Sept 19th,2004 revisited.....

giving this the ole bump! Surely we can't be the only people sailing this cruise? LOL

Count us in. Me, a co-worker and my granddaughter who will be 4. Looks like it's just going to be a two family cruise. We'll have the boat all to ourselves.

Sounds lovely ladypoo! Welcome aboard my ship! LOL I claimed it first!

HEY! I just noticed were are both in GA! WHere abouts are you?

We live and work in Valdosta, we are both nurses on the pediatric floor at our local hospital.

We went on a grown up only cruise last year to test the waters, before taking my granddaughter on her first cruise.

We are driving down the morning of the cruise. What about Ya'll?

That is great!!!! We are both working the night before, so we will get off and drive down. It is about a 3 hour drive from here.

Do Yall have any excursions planned yet? We are going to try and do the Parasailing on CC again. Our cruise last year didnt get to dock, so we want to try it again..

No no excursions planned, as we have a 7 day sailing to go on in November. I wasn't planning this sailing but I got such a great rate from AllSeas I couldn't pass it up! LOL We did the parasailing in October and it was great! I hope we get to dock at CC I hadn't even thought of that possibility! Yikes, how disappointed were y'all last year? I bet that stunk.
SO since you are not driving until the day of, what time do you expcet to be at port?
Jave you been to Atlantis? I was thinking about checking it out.

I can't believe as of this far we are the only 2 DISers that are going to be aboard this sailing! MAybe this is an indicatin of how full the ship will be? ( Wishfull thinking?LOL)

We only have that one excursion planned. We did the glass bottom boat tour in Oct when we were there last year. I dont think we are getting off the ship we we are in Nassau, unless to go to the Del Sol store.

I dont think we were as disappointed as much as some others. We didnt have any kids to entertain that day. They did get the characters out very quickly after the decision was made not to dock. We were woken up to the sound of the thrusters (sp) grinding while the captain was trying to dock and we were on the 7th deck.

We should be getting to the Port around noonish if all goes well. I sometimes get chills thinking about the drive down, but so far on our trips down, we havent had bad luck.

We did trial runs last year and made good time. Watched the Wonder leave one time and played with a manatee in the canal. We had a blast.

We havent seen Atlantis, I'm not for sure if we will or not. my granddaughter will be with us and she is only 4, Not for sure about leaving her for too long.

We have just booked for the 9-19-04 wonder cruise. We have about 15 people in our party. Lots of friends and extended family, most of us first time cruisers, all of us first time Disney cruisers. Looking so forward to it. In the immediate family we have me, dw, dd9, and dd5. Also in our party are two single unattached males, so if anyone knows of any single females going, maybe we can do some pre-cruise matchmaking ;)

Welcome aboard!!!!! Look forward to seeing all of ya guys. WE have several short trips planned to WDW prior to the cruise.
Are any of ya'll going to be staying in the Disney area after the cruise? We are trying to decide whether to make a short trip to WDW after the cruise.

We are going back to disney in December. My aunt rented a condo at the beach the week before we decided to cruise. So we will be there first week of August and will have to wait a few months to vacation again!!

Question...
I really did not like Nassau. We did not do any excursions, just walked around. What are the best excursions in Nassau, or is it better to spend all the excursion money on castaway cay. If so, whats the "don't miss" on castaway cay. This is only our second cruise, but my sis is coming, and I want her to have a blast! We both also scrapbook, so we love taking pictures. Appreciate any ideas!
