Great guesses on the Meow -- but waaaay off!
We are ready to begin!
Ok it is Saturday, September 15th
as I mentioned previously, I got up before my alarm since I was so excited and wanted to finish packing, do emails, etc. But as I walked down the hallway I look and see my DDs head sticking out the door. She is giggling and all happy to be up. Maybe she knows something is up
.
After we are all packed, I asked DD, Where are we going today? and she responds Disney World (yeah, shes been coached). How are we getting there? Airplane!
So here is DD before we head to the airport
if I wanted to know what a first day of school picture will be like this is it!
So DD, which airline are we flying????
My DD, the poster girl for SouthWest airlines!
Getting to the airport was uneventful. SW has baggage check outside the terminal and it is extremely windy -- so much that I'm starting to chill standing outside in my shorts and tank top. We whisk through the airport to our gate with about 50 minutes to spare. We grab 2 sandwiches for the 3 of us, change her diaper right before the flight -- we are ready! Nothing can go wrong! Right??
DH pre-boards, gets the car seat on the plane and here is DD and DH ready for take-off. The brown bear is DD's "luvvy"...he is a Gund bear, so we named him Gun(d)ther...you'll see him in a bunch of photos!
We tell DD that when the plane starts up it will be noisy and bumpy and she'll feel pressed back into her seat. We think we have her prepared for take-off, she is smiling, we are happy, we are hungry but wanted to wait until take-off to eat so DD's ears can 'pop' while eating food.
We are 2nd for takeoff, it's still quite windy outside and the pilot says to prepare for a bumpy ride until we get through the clouds.
Takeoff is ....
a) smooth like a baby's bottom
or
b) bouncy like Tigger on WtP in Fantasyland
The plane rolls down the runway...faster, faster, faster...finally we lift off in the air and ...
