Sept 20,2011 Wonder Repositioning Cruise

:banana::banana:Yay Fireworks!!! I wonder if I was told no because I called so far out...maybe 2 months ago???

I'm glad they'll have them...I'd love for my daughter to see them...it's so magical isn't it?

Very happy to hear about the fireworks, that's what i was looking forward to on Pirate Night since I am not the type to get dressed up. Movie selection looks great, I loved Cars2 and wanted to see POTC4 and The Help (reading it now) so all looks good.

I really do hope that there's fireworks, but FH was also told that there wouldn't be fireworks (about 2 weeks ago), so I'm not getting my hopes up, but it'd be really, really nice if there were!!! :lovestruc

Can't wait to find out if there are fireworks or not! Seems like mixed messages.
But logic dictates that if there were none throughout the summer in Alaska then they wouldn't bother *loading* for just one show, right?

According to DCl today there ARE fireworks

Was debating on whether to make or purchase my FE. Looked on ETSY and EBAY and decided to make one my self. I am a quilter but not really a seamstress so we will see how it turns out. Using directions found on a DIS scrapbooking site. Wish me luck :thumbsup2 I gonna need it. Also, so excited for the movies. I want to see them all. Do they offer popcorn ? popcorn:: I'll be sure to pack some Jr. Mints and Red Vines as well.

1) can i bring / use a personal mini Keurig in the stateroom?

Sorry, no Keurigs allowed, not even a mini.

> 2) do they have a list of movies being shown that week
>
> A looong list! The list may be shorter since your cruise is a little shorter.
>
> Friday Nights
> The Help
> POTC 4
> Winnie the Pooh
> Cars 2
> African Cats
> Prom
> Mars needs Moms
> Gnomeo & Juliet
> Tron 3D
> Tangled 3D
> Secretariat (sp?)
> You Again
> Toy Story 3 in 3D

>
> 3) Why no fireworks? :(
>
> There ARE fireworks and a Pirate Night!
>
>
> 4) How SAFE is Ensenada???? most ppl on the Disboards are not getting off the ship because of the increase in crime there....and how safe are we getting to/from our horseback excursion?
> (i would have thought that with the whole ensenada thing, they may have chgd ports to San Diego or Catalina island):(
>
>
> As of right now, there are no safety alerts being issued for Ensenada. This should be checked again closer to cruise time. As you already know, if DCl feels you will not be safe they will cancel or change the ports and/or excursions and you will not be charged for anything cancelled by DCL.

No Keurig? Aww, shoot... I guess we just have to drink Disney coffee.. :guilty:

I was all excited about the Keurig myself so a little bummed about not being able to take one on. Has anyone tried Starbucks instant coffee Via yet? Its not amazing but I think it may be better than the onboard stuff.

true - it's not bad at all...but the onboard isn't 'horrible' - i mean i've had worse....

I just plan to go to the Cove Cafe and have a coffee with a little something, something added!!!!
oh me too - MANY times!!!! now i have to find my Cove Cafe punch card that i didn't finish last trip

I talked to my travel agent and she double checked with Disney. A cast member called her back today and said there would be fireworks on our cruise. I hope so because I love the cruise fireworks.

Well that's two affirmatives in one day....thinking HAPPY thoughts and lots of :wizard::wizard::wizard::wizard::wizard:

I would assume if you can't leave your room in the morning without a good coffee - a French Press would work - it is non electrical - order hot water from room service and bring ground coffee.

But the coffee with the 'something, something' from the Cover sounds good too. :rolleyes1 Did I read that the Cover opens at noon?

:hippie:

We get fireworks? Was looking forward to fireworks off the ship!
And The Help movie!!!!!! Have autographed book by the author. Loved it ...

Last time I called DCL I was told the Pirate night would be on night 3 and the semi-formal on night 4.

Rats, I was hoping the semi-formal would be earlier in the cruise. My dress I'm taking is rather form-fitting and was hoping to get into it before three days of hitting breakfast & lunch buffets. Maybe I'll bring an elasticized waistband as a backup :rotfl:

Hmm...I'm positive they had a character breakfast on the LA to Vancouver repo and that was less than 7 nights (I think) so I'll hold out hope for one but won't mention it to the kids, just in case. :rolleyes1

Fireworks?! When do they usually do the fireworks? First night, last night, all nights? pixiedust:

Did anyone else get a 'welcome aboard' card this week? My dh and I hid in the laundry room to read it and squee'd like little girls :cloud9:.

Uh oh, now I'm going to have to run to the mail box every day, lol!

Oh I can't wait!!

I just found out my company, after 20 something years, is folding. My last day will be Sept. 1st. :sad1::sad1::sad1:

But, this makes the cruise extra special, and I indend to enjoy it to the max!!
