Sept. 2009 @ WDW! Be a Pop Tart 2009~come share your(Bounce Back or NOT)Dates !!!

Diva K, you need a lesson in Divahood. If you truly want to get rid of these workers I suggest that you order in a very aromatic meal tomorrow and sit in front of the TV, with some big sports game on (muted so they cannot hear the scores) and slowly eat your meal. Having a nice cold beer with it might be good too. You will frustrate them so much that they will finish up so they can go home and do the same. Of course you do run the risk of them not doing the job quite as well as they might. It is up to you, your choice.
SG

SG,
Kristin,
SG is right order a nice meal and eat it right in front of them tomorrow with the TV on. Then again maybe it would be better to turn up the soap opera channel really high and it will drive them from the house. You are paying them enough to order their own lunch if they want it anyway. lol
Ang

Thanks for your advice...hopfully just one more day of seclusion for me...DH will be home tomorrow night and he can babysit them on Friday...I have plans to spend the day with Diva Mary! Lunch, shopping...:cloud9:

home, fat & tired:scared1: :sad2: boys look so wonderful:grouphug: Hopefully I won't be singing a different song by tomorrow. Didn't see anyone I know in the parks. Be back tomorrow, missed you all:cutie:

Bonz. you might not have run into someone you already knew but surely you met some new folks??? Were the parks as empty as I have seen reported? Trip report??? Huh, huh??;)

Ang, I ain't a kidding. If it were up to me I would walk right in there and order that darned bacon.(hot splatters and all) I want to see how they handle that. I love the old joke about the working gal who promises to do 'anything' for a hundred dollar bill and the man says "Paint my house". I would then sit those young gals down and explain the facts of life and gravity and implore them to find another vocation. It is the mother in me. I am sure you would concur. :cool1:

Diva K, it is my contention that a man cannot 'babysit' for the children he helped to create. it is called quality time. I never had the luxury as I would not have had living children if I had done so. (not kidding) Maybe a change in scenery (from female to male) might encourage your resident aliens from hanging around longer than necessary?

Cheryl, I am sorry that you are having to move, if you like your present situation. Maybe you will like the new one even better and it will be worth the effort. Make sure that the apartments are not on the edge of foreclosure before moving. You might check the tax rolls. It is scary out there.

Timmie, I have faith in your ability to do any darned thing you set your mind to. I do not know how the fat clings to someone who moves as much as you do any old way. :cool2:

SG/who is going to bed and watch a polygamist marriage murder mystery. Bet the wife(s) did it.

sorry I have not posted. I am moving in Jan. Long story shortis landlord is going to let the house I am renting forclose. I found a 3 bed 2 bath apartment nearby.

Yikes Cheryl  !!! Will I still see you and DH for breakfast on the 11th ????:wizard:

Hope everyone is doing well and going to have a Great Turkey Day!! Talk to you soon.

Nancy, I am so jealous of you folks who can bounce off for a few days now and then. Many envy my very long trips but I would prefer frequent smaller ones really. Sounds as if you had a delightful time and I am sure you have your next trip in the pipeline. :worship:

Timmie, caffeine, yep that might be PART of it. I drink low octane iced tea so that is why I am so laid back and quiet.

About to leave for the day. Got up early to get some of the household chores done first. Two doctor's appointments today. Joy, oh joy. No needles involved today though.:thumbsup2

Have a great day all and enjoy the sunshine while you may. Snow is a coming!

I got chills when I saw that it was snowing in Pittsburgh (home) during the Steeler game on Sunday! :cold:

No we're moving about 3 blocks away, I wish I could move closer but hubby works in Lake mary and I4 traffic can be brutal so I wanted to stay in the same area for now.

Glad you had a great time. But your Turkey Day comment reminds me....

What do you all have planned? Will you be traveling or staying home? If you're staying home, does family come over?

My older sister and her husband fly up on Wednesday later afternoon & leave Friday night. It's a short visit, but it's better than nothing. I'll be cooking a full dinner, but my sister keeps begging me to just buy a Honeybaked Ham to save time. Personally, I think the turkey would take less prep time than driving to the Honeybaked Ham store in Viriginia Beach and waiting in that long line that wraps around inside & backs up out the doors!

Our menu
Turkey (brined in brown sugar, placed in a roasting bag with an apple & onion in carcass)
mashed potatoes & gravy
corn
green beans
sweet potato casserole
carrots
rolls

dessert: coconut custard pie & pumpkin pie

We will be at home. Diva Mary and her family are coming over for dinner (and maybe a couple of painters! :headache: )
On the menu:
Turkey (I just make two breasts since no one eats the dark meat)
stuffing
mashed potatoes & gravy
corn casserole
sweet potato casserole
green bean casserole
mushroom supreme
cranberry sauce
rolls
pumpkin pie (I need something else for dessert?)

Wait, they're coming over for painters or the painters will be there for dinner? You could always pack the painters INTO little to go boxes and Mary would take them with her. That's one way to get them out of the house.

mushroom supreme
cranberry sauce

pumpkin pie (I need something else for dessert?)

What is mushroom supreme? It sound yummy & horrible at the same time!! Yes, you need more than just a pumpkin pie! Thanks for the reminder, we're having cornbread dressing AND cranberry sauce!!

Yes, white zinfandel:rolleyes1

We are going to Pittsburgh for Christmas! :santa:

Its really good! Heres the recipe (I usually double this)
1# whole mushrooms
2 beef bouillon cubes
1/2 cup hot water
1/2 stick butter
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 cream
1/8 tsp. salt
dash pepper
1/2 bread crumbs
1/2 parmesan cheese

Saute mushrooms in butter. Dissolve beef cubes in water.
Melt 1/2 stick butter and blend with flour.
Add cream, salt, pepper and beef broth.
Top with cheese and bread crumb mixture before baking.
Bake in buttered casserole for 30 minutes at 350.

God willing they will be outta here Saturday afternoon...then I won't have to set a place for them on Thanksgiving :worship:

What about Cosmos...they have cranberry juice in them...that would be festive! :drinking1
