks. After 3 December visits, still have not seen one World Showcase Santa!

I hope your December trip is the most magical ever!pixiedust:

:tinker: Happy Tuesday, my friends!!

I have DH to thank for that...he is the conservative, responsible one...if it was up to me, we'd be bankrupt but well dressed and happily living @Disney! :cutie:

How could I forget!!

Anyone attending Mousefest this year? I'm back to being tempted. ;)

I am going to be ther e in December the same time as mousefest but after a dark cloud passed by yesterday... I closed my planning book and cancel all meet with new disers  I am only meeting the Peeps from Pa and that's it.

And thinking of F&W ... last year the part of the Tribe made it to a Feast.... not realizing that we were headed to disaster... and a year later... I am now but a Unit... and for the 1st time did not go celebrate the Festival of senses.

Also today is my dad's 100 days of passing ... so I am a bit :confused3 on the feeling mode...
