SEPT 2009 code watch

Some of you may find this useful, so I thought I would share how I put a moment of OCD to use. Using the handy list at the beginning of the thread, I tallied the dates that everyone is planning to vacation.

The number of people who plan to vacation at Disney per day of September are (1 tally per vacation day per person):

Date # of vacationers planning to be in DW
1 14
2 13
3 16
4 17
5 23
6 23
7 24
8 26
9 23
10 25
11 26
12 42
13 40
14 41
15 39
16 39
17 42
18 48
19 67
20 65
21 60
22 66
23 65
24 70
25 68
26 68
27 49
28 37
29 33
30 31

Obviously, the 19-26th seems to be the most popular for DISers. Is this b/c of the F&WF?

LOL! I was gonna do something like that myself to see when everyone was going. Beat me to it.:rotfl:

We are planning for late Sept for a few reasons... the hubs birthday is on the 25th (YAY gift card!), we want to do MNSSHP, waiting on disney to announce FD already **twiddles thumbs**, and we want to go to F&WF. PLUS it's not AS sweltering the later in the month you go. I hope I can time all this just right. :woohoo:

Is it true that you can only get codes if you have been to Disney World before? What if we currently have a trip booked?
If a general public code comes out, it won't matter whether or not you've been before, or whether you have a trip booked, or not.

You can just use the code, either way.

True enough, but each resort will only have so many rooms alloted for the code. We are all waiting for FD, each resort will only have so many rooms set aside for that and when there all gone you will have to move to a different resort. That happened to us the last time we went, we got booted out of Pop Century and had to move to All-Star Sports if we wanted the FD. So changing or getting your request in early will help you get the plan at the resort you want.

Hi
Thanks for adding me to the list for arrival on 14th august departing on 10th September but my username is down incorrectly. It should read PrstnKaren. Could you please alter this for me.

Many thanks

Fixed:goodvibes Sorry about the typo.

If I made mistakes on anyone else's names please let me know and I'll fix it.

Thanks for doing this. I've been wondering the same thing and haven't had time to sit down and count. Thanks for feeding my Disney Obsession:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Alright everyone is updated again. We now have 200 people on our list:scared1: . We are getting to be a really big group.

I've been going crazy the last couple weeks waiting and hoping for the free dining announcement. We are getting close to April. I'm driving my poor DH batty with checking the websites 3 time a day.

Thank you for changing my dates. I guess the Food and Wine does bring them in. Good luck on the free dining. I recall it came out last year on April 11th? I booked it then and did the bounceback while I was there for this year.

Was it really the 11th? <sigh> that is sooo far away.

I checked my old e-mails, that I saved, and it was April 10th .(I was a day off)

I found this post about last year's offer:

Posts: 6 HELP Free dining - Pop & Movies not available

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I wanted to book Free Dining for Pop on Sept 12-15. Now that it's open to the public it's not available at Pop or ASMo. Does anyone know if history says it will open up in a few days? Please help me!!! I really wanted to stay at Pop. I even got a Disney Visa card just for free dining. I had a temp hold for yesterday but didn't get the names of my kids to the TA until this morning and now it's not available. Does anyone have any ideas or tips for me??

I remember it being the 10th too. I know this because we were actually at WDW for our Spring Break trip and I had been watching the boards. I knew the release date and we booked online for WL with no problem.

Please add me to the list, as I am going 9/26-10/3.

As for the people who got pin codes in the mail for free dining, is it only counter service or does it vary depending on the resort you stay at?

I didn't get one but I believe it's for the Normal dining plan... 1TS, 1 CS, 1 snack a day
