Hello....

I'm doing much better today, I gave myself all of yesterday to mourn the loss of my job...but that was yesterday, and today is the beginning of the next chapter in my professional career. The only problem is, I have no idea what I want my next career to be?

Shawn wants me to pay off my car with some of my 401K money, that way I'd be basically debt free....I'm considering it, I've still got plenty of time to recoupe the money.

So I updated my resume today, wow...it hadn't been touched in 12 years, it was scary! I have to go to a training seminar next Wednesday and Thursday, guess they are going to show us how to update our resumes, and give us interviewing tips!

I told my daughter I was going to become a lunch lady at her school....that didn't go over very well at all!

Phoenix is a wonderful place and #1 on my places I want to live list. I had family who lived there at one time and loved to go visit there. I want heat almost all year long and no grass to mow. I want little gecko's climbing the walls of my adobe and little misters on my back porch. lol It's definitely a different way of life in the desert.

well I made ribs stew with Okra and spinach.... that was the deal I would eat like crazy while mom is here.. after loosing all the surgery wieght I gained it back.. now I have till October till I go crazy again...

Hey, a little extra weight keeps us safe in case we become terribly sick...so think of those few extra lbs as insurance.

Man, we all have so many similar interests and thoughts. I am always taken by that fact.

House Hunters is great but do you not love when someone looks at a house to buy and does not want it because of a paint color? No imagination, some folks.

M&N, Phoenix is lovely, just in a different way. I have seen pictures and since it is one of the top places to retire/live it must have many redeeming qualities. Not sure about bus service though as I have the impression of a large, sprawling city but I could be wrong. Lots of retirees would need bus service. Yeah for being closer to DL but shucks on not being likely to run into you at DW. (How about Minnie Haha?)

Did I not see that FB was having problems with a worm? It was on the nightly news the other day. I am having visions of being overcome, in the dark, by a group of black and white vested women with rulers in their hands.

WIC, whatever you do, do NOT take money out of your 401K to pay off your car. Folks do not realize that it is not only the 10% penalty for taking it out before you are 59 1/2 but you have to pay taxes on it as income in the year you withdraw it so the $10K you take out could cost you 40% or more in penalties and taxes. If a person is worried about their fund losing more value you might roll it over into an IRA of c/d's I think.

Ang, maybe some books on sharks and such might get Will better used to the idea? The more you know the less you fear. BTW, I am never going to eat anything you cook.

Timmie, I have never liked Mountain Dew because of the fact that it resembles urine but it is intriguing to wonder what effects drinking it sans dentures might be.

Diva K, the crockpot is one of the world's best inventions. It is a great way to use up all those odds and ends of stuff you have laying around and sometimes it comes out tasting pretty good. Healthy too, unless you put chocolate in there. Wish you could though.

Great news, I am spending the day with my daughter Saturday. Now if I can keep my mouth shut so I do not embarrass or upset her. She does not get my sense of humor. She does not know me well enough. We are going to see Slumdog Millionaire. It is a miracle and day with her and we both want to see the same movie!

I'm going to do some more research on the creepy crawlies in Phoenix...just in case. OR he cold apply for an at home client services manager position (with the possibility of director in the future and we could move anywhere..like somewhere really pretty and very walkable....Charleston? )

Phoenix would only happen with an offer too good to refuse. Dsil's mother is seriously ill. It's an easy 8 hour drive to see her twice a yr and only a 90 min flight, so dsil goes about every 3 mos. Not so from Phoenix, so not anyone's first choice.

Nevertheless, I like to think there is a silver lining to every life challenge.

what I was suggesting was to just do it all over again... since not well verse with FB I would take the easy way in and out... wish we can do that with life too.. it is an easy way in.. but ohhhhhhhh boy a hard way out

I before Mt. Dew I was addicted to mello yello thats what we had at the camp where dad works.. and we get it for recess if you dont want milk or chocolate milk then it is mello yello.. who would want to eat a thing of onion or tomato with milk or chocomilk??? Def'ly mello yello!!!!

I am excited with this crock pot thing... I will get it Monday from my co worker and if I really really like it then I might buy a new bigger one not that I need anything more than 4 cups ....
