Hi Everyone.

I was wondering what the difference is between a Cat. 5 and a Cat. 6? The cabin we have assigned now is aft and my DP wants to be more midship...it's only $200 difference between the Cats and there seem to be more available cabins in the cat. 5. I know they are on deck 7 versus deck 6 or 5....but any other differences?

Good morning everyone,
Amy my prayers will be with you. I know how scary and painful dental surgery can be, I have done it too. Just remind yourself how good it will feel after its all healed up and your 100% again:thumbsup2

Love the Patriotic shirt, 15 minutes WOW! I can't sew at all:sad2: I hope your DD knows how lucky she is to have a mom who can sew.:goodvibes

Been busy here getting things ready for cruising with Mickey the end of the month. Going shopping saturday to get the rest of what we need, I hope!!

I have to drive 110 miles one way to any real shopping area , so for me this is a special event, also leaving the girls (pups) with a sitter for the day so they will be well cared for and will be exhausted and will sleep all evening after I pick them up because I will be tired too.

Have a great day everyone,
I'll check back later today to see whats happening here today popcorn::

The decks are the only difference. The rooms are the same.

:rotfl: I can't sew either! :rotfl: I printed them out as iron on transfers. :thumbsup2

Good idea, even I can do iron on transfers:rotfl2: although I did goof up a few of them when I first started doing them:rolleyes1

At least I can cook;)

Kathy

....I wont be on for a couple of weeks as we're off to see Mickey. So everyone have fun without me and I'll raise a glass :drinking1 on the Magic for you.

Have a great time!!!! I'll take any glass filled with a colorful beverage thanks! :rotfl:

Wow, so much happening, I'll try and not be away to much from now on!! We took our Precious back to school last week, so we were spending as much time as we could with her before she went back. I'm happy to report she was sniffing and smiling all the way and never looked back at us, it's sad but that's what we want out pups to do, look ahead, don't look back at the crying mom and dad. Now we're working with the new girl and she is so much fun! Quite the busy little handful and so so smart! Unfortunately we discovered she already has hip dysplasia, she will make someone a wonderful pet as we can't use her in our programs now. But we get the joy of her until she is called back.

Then I had company. We took her to Orlando to Texas de Brazil (if you love food you must go here!!!) and the Food and Wine festival. Sooo much fun!

And yesterday I had an atypical mole removed from my leg. Seems I get these every time I go in for a skin check these days. No sun for me any more.

Sorry to hear about the tooth problems and hope they can stop your pain soon. I had an abcess a couple of months ago and boy was that a nightmare!!

And sick babies are no fun, let alone two of them so I have the wee one are on the mend and give you a break!

We'll be dining with the Cpt. Hope we're on the same rotation, it was a lot of fun last time with all the pirates!

Wow, lots happening around the here. Welcome to all our new cruisers. I feel like a stranger here. Been a long time since I posted. To much stuff going around at home. Please bear with me while I catch up a bit.

We haven't booked any air yet. Can't this far out. I was just reasearching using a dummy date to see what was available. We are from Michigan and there isn't any flights to BCN without stopping at least once, so I'm trying to keep the stops and the cost to a minimum. It would be great if we could fill the plane with Disers :)

Annette
We are from Michigan too. Probably flying out of Detroit.

Thanks for the warm welcome. We haven't booked yet. We are struggling between the East and West repos. DH and I want the west because it will be our 10 year anniversary and we have never been to Europe or any of the Caribbean ports. We are struggling that the East would be better for our boys because it will be over spring break and late in the school year vs just beginning the school year. I think we will opt'd for West though. I like the idea of warmer weather, gaining hours and long flight over with first.

We really want a verandah room but are trying to decide if it's worth the extra 2K. I am thinking it might be for 14 days.

Our boys will be 9 and almost 6 when we cruise. I like the idea of there not being as many children on board but would like to have some for them to hang out with.
We have usually had verandahs when we cruise. In fact, I said I would never cruise without one but in order to do the PC cruise last August, we had to do a oceanview room. It was great. We shared our room with our DD so she had the most use of the window but we still didn't really miss having the verandah as we were on deck most of the time. I would save the $$.

Congrats on the house closing Sandi! We have had WAY fewer trick or treaters than last year, as well. Hmm--guess it's more candy for us to enjoy at the movies for the next few months. That's one reason I buy the "good stuff", only candy I like, like Peanut Butter Cups and Twix, lol.
Wow, Man after my own heart. My favorite is PB cups. I bought Tootsie Pops this year so I woudn't be tempted. Actually lost weight this week.

