Sept 2007 My Affair w/Mickey -- Complete!

Hey, Sharky! The flowers look awesome!

I forgot to mention, it takes more points to go in May than September so we won't be able to go as many days...oh well...I will call them later today to see what is available.

I was also hoping to meet up with you guys....

So, now that we are not pregnant...this may change our plans for WDW next year...

Here are our two choices...which do you think would be better? We are now leaning toward #1:

1) Go to WDW in early May at potentially 6 months pregnant (or less) and DD is still free for dining and tickets. Flower and Garden Show, weather may be less warm than September but more crowds. We may be able to overlap times when my parents will be there again.

OR

2) Go to WDW in early September with potentially a 2 month old and we now have to pay for DD's food and ticket. However, there won't be as many people..weather is warm. Great specials on airfare and rental cars. Little Ones Magic Hour. (Free dining isn't an option for DVC).

I think the hours are generally the same in both seasons and I don't think we would be doing MNSSHP.

The answer is C Wait till 2009 and go with your sister's family!:cool1:

That stinks it takes more points, but still so beautiful.

By Looking at your NEW TICKER, I say someone has booked themselves a new Trip:woohoo: :woohoo:

What are the dates??

I think you should take another short trip In October to meet us:thumbsup2

We are so worth it:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Hey, did you notice that? :goodvibes Yeah, we are booked for May 4th until the 12th -- ends up just being one day less than what we did in Sept (but still more points...oh well).

So this will be my first time to stay in WDW over Mother's Day.

Now I really have to finish this TR so I can start planning my new trip and making new crafts!

Today is Thursday, September 20th -- our "sleep in" day.

Chapter 8 - Meeting the Characters

So DD doesn't sleep well this night...she is up several times during the night crying, then goes back to sleep, cries again, etc. Finally around 4am she is asleep for good and we are thinking, 'great -- we'll get to sleep in now'. Nope!

DD is up before 8am, her normal time -- we were hoping for 9:30am... Since our breakfast isn't until 10am, we spend a leisurely morning. DD enjoys a jacuzzi tub bath. And then we are still early for breakfast but we decide to go down early at 9:30am to get a jump on our day.

Unfortunately, Cape May Cafe is slammed and running "at least 20 minutes behind". So DD watches TV and we finally get in around 10:10am. Now we are really hungry, after enjoying the wonderful smells for 40 minutes.

Here are a series of photos for the breakfast. Food was really good -- eggs, waffles, bacon, etc.

On our way back to our room, we stop by for a few pics with Ariel
Hmm, I thought DD LIKED Ariel

Oh, now I understand...they really should clean Ariel better -- ewwww, that's disgusting!

Actually, DD was just playing the "Where's your nose game?" with Ariel

So instead of swimming, I realized that today is really only the day for us, well, me to go shopping at DTD. So I suggest we head over there, instead of swimming. DH is kind enough to take DD to Once Upon a Toy and the Lego store, while I do my Blitzkrieg shopping -- try to pack shopping all of DTD in 2 hours -- it just ain't happening, but I gave it a valient effort.

I bought a blue mickey t-shirt for myself, a green polo for DH, a Minnie Princess stuffed doll for one of DD's friends birthday party gift, a charm bracelet with charms for myself, a keyring and a Book for DD on Mickey and Disney bear's day at Magic Kingdom.

It's getting hot again, we are hungry...DD is crying...doesn't want to eat, doesn't want to sleep, doesn't want to walk...you know how they get sometimes. So we head back to the room, nap and go to Raglan Road for dinner at Pleasure Island.

I would not recommend RR for eating -- it's great to grab a drink and appetizer but we were not impressed by our food. I got the ham (since it was supposed to be their signature item) and liked our local Honey Baked Ham store better.

As we exit the restaurant, it starts to rain and then just downpour, so we go back to the room, it's 8pm so we put DD to bed and we are in bed ourselves by 10:30am.

Tomorrow is Princess & Pooh Day (Hmmm, what is that??) and my absolute favorite restaurant at WDW for Parents Night out!

For my crafty fans, here is the other Spooky Memories House I made in that Recollections class.

I am Sharky and Sharky Misses nothing:thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

I spent my Mother's Day in Disney in our room as ds was sick:sad2:

However, they were giving out carnations to all mothers entering MK and Epoct in the morning. I am not sure about the other two parks.

Okay, now back to the regularly schedule trip report:goodvibes

Great update Marshay:thumbsup2

I love all the pics from your breakfast at Cape May Cafe

DD looks too cute:cutie:

That is so cool that they have a paper tablecloth for kids to draw on it. DS woud love that:cool1:

What is Blitzkrieg?? Did you make that up??:lmao:

I am not hearing a lot of great things about Raglan Road lately. I had been considering going there, but think I will pass.

So, hmm...what is Princess and Pooh Day???

You dress dd up in a princess costume and take her to the Crystal Palace for Breakfast??

Or does DD want to ride the Pooh Ride over and over again??:rotfl2:

Forgot...liked the pic where it looked like dd was picking ariel's nose:rotfl2:

Wow....someone taller than goofy:scared1: :lmao:

Your pictures are wonderful.:goodvibes Looks like your DD got a lot of time with Goofy! Too bad you didn't like Raglan Road. I've heard such good things about it, too.

Did I ever tell you that you look just like my kindergarten teacher? Seriously. Except that was way back in the early 80s and you definitely dress better than she did:lmao: . But there is a very strong resemblance. And your hubby looks just like a guy I work with.:)

Blitzkrieg is a German military word. I used it humorously to describe my attacking all the DTD stores in a fast manner.

here is the Wikipedia version:
Blitzkrieg (help·info) (German, literally Lightning war or flash war) is a popular name for an offensive operational-level military doctrine which involves an initial bombardment followed by the employment of mobile forces attacking with speed and surprise to prevent an enemy from implementing a coherent defense. The founding principles of these types of operations were developed in the 20th century by various nations, and adapted in the years after World War I, largely by the German Wehrmacht, to incorporate modern weapons and vehicles as a method to help avoid the stalemate of trench warfare and linear warfare in future conflicts. The first practical implementations of these concepts coupled with modern technology were instituted by the Wehrmacht in the opening theatres of World War II.

The strategy was particularly effective in the invasions of Western Europe and initial operations in the Soviet Union. These operations were dependent on surprise penetrations, general enemy unpreparedness and an inability to react swiftly enough to German offensive operations.

Definitely skip Raglan Road -- also if you are on the DDP, they only allow certain dishes on the menu on the plan and we had to use 2 appetizer credits in order to get the decent appetizers.

You got the princess part right...now you of all people Sharky should have figured out the Pooh/poo part! :rotfl2:

Hey, I now have a double in this world! I heard everyone has one but haven't met mine.

Actually, I was in a restaurant in Connecticut and someone came up to me and told me that I have a double -- they had to double-check that it wasn't their friend. :lmao:

Now my parents got the scallops at Raglan Road for the appetizer and they said they would come back just for the appetizer, it was so good...but they wouldn't order the meal (they got the ham and the steak).

Hopefully, others have a good meal at RR.

Well, your double as I remember her is probably about 60 now, so I'm sure she's not your double anymore.:rotfl: But if I didn't know better, I would say she could be your mom...:goodvibes

I remember that word from the old Ramones song, Blitzkreig Bop.:goodvibes
