Beak and Barrel Seating Experiences

Well this has gone far afield from the original thread and I respect your opinion even if I don’t agree with it. 😊

To be honest I haven’t looked at all the you tube videos- so here is my probably stupid question. If you have a party of 9 where 5 are kids ages 3 to 9, does Beak and Barrel have only high top tables like at Oga’s? That’s always the problem with Oga’s if we are at a table there is no place for kid to sit or they aren’t tall enough see the top of the table and we only got a booth 1 time. Any idea of where a group of 9 with mostly kids would end up at?

Some is opinions, most are facts. Like there was pizza delivery 30-40 years ago. That’s a fact. But yes it did go a tad far afield, but opening a bar in MK also was pretty left field given the past statements and policies

They would most certainly accommodate you. Since each table is restricted to 45 minutes apparently, the wait for any specific table won’t exceed that unless another party is waiting for a specific table which is unlikely. Just stop by the desk before your reservation and tell them. Disney doesn’t want young children to be placed in a compromising position/table (or lack of table) either.

We were a group of four, and we were seated at a half-circle table (like Oga’s) with two people sitting in the booth with us and two people sitting on stools in the straight side. It was fine but not my fav.

We have a reservation for 2. I read the post by @nerdboyrockstar. Anyone else have an experience with a reservation for 2?

We were a party of 2. This is my post from the 1st page.

I asked when I checked in if we could be seated instead of standing, the CM was very nice, said she’d mark the request. We checked in right at our 11:20 ADR & we were called almost immediately. We were seated at a small table for 2 in the back. It was fine for us, nice & quiet. But couldn't really see any of the action. I could get up to look when I heard stuff start. But by the time I got there, it was over, lol.

We’re a party of 3 - this will definitely be an experience seating wise - we go in just a couple of weeks!

Party of three, got our own small table near the fireplace with a partial view of the bar, very happy with that.
All in all, sort of an underwhelming experience, no reason to go back again.

We were there opening night. My husband and I were seated at the far end of one of the large tables in the mess (I have an amazing view of Rummy the Parrot and basically everything in the room). About 35 minutes into our reservation a family was seated next to us. It was really NBD since we were getting ready to leave soon. There’s much more seats in this bar than at Oga’s. I hate the stupid standing tables there.

We were a party of 4 and were seated at a booth. The server did say others might be seated with us. A solo person did join our table, she was great. It was a nice experience for all of us! Our table wasn't the best for viewing all the action, but we enjoyed it. The server did monitor the time, she came around to us at about the 40 minute mark and let us know we were almost at time (she did it in a pirate themed way), so they do keep track. We ordered drinks and one appetizer, the "chips and dip". It wasn't that great and I would not recommend it. I would go back! Also did Geo82 and enjoyed it more than I expected. It was not inexpensive, but our server was very knowledgeable and there was no rush at all. I originally expected it to be a one and done, however I will definitely go back. It's really pretty at night, too!

So what is the deal with the pirate mug? I thought that was a regular menu item that includes the drink? Why are people selling for $200 on eBay,?.

Some listings are saying "limited edition", but has Disney confirmed that this mug is limited and won't be available anymore??

That’s kind of annoying tbh that they place people at the same table who are at different points of their time limits. The whole time limit thing is so tacky to me to start with. Than to just have to deal with people near you rotating out is very factory like
The problem is, and it was this way at Adventurers...if you don't set a time limit, there are plenty of people who will just take up space all day long.
I mean nowadays people won’t even leave a 15 year old alone………back in the day people regularly left 9-10 year olds alone at home.
I leave my 7 year old home with my 11 year old all the time. It's very common where I live for parents to do the same.

It’s the first print or edition of the mug. Says on the bottom (I bought one with the drink and it was like 50 bucks for both). People are selling based on the fact that once that one is “gone” there will be a new mug and maybe not look the same?

I don’t doubt you at all. People camp out 2-3 hours for parades and fireworks spots, so I know they can also do that at this type of place. It just is kind of tacky is my opinion and makes it seem factory like. Thankfully that type of behavior isn’t coming for any of the other dinning as it would be painful to have a time limit for character dinning, would be unpleasant.

Unfortunately not where I live

ah, now makes sense. I doubt Disney would get rid of the mug, maybe this one is :limited" because it says on the product or they might use another design once this current one sells out

Agree that people may be anticipating a collectible like Trader Sam's mugs that come and go all the time. Even same exact mugs change color over the years. Like we have several Zombies all different colors. DS has bought many drinks and sold the mugs from there that pay for his drink and provide a profit. Nice to be able to enjoy knowing you can cover your bill.

Oga's haf some sellable ones but not like Trader Sam's. I have a mug from Skipper Canteen from when it first opened. Actually got one of the last ones and they never ordered more of this particular mug. So few I guess were made because I never see any for sale. Time will tell what they opt to do.

I just wanted to keep mine, didn't even think about getting a 2nd! I for sure should have done that in the Haunted Mansion parlor on the Treasure because those mugs are very unique.
