SEPT 2009 code watch

:welcome: to the Dis Jen105. I have added your name and dates to our thread on page 1. The Poly is beautiful and it is a dream of mine to stay there someday.

Hi all! Did you see that mousesavers is reporting a HUGE announcement soon for the first half of the year, I realize that will not be for us but some interesting insight as to what Disney might offer to us September folks.

I saw the posting and am very curious to see what it is. Unfortunately I will be at work until 7pm PST so it will be a long day at work.

mousesavers has a note up and states the announcement as follows:

If you're planning a trip to Walt Disney World in the first half of 2009, watch this space for a HUGE deal! I expect this exciting new offer will be released at 5:00 pm Eastern on Thursday, November 6.

Hi! I'm pretty new here, but wanted to join in. I just booked for 9/20/09-9/28/09 at the Poly and I am so excited! It will be my 3yo daughters first trip and my first time staying on site. These boards and all ya'll are a great help!

We are hoping to be at the The poly the same days you are, we stayed there when my son turned 1 and it was wonderful, any questions let me know!

Just joining the list of disers waiting for the September codes. Hopefully, Diseny will have an offer for the last 6 months of the year.

Well there it is, 4night -3 free w/ $200 gift card, I think that works out to %40 off, not to shabby I guess but last trip I had %40 the entire stay and we want to do 10 dys this year. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Morning all, any thoughts on this new discount disney offered? I know it is not for our time , but it could be extented I am sure. My guess is that they will leave this promotion in place and add free dining, 4-3 is a better deal for the more expensive resorts and FD is a better deal for the values, (I think ,that is what I have been reading)this way disney will cover all bases for fall, just a theory.

I'm hoping (bad me) that the inconvenience of this package, and the lack of discount on dining will cause a lower than expected response to this sale, and that WDW to offer free dining in the fall. Maybe WITH a slight room discount? [A girl can dream! LOL]

We could have gone in April, but we want the dining plan and it would have been more expensive to go that route than to get free dining, and that's figuring in that we need another room in the fall due to the baby being three, and would have to upgrade another one of our kids to adult.

So still hanging out here with the Sept. people. And hoping for free dining. :wizard:

I think that fd will be offered for sure, they have such a good response why mess with what has been working for them, I think that they need to add a room discount also! When I did the %40 off they would not let me combine with FD, that would have rocked!!

I agree! Honestly, the only reason I go in HOT September is to get free dining.
I told my dh, then it's cheaper to eat at WDW than at home!
We're able to apply our grocery budget to our travel costs.
(You see how I can sell it? :rotfl: )

People always say free dining is not a good deal, because you pay rack rate for your room.
But getting free dining saves us approx. $82 dollars per day, per room,
so we'd have to get our value season value resort room for free to match that. Not happening!
Not to mention, the out of pocket food would cost something anyway, so gettting our food for free, AND getting to try out the sit-downs has really got us spoiled!

So all that to say, COME ON FREE DINING! In '07 the sale was released around April 10. (Not sure about this year.) So I'm expecting it to break around April 13 (day after Easter.)

It'll be fun hanging out with you all until then. :goodvibes

I was hoping to squeeze in a short solo trip in the spring, then still do our trip together in late fall. Unfortunately I didn't want to do an entire week, just about 3 nights. So this code doesn't help.

I guess disney is just try to get everyone to stay(spend$$$) longer on propety, I guess they will see what the response is to this offer and base fall offers around it.

rie4630 I added your name to our list please let me know when you have your dates set and I will update the list.

So do all ya'll experienced Dissers think we'll get an offer as good as the 4/3 in September? This would haved saved me over 1k on our trip and I was seriously tempted to reschedule, but I already have a January cruise booked.

Free dining and 40% off that would rock for sure! We can hope right?:confused3

Well, we'll have to be taken off the Sept list. With this great deal, we've decided to go in March instead. Even though it'll be more crowded, my DD won't have to be taken out of school. BUT...if another great deal comes out in Sept we may go both times.:yay:

Don't blame you.
I considered JUNE...right when my dd gets out of school, but the free dining (hopefully) would be a better deal for us and the AP.
Have a great time.

Thanks Amy,
I'm really hoping for a really good fall discount too. Maybe I can justify another trip to my DH!

I noticed that the Bounceback offer for 2009 was for the "regular" free dining regardless of which resort you booked.

I see that the free dining offer for UK residents states that if you book a moderate resort you will get the Quick service dining plan free, and if you book a deluxe resort you will get the "Regular" dining plan free.

I wonder if that will be the same offer they make to the general public, if in fact they do offer it to the general public?

Any thoughts?