I've been on 8 cruises, only 2 were DCL. But I've only had a window once, that was last year's TA and I received a free upgrade. Otherwise I would have been inside then too. Yes it was nice to have the window, but not necessary. I'd much rather spend my money on excursions or Drinks of the Day!
I agree. Drinks of the Day, yumm!

Coke vs. Pepsi

I am die hard Diet Pepsi drinker.:yay: I could not go 24 days with out a pepsi. About 8 years ago I was a straight pepsi drinker and my sister got me to convert. I don't do the caffeine free(I need my espresso:surfweb: coffee and Diet Pepsi(I have brought Diet Pepsi on board ship in the past).

Karenpirate:

Have a great Monday!!!
I have severe Diet Pepsi withdrawl while cruising of course, I do make up for it with the DOTD.

ATTENTION ATTENTION

I know alot of you are already starting to wonder " How the heck am I going to get all this stuff across the pond with all these luggage restrictions:" IE fish extender gifts , Pirate costumes and so forth , well .. Let me tell you from experience , the lighter your bag , the more things you can pack ...Last TA we did we bought duffle bags , and these worked perfect .. they were tuff we were able to pack alot of stuff in there ...they lasted cause we used them also on the EBPC repo this year and they are somewhat cheap ... So if you are thinking about redoing your luggage you might wanna give these a shot ... They worked for us perfectly ... Here is a link

[
Oh and by the way ... we were able to stuff 5 of these under one bed in a cat 6 on the EBPC the almost fold down flat.. try to do that with 5 suit cases LOL ...so easy storage too

Hope this Helps
pirate:
Yeah, so we had 5 suitcases under our bed on the PC. It was a bit lumpy though. :rotfl: Have to think about the duffles.

My kids gave up on being embarassed by my dis and Disney obsessions.
My Florida house was DCL and disney in every room, my steering wheel cover and floor matts are Disney too. even in my RV I have a board with about 100 pins from cruises and WDW visits, 2 hats covered with pins too.
Most of my clothes have either cruise logos or disney characters on them.

One daughter asked if I was ever going to grow up a few years ago and I said, I hope not!!
Now she is hooked on DCL cruising and WDW vacations, so I asked her, arnt you ever going to grow up:lmao: She just smiled and said Now I understand

Kathy
It doesn't change. Our DD is 17 and thinks her parents are crazy. We do a lot of fun stuff now that she is older because we never went out when the kids were young because they didn't like babysitters. So we have more fun now than the kids.

Captain's of course!! AND we will probably dress for Pirate Night this time too...DH is pushing me on it so we'll have to figure out good (light!) costumes for both of us.
Yeah, the guilt is setting in around here too. I purchase a few patterns and am researching fabrics. Too bad I don't know anyone who sews.:rotfl2:

So... Secret Mickey like Hidden Mickey, right? (big aha)
and I agree with the Sweet Melissa--a sweeter girl can't be found...you're one lucky pirate.!
I totally agree.

Or as they are otherwise known - Disney's Cruise Line's very own Ken and Barbie!

(I make sure not to stand too close to either one of them or else I might be mistaken for the peon) ;) (you know I'm just kidding Cpt! We all love ya! OK most of us except for those that hate Cpt Jack! ;)

Later all!
Is that even possible? :confused3

Ha Ha Very not funny

Yes there be some traitors who dont like me aboard this trip ...I mean Capt Jack.....:lmao: but Always remember mates , the deepest circle of hell is reserved for betrayers and mutineers.

" Oh Look , ... Whats that over there ? " Nope , I mean Look , whats that over there .." :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

pirate:
:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao:

I've heard many stories from my mom about times when both my twin and I were sick at the same time when we were babies. I'm sure she feels your pain! I hope they are feeling better soon! On the same note, my twin has strep throat so I'm hoping she doesn't share it with me!
Our kids aren't twins but they had their tonsils and adnodes taken out on ther same day. Talk about a test of Mom's parenting skills.

DD's principal declared election day "Red, White and Blue" day at school. DD was so excited! This is how she showed her support for our great country!!!

I made her shirt about 15 minutes before she left for school. I had so much to do that day that I kind of forgot until that morning. It all worked out in the end though!
How cute. What a pretty young lady.

Okay, all caught up. I guess, I should go get some work done. I will try to stay in the loop now.

Have a great day!!!
:cheer2:

:rotfl2: Oh no! :scared1: Competition!

Ask anyone from the Sept 27 Double Dip...I could twist and spin statistics like no one's business!...

