 I couldn't believe it when I saw this article in my local-yocal paper. :faint:

Bank robber to serve prison term
Hendricks county Flyer, Indiana
By Cynthia Fugate

DANVILLE -- An Indianapolis man that police say robbed area banks to pay for a crack-cocaine habit was sentenced to a four-year prison term Tuesday.

Terry J. Doyle, 47, accepted a state's plea agreement to the March 22 robbery of the Lincoln Bank branch in Avon. He pleaded guilty to one felony count each of theft and robbery. He had faced 14 years in prison.

According to court documents. Doyle walked into the bank at 7648 E. U.S. 36 and handed teller Jan Harper a note that demanded $3,000. In the handwritten note, Doyle threatened to shoot the teller if his demands were not met.

A short time after Doyle left the bank with the money, Avon police officers stopped him. He told authorities he had a crack pipe in the car.

Hendricks County Chief Deputy Prosecutor Stephenie LeMay-Luken said the four-year sentence is appropriate, considering the fact that Doyle had some drunk driving convictions in Marion County over the past 20 years and was placed on probation.

"Probation is not working if the defendant is still re-entering the criminal justice system," LeMay-Luken said. "Doyle's type of crime changed dramatically, becoming violent. He needs to seek treatment in a prison environment where he cannot harm or threaten to harm citizens."

According to court records, Doyle had first attempted to rob Union Federal Bank and Indiana Members Credit Union, both in Avon, but lost his nerve. Doyle told authorities he had went as far as entering those banks....

Doyle will be transported from the Hendricks County Jail in Danville to the Marion County Jail in Indianapolis where he faces additional charges

Why do I tell you all this? B/C this guy cut my hair! I went into the hair salon in our local Walmart and this guy cut and styled my hair. :scared1: He did a great job, but you wouldn't have known if this guy had a drug problem or not. My DH asked me if I really knew him and I told him yes, b/c the last thing I knew was that Terry was on medical leave. So, until now, I've been waiting for him to return to work so that he could cut my hair again. He won't be working at all for a while b/c HE'LL BE IN PRISON!

There was a photo in the online article, but I didn't post it b/c I didn't think it was that important. Unlike, Los Angeles or even Atlanta our local newpapers will tell who did what, where, some times provide their place of residence, and like this article their age.

The whole thing is freaky!

I'm back! Did ya miss me? Well my flight went off without a hitch. It was actually pretty nice. Very sweet and funny flight staff. Anyway, I think my cats missed me more than my DH. Not to say that he didn't miss me but they seemed to REALLY miss me.

So Taeja, would you say that your hair cut is so good it should be illegal! :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Hey where is everyone? My last post had a great joke in it! I mean I think it's great! :earboy2: Good monday morning!!!!

Lawd... this will never do.. we cant fall back to the second page. Where is everyone/ We have been working. Or shall I say have been at work. this is the one slow week of the year. We only had 5-8 kids all week. yessss!!! we like that.

it is getting closer and closer to our REPO cruise. less than a month now. it has been a long hard draw. But we are fully ready to go now. Just waiting on documents. We all got our passports last week. Got a decent room... Cant ask for much more.
Hope all of ya have a good week
patty

Ladypoo, that repo cruise sounds like heaven! I wish I was going. Work has been busy for me and I am still unpacking my house. I have also started taking classes to be a travel agent! I guess I just don't have enough to do.
Ericamanda, I loved your joke. It was too funny! :rotfl2:

Ladypoo I have no idea how you can sit still long enough to type. I would be jumping around the house like Tigger with excitement! :bounce:

EEYOREFAN1969 I would love to see pictures of your house. When ya gonna post some?

Oh man I just got back from the dentist and I feel like I have a fat lip. I hate this feeling! Send PD so this stuff wears off soon!

Hello, Ladies!

Amanda01: Hope the numbness wears off FAST!! I have been putting off going to the dentist but I think I really need to go. I hate that feeling, too!!

Ladypoo: How can you contain your excitement????????????? I'm :jumping1: :bounce: for ya! ;)

Eeyore: Yes, WE want pictures!!!! ::yes::

Do ya'll remember how excited I was about my new explorer a couple of months ago? Well, I could just slap myself silly!!! Sunday morning I was backing out of the garage (which I am always SOOOOOOOOOOO careful about because I have to park as close to the right side as possible so that DD will not ding my husband's Infiniti when she opens the door, but that's ANOTHER story!!) and just as I was about to clear the right side mirror DD said something and without thinking I turned around to see what she was talking about and there went my mirror!!! :faint: The "case" that holds the mirror popped out of place but wasn't really damaged, but the mirror part itself completely came off. DH took it alot better than I thought he would (he can be really crazy when it comes to our vehicles) but now we're looking at about $200 to replace ONE mirror! :sad2: Just a couple of weeks ago he noticed the fog lamp (way at the bottom) on the driver's side was completely broken out and I really have NO idea how THAT happened. He thinks maybe a rock hit it. I tell ya, I had my old Explorer for 3 years and aside from stone cracks in the windshield (which is unavoidable around here) there was really no damage to it. In less than 3 months my new vehicle has so much damage!! Maybe I shoulda just kept the old one. Anyway, just wanted to share my story with ya'll.

