My parents decide to stay in MK a bit longer but we need to get back to the room for DDs nap. I snap a few pics of the park with all their Fall decorations:
We lucked out and got the front of the monorail.
Hey, Sharky -- Your DH worked with this guy, right? He was our driver...not very talkative though...
We go back and nap successfully -- DD was tired. Dinner is at my favorite 1 credit meal in WDW -- Le Cellier! Yes, KindaKrazy, Canadian is best!!
We ate here for lunch in '05 and got the Filet Mignons and my mouth is drooling just from thinking about it. I've only met one person who doesn't like this restaurant and one on the DIS, but I honestly don't understand why not...guess they just got a bad meal -- it happens...
So this time we were there for dinner. While we are waiting, we snap a few pics -- DD is in a good mood!
Lately DD is giving us these big hugs
My parents
DD was so excited to see the bears coming toward her, that she ran away laughing...
(For the Sharky mind, yes that is me in the top left corner of the photo!)
I'm very sad to say that the only picture we got from Le Cellier was this one - non-alcoholic drinks that came with our
DDP!! DD also got a drink with a light up Tinkerbell
I ordered the duck appetizer, Filet Mignon (Med Rare) and the Apple Crumble. Everyone else got the Cheddar Cheese Soup (I ate my dad's since he didn't want his -- YUM!!!). My mom ordered hers Medium, since she isn't adventurous enough to order less done...however, at the end of the meal, I realized that her piece was more red than mine -- I think the server mixed ours up. However, my mom thought the Filet was the best she ever had -- even compared to our friend who is a meat butcher and obviously very picky about his steaks!
All of our steaks were just scrumptious! No gobs of fat, not overcooked, tender as can be, spiced just perfectly (don't even think about A-1 sauce). Our waitress was funny, professional and just a nice person (we tipped a lot more than the 18%). My portion of the bill alone was $60!!! So glad we used the DDP.
After dinner, my parents went their own way and we decided to stroll over to Mexico and Norway. DD loves Mexico boat ride and the dancing dolls, we do more crazy hats
On to the Maelstrom and the mandatory troll shot
I couldn't decide which pics to post, so I'll post all 3 of the Viking hats. I can't wait until DD's hair is long enough to put in braids:
The innocent viking
On to China where I purchase some silk purses and an outfit for DD
We meet up with my parents to watch Illuminations and call it a night.
It is so nice to be able to walk back to your room, no crowds to fight and no lines. My father rushes on ahead to get the boat that just pulled into the dock, but I know that it'll take us a bit longer with DD, the stroller, etc, so I just say we're walking. Heh, heh, we get back to the room first anyway! The boat from Epcot goes to Boardwalk first, then to the dock at Yacht Club and there is still a bit of a walk to the BCV. It's a nice ride to enjoy -- you don't take the boat to be quicker!
Tomorrow is our "sleep in" day -- did we forget to tell DD?
This is our pool day -- did someone forget to tell me? (oops!)
Cape May Cafe -- characters!!!