:lmao: Actually even though I'm good at math, I slept through statistics in college so I'll let you handle that one! :rolleyes1

OK - are you my long lost doppleganger? Too funny but admit it - doesn't it make us feel a bit better to know that we are "normal"? ;) I was seriously wondering if I would need to get some medical help for this. Now, thanks to you all, I'm ok - your ok - we're all nuts together!

something like that...

Well...it's been a long day for me.

Last week, I had a cavity filled in my tooth that is ALL of the way in the back of the left side of my mouth. Since then, I've had nothing but pain in it. I have literally been on pain killers every waking hour since I had the procedure. ...
...Well, I went in this morning for the catscan, I think they called it an I-Cat. It didn't take too long and from what she said, she and the doctor think it's a just a piece of bone/tooth (or whatever it is down there) left in my gums from when I had my wisdom teeth removed in 2002. It's now formed a cyst around it, so they are going to take it out on Monday also. It's better to get it all over with at one time than to do it twice, I guess! Just worried about the pain...

Thank you all so much for the kind words and concern. I really appreciate it. I'll keep you updated! :grouphug:

At least you know what it is now... that's something, right? I'll be thinking of you this weekend and Monday!

DD's principal declared election day "Red, White and Blue" day at school. DD was so excited! This is how she showed her support for our great country!!!

Stephanie, that is SO cute! I love to see when kids get involved in the patriotism of voting and try to see the importance of it even when they don't understand the politics. (And I probably wouldn't want to scare them with that yet anyway. )

Well...it's been a long day for me.

Last week, I had a cavity filled in my tooth that is ALL of the way in the back of the left side of my mouth. Since then, I've had nothing but pain in it. I have literally been on pain killers every waking hour since I had the procedure. So I couldn't take it anymore and called an oral surgeon. I went for a consultation late this afternoon. After showing me the x-rays, he said there is a shadowy area where my one wisdom tooth was located (I had the lower wisdom teeth removed in 2002). He said that it could be that the bone never grew back in the hole where the tooth was, a piece of tooth that was left in there or a cyst. I'm going to have a Cat-Scan tomorrow so in case it anything needs to be done, they can do it when I have the tooth removed on Monday.

So, after freaking out about everything, I had to work at the Disney Store tonight! I was in so much pain, that at one point I just stopped working (I was back stage processing shipment so it didn't matter too much) and all I really wanted to do was be at home.

I'm now at home, but I"m going to bed soon. I'm really scared about this possible cyst thing. I"m trying to be brave, but in reality, I'm freaking out about it.

Thanks for listening!

How awful! Keeping you in our prayers.

I don't know how you do it....I can't imagine having to let her move on. When I was little, my parents donated half their litter of Golden's to Guilding Eyes for the Blind in NY and that was hard. We all hated to let them go. I remember going to their gradutaion, and the pups remembering the families who raised them, and getting so excited. That bond was so strong.

We loved seeing your Precious around the ship on the WBTA and EBPC, she's a beautiful girl! At least you have new little ball of fur to keep you busy.

YIKES! Hang in there.

I had my last two wisdom teeth extracted this summer, and had no idea bone/tooth fragments can come back to haunt you years later.

Hey Laura - good to see you around!! You're going to put me to shame with costumes aren't you? We're planning on doing something super duper easy - probably pirate wench for me and deck hand for Pete unless I can figure out some easy costumes that I can do myself with my limited sewing skills.

If anyone watches Eleventh Hour look for Brooklyn tonight. She plays the daughter of the focus of the episode. She was only in 3 VERY short scenes. I am waiting patiently on the west coast but I have to wait another 4 1/2 hours! You never know what they will cut out with editing. Her "brother" played a larger role so I am not sure what of her you will actually get to see. Either way we are excited.

Same with us. We usually had verandahs too, but were perfectly happy taking the ocienview for the EBPC, because it got us on the ship.

Welcome aboard to all the new cruisers:cool1: :thumbsup2 :cheer2: :yay:

Holy cow, I'm behind. I've been trying to keep up but have 2 sick infants on my hands, and all sorts of other fun drama now

I caught a few things -- we're in Captain's dining. Then there was something about secret mickeys and cabin crawls.... are all these things going to be (or even already on) the website?

Missed you all! :goodvibes

Hope your kiddos are feeling better:goodvibes

Ask anyone from the Sept 27 Double Dip...I could twist and spin statistics like no one's business! You would be surprised at how many fun stats one can come up with! From how many kids of a certain gender and age to how many sets of twins we had to how many people from a particular state, country, or city! I had all I could have thought we wanted! Best part is that we used it all!

Kimberly was indeed amazing with our statistics and all of our other DD information:worship: :worship: :worship: Many of us printed out her first post to put in our itineraries!
