Hilary was okay...I have really only been to 2 Madonna concerts and she puts on a SHOW......she entertains....Hilary just pretty much sang and since I did not know many of her songs I was a wee bit bored. I only know whatever songs they play on the radio IE Fly, So Yesterday, Come Clean, Wake up....thats about it.... she is a cute girl..although I now know I am officially old, because she was wearing some skintight pants and some heels that looked at least 3 in tall, and all I could think was, poor girl, her feet muct be killing her! I wanted to tell her to kick em off and go bare! LOL

Well I step away from the boards for the day and it looks like you ladies have forgotten to take your medication! Sorry no "Mason" pictures yet, but trust me the day we bring him home ( the 20th) there will be lots of pictures. As for the baby making we are still in the trial run, meaning we are just practicing! But we thought it best to wait for me to finish my associates degree. So any time after December 2006 is fine by me! I feel so behind on the boards. I take a few days off and I feel like a newbie! How dare I go and venture into the 3 dementional world! Never again!

Hello everyone! I am still here too. We have been having a lot of rain and severe lightning so I haven't been able to get online as much as I would like. My DH started kindergarten on Monday and I think that it has been harder on me than him. I can't wait to see pictures of Mason. Pokie is adorable. I will work on getting pictures of my babies and my new house on line as well as the last cruise pix that I still haven't posted. Where does the time go?????

Please send the rain our way!!!! I think the last real rain that we got was from TS Gert. Was that a month ago? Seems like it's always raining in Florida! I keep Hollister FL in my weather page (that's where my sister lives now) and it seems like there's always rain in the forecast. I'll trade you my sunny 100 degree day for your slightly cooler rainy day. Deal????

Cindy, I remember when my 1st baby went to prek it was very tough on me! Now after 4, as soon as they are born, I am like, OK how long til Pre K?

Just curious, so anyone feel free to answer. Are there any requirements to be met in your respective school districts for your children to "qualify" for admittance to PRE-K? I ask because the area that I live in is literally 10 minutes from the TX-Mexico border and is predominantly Hispanic. ALOT of these people live well below the poverty level so in order for your child to "qualify" for PRE-K they either have to be considered low income or speak only Spanish. We are not "rich" by any means, but DH makes a good salary and Krystina speaks no Spanish. Sometimes I feel like she's the one that's being discriminated against because of these rules. Am I being silly? I have taught her so much here at home already so she doesn't need to go to PRE-K and I've been told I can have her tested for next school year to see if she can go straight to 1st Grade instead of Kinder. Would you all do that if you could? Just want some opinions from my extended Wonder "family".

I caught that too, but I couldn't come up w/ any thing witty to say. I did a double read on the sentence just to make sure I was reading it rghit.

Maybe my 9/3/06 cruise group will get bigger now that the big announcment has come through. I'm trying to stay upbeat for those who are joining this group instead of their initially scheduled one. I'd be pretty upset if my cruise got cancelled. I just hope those who got the bump will book soon so that they won't have to wait until '07 to book a comp cruise.

9/19ers We'll have to post our kids first day of school pictures so we can all oooh and ahh at 'em. Amanada01, you can even post a pic of your recent memeber of the family...Mason.

I'm making final touches to my VIRTUAL cruise thread. I hope to have it on the cruise meets board by tonight. I just can't stand every one traveling, but me! MY DH said just today he wished he was crusing right now. Sadly, I agree. I gotta hang on for one more year...one more year....one more year.....

NO pre-reqs here Leonor. Our ore k program is funded by the Georgia state lottery. They have Pre-K classes at all the elementary schools, and the child care centers. Personally, I would not let her skip K year. I do not know about TX, but here in GA the K-ers learn how to read. Unless you have worked really well with her on that, I would not do it. Even then, my DD was a few days shy of the age cutoff for K, (sept 1st and her nday is Sept 9th) and I always hated that she should really have started one year, but becasue of a few days was not able to start until the next year. well, once school actually started I was very glad that she did not start the previous year. She is always older then the other kids in her class, but she is where she needs to be, emotionally...make sense?
