Sept 20,2011 Wonder Repositioning Cruise

WOW! I go away for a couple of days, and this thread grew by 4 pages!!! Boy, you guys have been chatty! :rotfl:

I was in your neck of the woods this weekend for a wedding. I love St. Louis. I live a few hours from there, but ironically, I've only been to the arch once and have NEVER done any of the other touristy things there. One day, I hope to explore that town some more. It's really a neat place, but honestly have never actually gone out and done anything there!!! :sad2:

You'll also hear me say FH and that means Future Husband, since I'm getting married in just over THREE MONTHS!!! :yay:

Where was the wedding at? So many cool places in St. Louis to get married. DH and I got married at the Zoo in 2009. It was awesome and our wedding pictures turned out amazing.

Well, the wedding was actually in IL, but we stayed in St. Louis two nights, since I actually live about 7 hours from where the wedding actually was. Worked out great for us, since FH had to get on a plane in St. Louis and fly back to WA the day after the wedding, so staying in St. Louis worked really well for us. :)

My airfare is booked, my hotel in Vancouver booked....it's beginning to seem very real. :woohoo:

I totally know what you mean!
I am so anxious to get on the Wonder!!! Every time I see photos of the ship I keep wishing it was trip time NOW, lol.

I know how you feel Rosie. I can't wait either.

Good thing I got some Disney Magic this weekend. I was one of the winners for an advance passholder preview of Star Tours (it is great) and Ariel, The Little Mermaid was having a soft opening, so I talked John into standing in a 45 minute line for it :dance3::dance3::dance3:

I am so excited! This will be the first cruise for both my 13 year old daughter and myself. But, does anybody know of any other single parents on this cruise? I would really like an "adult only" night, but don't want to do it alone.
BTW, Vancouver is my hometown, so if anybody has any questions I could probably help.

Welcome to the thread. I'm Heather and I am sailing with my DH John.

Oh what fun!! Good for you. Tara and would have liked to have seen the new rides but we missed it by a few weeks!

Welcome!
While I'm not single, I'm not traveling with children...Tara and I will be adults only the whole time. I think they're quite a few of us. :cutie:

I'm sure they'll both be wonderful.

So...has anyone set up a Dis meet yet?

Welcome aboard!

I'm Janice and I'll be on this cruise with my DS Trevor.

I love Vancouver, we fly there a couple of times a year, for shopping and shows.

So, what's everyone doing in Victoria? I kind of just want to walk the riverfront to downtown, maybe hit one of the little museums. Will this be too much of a walk do you think? Can we see whales from there? Is it whale season? Should we pack umbrellas? What about the castle? If I book an excursion I'm leaning towards it. Anyone been there? Is it interesting? Can you cancel excursions if you change your mind? Is that enough questions? :rotfl:

I think September is the wrong time of year to see LOTS of whales, but I do know that you can see whales off the coast of Victoria all year long, but I am pretty sure you'd need to be on a boat to do it.

We're doing the Empress tea (if there are still spots available at 75 days out, that is). FH wanted to do the castle, but I finally talked him into doing the Empress tea. ;) Anyone else doing that excursion?! :confused3

I don't think so, I would love to do a DIS meet
I would also love to have a meet up :)
On our first cruise we didn't make it to the meet. Got busy with DS and totally missed it :( But would definately like to do one this time.

Where do the meets usually happen? Diversions or the main lobby? Would be cool to get a group photo in the atrium around the statue and along the staircase :)

We are doing the garden tour.

I would also like to do a DIS meetup.

Who's excited? 112 Days left!!!:cool1: I can't wait!!! When we get to L.A. my mom and I are staying in the Grand and going to Disneyland for 4 days!!! :woohoo: Just can't get enough Disney!

SO EXCITED!!!!

Yes, I have been, infact, I was born on the island, it might be a bit of a walk but one museum that you don't want to go to is the insectarium, it's gross, but you should visit the wax museum!
