Welcome, Kay. You might have seen that we have all agreed we're going to try to have on something lime or alien green. A ribbon or name tag of piece of clothing. That way we'll be able to recognize the people we've been talking to.
I've been watching Ivan, too. It looks like its going into the gulf so it won't be as big a problem for us, I hope.

Right, but unfortunately... Ivan could decide to take a right turn... we JUST don't know right now....

Frances was supposed to go striaght up FL, then turned, then kept turning, so we (atl) were not in the 'hit zone' and then she turned right back to us being in the 'hit zone'.... so... at this point, it's really hard to say...

we all need to keep w/ the tropical update.

Either way, it depends on what you end up with. You can find alien green mickey head paint samples that will peel off the card and can be used at Home Depot. I was in the one near me yesterday and got 4 of them for my DH and I. I am going to make them into name tags for us.

I wanted to do a magnetic sign and an iron on on a pillowcase of the boat with a mickey cloud above. Does anybody know where I can get a copy of this?

I am sorry that I never answered the question that you asked me a while ago about the shore excursion in Nassau. Its new and from what I gather its a snorkeling excursion that allows you time to swim with the stingrays and also beach time and they allow children 4 and older on the excursion so we are going to give it a try if its still possible after all of these storms. I work at a police department in Florida and it has been a nightmare here for the past 2 weeks so its been hard for me to keep up with the boards and communicate with everyone. By the way, where in N.H> are you from? I was born and raised in Manchester.

I just spoke with a rep and they told me that CC fared much better than thought. I asked them about our cruise and they said there were no port changes. She said if there was all passengers would be contacted. She said that they had received a bullentin stating that the island was not as bad as they thought. She said they did expect to make it there.

Thanks for calling and then letting us all know what you found out. At least now we can hold out hope that we will be able to get to CC and Nassau. I'm going to try to make door signs for my DH's birthday. I'll get my kids to help - they do much better on the computer than I do.

Still working on another sign, but I also made some changes to the original one. Decided to change DD to Boo from Monsters Inc because she really resembled Boo when she was younger and DS(ister) decided she wanted to be represented by Belle (Beauty and the Beast) since there aren't any hispanic princesses .

I did get my magnetic paper today at Walmart, but I haven't printed it yet. The latest pictures were taken directly off of the computer screen, so they are not the best. Here they are:

Other info:

Dzne we are in cabin 7526 (7586 is listed). We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary last Dec, so this is sort of a late celebration (or early 11th anniversary), since we weren't able to take a trip sooner.

I am on the shy side as well, but DH can talk anyone's ear off!



We selected late dining, since early dining would be like 5:30 TX time and we don't eat that early!

2nd Door Sign

DH just doesn't understand all the excitement (he's not big on Disney, but this was his idea). I haven't even told him about all of the wonderful folks I've met here. He thinks I spend too much time on this computer already and he isn't into talking to "stangers" on the internet (but remember, he can talk your ear off in person!).

Still hoping Ivan goes away AND CC will be up and running next week!

We are finally able to get caught back up on the boards. We just had our power restored this evening from Frances this weekend. Although we are in North Florida (outside of Jacksonville), we received some nasty winds and weather through yesterday. Power is still out for many here in North Florida. We can only imagine how those in central Florida were effected. We are glad that we did not have any damage and hope that Florida recovers quickly.

On a better note, we are so excited about getting to PC on Saturday to board on Sunday morning/noon ASAP. It sounds like encouraging news for CC according to the previous posts, but we will have fun where ever we go.

We are in cabin 7100, and we are sort of celebrating our 10th year anniversary which was yesterday, but this trip is really about getting a break from our business which has consumed our lives the past 3 years. We are also looking forward to spending some quality time with our 2 DS.

We have started packing, but with the set back we had the past few days, we still have much to do to be ready to leave on the 18th. But we will be ready. We will also do something with the green color scheme.

I believe this gets us current on the thread.
