Bonz, and all. I am for real. The ONLY things that stop me at all are the fact that I would be taking Tom away from his brother. Not that they see each other a lot but it is some and it means a lot to the both of them. AND, whether or not we could sell our house in the present financial crunch. Folks just are not used to saving up for a down payment anymore. The trip in April is just to see if it is even possible as it would have to be a place where Tom would be able to walk to a few places on his own as he does here. Otherwise there would be no reason if I would still have to be at his beck and call 24/7. The place I want is on a lake and I could walk around the lake, look in the window and see if he is still sitting or has fallen over and then continue walking or go in and pick him up. If he would walk too he would not be as prone to falling over. He loves his life. I just wanna life.

Ang, I never stopped teaching. The only teaching I have ever done has been volunteer. Woman who earn a paycheck are entirely too independent according to dh. Teachers need to give respect if they want it from the kids. The truth is that most of them have far too many pupils in their classes to be able to give them individual attention. I am so sorry to hear that your poor dog is suffering. If I was suffering like that I would want to have an end to it and in a loving way. Suffering is alright if, at the end, there is a quality of life.
Melissa, I do not like pulling kids out of class for special attention as it causes hard feelings sometimes. I think that kids can learn much from others special needs and those with the needs learn much from the other students with other disabilities. We all have them, some show, some do not. It helps to see things from another's point of view. Kids so want to be just like everyone else and anything that sets them apart, good or bad, is embarrassing to them.
Bonz, you have pictures of your house and I have not seen them? I love looking at houses, especially before and after. Hint, hint.
Cheryl, you poor dear, what a problem. May ALL yours be so wonderful!
Christine, what Ang said!!!!! You best make it up when you get back. Lots of details. Pretty please?
Headed to the CC. Have a new bag of tricks I call the Discovery bag. I have lots of learning tools that they think are toys. The kids that are not listening to me read go to the back wall and I glance over and see them getting so excited over the items and I love it. I have two coming in afterward to learn how to tie their shoes. One boy 'knows' how so I cannot teach him. He almost has it but as long as he is bound and determined that he 'knows' I cannot help him. He is my student with the most needs. Love him though he sure do try to make it difficult. I have bruises on my legs to prove it. lol
