Sept 2007 My Affair w/Mickey -- Complete!

So, now that we are not pregnant...this may change our plans for WDW next year...

Here are our two choices...which do you think would be better? We are now leaning toward #1:

1) Go to WDW in early May at potentially 6 months pregnant (or less) and DD is still free for dining and tickets. Flower and Garden Show, weather may be less warm than September but more crowds. We may be able to overlap times when my parents will be there again.

OR

2) Go to WDW in early September with potentially a 2 month old and we now have to pay for DD's food and ticket. However, there won't be as many people..weather is warm. Great specials on airfare and rental cars. Little Ones Magic Hour. (Free dining isn't an option for DVC).

I think the hours are generally the same in both seasons and I don't think we would be doing MNSSHP.

I vote for #1, May, possibly six months pregnant!

And here are some of the comments we got from my Disney Message Board --I took the cards with comments in the room each day, esp the ones with the pins on them. As you can see, most of the comments were nice...I had to change GAY to G'Day and the explicit body part to look like Pluto in a baseball cap

Today is Friday, September 21st.

Chapter 9 - Princess, Pooh and Narcoosee

We are up super early today -- at 6:05am and get to MK by 7:45am. Whoo Hoo!! I've never made it this early to MK before. We actually have to wait in line for it to open, so we get sprinkled with Pixie Dust (Mickey shaped confetti) and off we go!

I ask DH to take some pics of DD in her princess dress in front of the castle. Unfortunately, most of the shots need to be cropped in closer since DH didn't zoom in :headache: and I don't have the software to make those changes. But here are a few cute shots.

Then off we go to Fantasyland for LOMH. DD loved riding Dumbo

I made DH ride Dumbo in the car in front of us so we could get active shots

Then off to ride Pooh (yet again), two times on Jungle Cruise, Tiki Birds, Aladdin's carpets and a break for a Citrus Swirl ... however, the machine wasn't working so I got a slush instead -- just not the same.

Cute signs from JC:

Then we explored the shops in Adventureland and I saw a trivia question about the bird's name in Aladdin. Well, since we just went to Tiki Birds, I knew the answer and received a "Magical Moments" certificate with my name on it!

We don't even see the Dream Team today -- not sure where they were.

So then we head over to Tomorrowland to Monster Laugh Factory. This is cute and DH is picked to be the monster who vanishes...I forget his name right now (Ralph? Vern?), but it was cute...when DD saw DH on the movie screen, she goes "Daddy!". The line for Buzz isn't long, so we say, let's quick go on Buzz and then take a potty break.

Well, we are in the queue, just in front of the Big Buzz Lightyear when, "PHEW!!!" What is that smell???

As we grudgingly go to check DD's diaper, yep, it's nearly a full blow-out...you know/remember the kind that creeps up the back and out the sides...well, we figure we have just enough time to get to the restroom, but, yes, there is a but, I don't want to have to wait in line for Buzz again.

So, figuring how WDW is so great on customer service, I tell the CM that our DD had a blow-out and can we take the chicken exit and get a pass to come right back on the ride. Well, I guess I should have known better -- the CM was male, young and clearly has no clue about toddlers and diapers. He flat out said no, that if we get out of line, we have to go back in the regular line and wait all over again -- no FP offer.

So at this point, we are light-headed from the smell, but right in front of the moving walkway, so I got angry and said, "fine, then I'm not responsible for getting c-rap all over your ride" and walk onto the vehicle.

The CM didn't care. Fortunately, we left nothing behind, but that really ticked me off. Now before you flame me and ask "was Buzz really worth it?", let me say, that due to the methane fumes, I was not thinking clearly :rotfl2:

But seriously, I really thought Disney of all places would be able to help us out.

After using the restrooms, we ride TTA twice, grab something to eat and take a few more pics before going back to nap.

This evening my parents have graciously volunteered to take DD ... so they go to Whispering Canyon for dinner and since our dinner is later, we go to SAB (Storm Along Bay) for a relaxing swim. A quick shower and dinner at Narcoosee -- YUM!!! This is my favorite restaurant at WDW and one of my top restaurants anywhere.

An awesome shot of the sky in the Grand Floridian Parking Lot. Although it looks pretty powerful, we had nothing but sunshine and dry that night.

OK, one sexy shot of me

Hmmm, what should I have to eat?? Notice my cute little purse I picked up in Epcot-China.

Awwww, look at the pretty couple! (and yes, Sharky, that is a crystal tattoo on my arm!)

a temporary one!

We were horrible about taking pictures of the food before we tore into them. DH had the Ahi Tuna Seared and I had the Striped Bass. Both were phenomenal. Then we watch HalloWishes and the water parade and come back inside for dessert -- Delish!

Did I mention that my DH likes to take pictures of me?

Then we head over to explore the Contemporary Resort -- look at this cute Mickey

The rest of the evening was, let me say 'enjoyable'.

So, we are nearing the end of the trip. Tomorrow we
- encounter the Dream Team again -- what dream do we get?
- What new attraction does DD do a "repeat -- PHEW" on?
- We get a call from our cat sitter -- UH OH.
- And where can you watch Surround-Sound Fireworks?
