So how is everyone this fine thursday morning. I was talking to DH last night as asking him if he had friday off, his company usually gives long weekends for holidays. He said no but they have monday and tuesday off. Then he works wenesday and we have a mini vacation on thursday and friday. When I was looking for work why couldn't I find a place like that? His company rocks!

We are doing wonderful this fine humid thursday morning. We are busy making a coverup to wear on our next cruise. Have embroidered on lime green t-shirts with bright orange thread. Getting all ready to go.. less than 2 months now. YEA!!!!!!!!!!.... Hope everyone has a Wonderful 4th this weekend. We go back to work on Monday night. Have had a great week off. I dont think our schedule can be beat, Amanda01. We work a week and then have a full week off. Unless of course we want to work extra and still are considered full time. So, in essence, we only work 26 weeks a year. Have a good weekend everyone

Hey yall... ya can always come down and join us in south georgia. Join the ranks of the Rn's here. We always have openings. We love our jobs though. you cant beat the schedule. We are off every other week. and still get paid for full time. it helps that i have 20 years of service here. amanda princess, come on with us. there are still rooms available. We decideded to upgrade to a category 5. So now we have a nice balcony to go with our room. It would be too much to be in the windowless room for 2 weeks. Cant wait. We are waiting on our passports now. they should be here anyday. One less expense we will have for the Double scoop cruise.
Hope everyone has a great weekend. Oh and by the way, i am always lurking here. Just cant log on at work. Here at home, I only get here when misti and dom are asleep.

Nurses rank right up there with teachers and police. Over worked, under paid and under appreciated. I think those should be the top paying jobs in this country! You rock! I can't wait to hear all about the repo cruise!

Do you think you'll do a live report from the ship? Hint, hint! Nursing? Blech- maybe I can find a job working for the governement, they're always taking breaks. I can hardly stand looking at my own blood let alone some one elses. Even during child birth I didn't want to look. Kudos to you nurses!

I'm busy packing and cleaning the house. We leave for one week of family camp up in the Michiana (Michigan/Indiana) area. I can't promise any posting between now and when we return.

But of course, I just had to leave one more post before I left. Ladypoo, don't leave this thread. We need you!

I ainta goin no where. I check in all the time. just cant log in at work. i still read. And yes I am going to try and do a live feed when we get on the ship in august. I am a night owl, so hopefully we wont have the same problems the May cruisers had.

I love being a nurse. have been at the same hospital my entire career. have done all different shifts and schedules, but think I like the one I have now the most. I have been there so long that I get called all over to start hard to get IV's. The one place I dont particularly care for is Labor and Delivery. Just dont think I would like looking at pregnant/delivering females... Now that has got to be a bloody messy job. BLECH!!!!!!

We are doing a whole lotta nothing this weekend. Dom was sick last night so we were out doing bed linens this morning. We wound up changing the bed 3 times last night. every time into the shower she went. she is better this morning.

I'm tired of combing the DISboard. I hope you ladies can help. I'm trying to find the picture of the Wonder pic of the Goofy pool from last Sept. Remeber picture of the pool and the high waves caused by the motion of the ship? The spash was at least two feet high. I believe the DISer who took it looks like this--- she's standing in front of the Wonder funnel's (centered) holding a drink, wearing a red and white dress, possibly med. length blonde or lt. brown hair. She has the pic of herself in her signature line. Its a pretty big photo. I can't find any recent posts of who ever this DISer is. Can you ladies help me out? I'm just crazy and still have lots of work to do before leaving for vacation. I tried searching for the pic of the pool, but haven't located it.
