For those of you who have done the segway tour, if "someone" lacks grace, balance, and coordination, do you think "this person" would be capable of handling a segway?

I mean, this person CAN hula hoop, jump on a pogo stick, and ride a bike, but "someone's" husband is still embarrassed by her abysmal performance on an ATV tour of St. Kitts when she managed to run herself amok into the sugar cane fields and had to abandon her ATV and ride on the back of her husband's ATV instead.

Totally! I'm not all that coordinated, I have some movement issues. The only time there was a problem for me was when they took the segeways off slow so we could go as fast as we wanted. My wrists could not control the speed, so he just put the speed down for me and all was well again. I never lagged behind and no one had to wait for me, they just sped up and then looked around so by then I was up with them again.

Hey Bronwen, just wondering -is this Precious or another one? I forgot to ask you how long you have each dog. I may have asked you but I forgot. Is Precious gone on by now?

This is Precious, she was the one on the TA and the Repo PC cruise. We usually have them for 18 months, but she was being considered for breeding and they didn't call her back as quickly so right now she is 2 years old. She goes back to school on Oct 30th. Boooo hooooo!

Wow this thread moves!
Count us in for this cruise:thumbsup2 I still need to talk to my son's school about him missing 3 weeks of 2nd grade, but I think they will work with us for such an incredible experience. We'll be in cabin 6092.

Names: Dan, DW Cheryl, DS Daniel

So, how many people are doing a one week Euro vacation in front of this cruise?

Hey Capt. Thanks for the Cuban on the 5 night:thumbsup2 It was the best cigar I ever had:worship:

Welcome!!!!!!!

I like the teams idea. I started with the deck idea, but teams are good or what about each person get assigned 5 cabins. That way the individual person can think of something fun or something they want to do rather then running it by a team of people. Just an idea!!!

I can't remember who commented recently from Florida, not knowing what candy they could bring from their state. On a previous trip to WDW, we did a candy exchange and one of the FL friends had the cutest crocodile candies, that us non Floridians thought were really fun!

Dang it, now you spoiled my surprise!

for me it depends on just how many people are involved with the FE exchange.
I can't imagine bringing things for 100 staterooms, but if it was only 25, then Indivdual would be fine.

I have a feeling though with this many of us already, that Teams are going to be the way to go.

I think we had 160 on the EB PC cruise! Please god, we don't have that many this time!

I think I saw a special about Jungle Jim's on the Food Network a while back! It looks like a really neat place!!!

Really?! How cool! It's totally just one of the grocery stores I go to, so I forget that it's got souvenirs and people traveling from around the country to check it out! :rotfl:

DD will also be missing about 3 weeks of 2nd grade. However school starts in mid-August so all the "getting started" routine will be done. I think we are going to miss conference week though - oops! Our older two will be Soph & Jr's in HS though and there is no way they can miss school. They know that Gma and Gpa will be staying here with them. They're bummed about missing the trip but also understand that they just can't miss classes.

We have pulled the kids out of school in the past (a tagalong trip w/ DH's business trip to Italy, May 2007 TA, family obligations) and their elementary teachers agreed with our decisions each time. HS is different though. It just moves too quickly and too important to miss.

Hmmmm sounds like we should get a list of FE participants together on the website .... Would you like to be the one who gets that together ??? Or is someone else willing to Volunteer before we volunteer someone on our own ..:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I'm a rookie, but I'll totally do it if nobody else wants to! :thumbsup2

Actually, I looked it up ones in one of my weird facinations. Kinder is a German brand. The name Kinder is also used in the UK, Netherlands, Belgium etc. but it actually is a Ferrero product! Ferrero decided to use the name Kinder for the German market and it began to travel. So in the end, Kindereggs are an Italian product. Who would've known, italians and chocolate of all things!? :lmao:

Doing a chocolate swap? Well, take your pick folks! We've got something called Sinterklaas in the Netherlands, which we celebrate on december 5th (start off small about 3 weeks prior and have the big finishing on the 5th). One could compair it to Santa Claus. Actually; Santa Claus IS Sinterklaas. Anyhow, just like with christmas, Sinterklaas comes with his whole own set of candy, sweets, chocolate, biscuits, well...... anything one can eat! :yay: :woohoo: So, ofcourse I'll be bringing along Sinterklaas candy!

Oooh, do you know what is my FAVORITE treat by Kinder (actually Ferrero)?!

PENGUI! OMG, we used to be able to get these too, but now we can't. I could eat a whole pack before I could blink! :rotfl:

I can tell you, if I'm ever in your neck of the woods, my DF and I would be there to look at it! I love stores like that! :thumbsup2

I am happy to organize he FE lists. It might be easier if I am posting them on the website too. Just let me know what you all decide

I am pretty free this weekend. I can start adding all of that to the site today and tomorrow. I did my mom duty for hte weeking going ot the first showing of High School Musical 3 this am. It was adorable!

Also, can I get an updated list of DIS Names & First names to add to the site?

Let's take a vote on if we want to do "team gifts" or individual gifts.

It does make more sense for you to do it.... I vote individual gifts, but really don't mind either way! :thumbsup2

FYI, the new transporters (i2) are not controlled by wrists/hands, but just by balance/leaning..... I think they're easier, and definitely more intuitive! You should try them out, and you can check out a Segway "full speed" (13mph! :rotfl: )