We'll be out of town this weekend. My husband's cousin is getting married in Monterrey Mexico and we will be gone Friday thru Sunday. Funny, we've been married almost 12 years and I've never been to visit his uncle/cousins in Mexico (just see them when they come visit here) but I've heard it's very pretty because of the mountains. Hope the weather cooperates.

Take care everyone!! :wave2:

Have a great trip, Leonor! I am sure it will be beautiful. Sorry to hear about your truck. I hate when stuff like that happens.
Ericamanda, I hope you feel better after your trip to the dentist. I have no problems going myself. I used to be a dental assistantand I think that helps.

:cool1:

Hiya all.
I went on the Sep 19th cruise a year ago. I've had to live through all your pics since i was too busy having fun on the boat. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Anyhow, just curious who is braving another attempt at a september cruise? I thought it was fun, with Francis out there waving at us in the atlantic and following us home. I'm looking to book something for September again. Last year we got an oceanview room for $300/150(child) and it appears this year the same deals, and possibly better are available for Florida residents.

Bon Voyage :umbrella:

orateam welcome to what I believe is the longest running after cruise thread. Dzneprincess and myself will be going on the Magic next Sept. I can't wait.

Krystina'sMommy sorry to hear about your car. That sucks! I hope you have a fun time on your trip.

Thanks everyone for your dental well wishes. I am feeling much better today. I have a great dentist so it wasn't so bad, I just have a problem with the shots. Kind of a HUGH fear!

My SIL should be close if not at LAX by now. Her and my two nieces have been here for six days. Now that the weather has cooled off (I've got my windows open!) she's gone. It's been sooooo hot here- in the 90's w/ humidity. We went to a water park two days ago and that was a lot of fun. Ever hear of Holiday World? Here's a link that shows you a little bit of what Holiday World has to offer. I esp. loved the free drinks and free sunscreen b/c we needed it over and over. http://www.holidayworld.com/ss.html

ORATEAM, WELCOME BACK! Didn't it help to find us on page ONE of the cruise meets board?! At least, I hope you found us on page one. We've been bouncing between pages one and two lately. So, you're thinking about cruising again in September! That's great! My family will be cruising again on the Wonder September 3-7. I desperately wanted to cruise a 7 day w/ Amanda01 and Dzneprincess, but two of my kids will miss too much school and DH has that bad thing called work.

Leonor, sorry to hear about your truck. I did that to my husband's car shortly after we moved in to this house. Different garage and parking angles and we'll you know...the driver side rear view mirror broke. Except, on ours the whole piece snapped apart.

Eeyorefan, You'll put a big huge lime green mickey head in your yard so we know where to go when we come for a visit right? How exciting, living so close to cruise and go to WDW and the sister parks.

Amanda01, how are your gums today? Have shakes, malts, and icecream been on your menu as of late? I hate dental work as well. I loathe going to the dentist. I had a lot of quartizone (sp?) shots when I was younger and I think I've developed my own anxiety over shots and any Drs'.

DZNEprincess you are missed. I hope your vacation is going well and that its cool where you are. You never answered if you left your DH at a rest stop.

Well all, I'm in recovery mode. Have a great day! :wave2:

Page 1 is just unbelievable.

I want to go again to do the things i didn't get to do the first time. I had the room #'s for Eoye and Kristina's Mommy and several others but never got around to meeting any of you. Even forgot the main meetup. It was like a carnival for me, i wanted to do everything.

It appears now that i look back, with this thread so lively, that i missed out a bit since you all seem to be people that truly cherished the time you had and the people you met.

What dates have you thought about cruising in September? I assume you want to cruise in '06 right? Well, my family is going 9/03/06 on the Wonder and I believe EricAmanda01 and Dzneprincess are set for 9/16/06 on the Magic. Wouldn't it be great if you cruised on either of these dates. You could have your own September '04 reunion!

I know what you mean about why you want to go back on DCL. There was so much I missed or didn't get to do in '04. I felt like a kid in a candy store with all the activities for me and my family. I missed the DIS meet and part of the sail away party b/c we were just in awe. In '06 I plan to stay up a little later and see things like the secret verandah and peek or watch a movie in the theatre. Orateam, let us know if you book for '06 or even '07. We'd love to hear about your plans if you are willing to share. We love to share our DISney dreams on our 9/04 thread. :cloud9:

Orateam, we cherrish you too. I'm glad you found us and are posting with us again. :cheer2:  :cheer2:

Thanks,
I'm looking to go next month :)
Got lots of vacation time and the prices seem pretty reasonable for September.

Wwaahh for me :crying: <- - - > How fun for you! Lucky duck! :cool1:

Orateam, No more September sailing for me. My DS starts kindergarten August 4th and I am now a prisoner to school vacations! :guilty: We are sailing on the Mariner of the Sea next June and are planning a family reunion cruise for 2007. I don't know what cruise line but it will probably be in the last part of July. My DH is still being stubborn about another Disney cruise. He likes the ships with Casino's. I am working on that, though. ;) We would have loved to have met you on the last cruise, though.
I will definately put a large lime green Mickey head in the front yard for whoever wants to come and visit me. Bring your bathing suits! the weather is hot and my pool is cool :sunny: !!!
