OK a little nervous about being out at sea for 5+ days, but we love DCL Magic sooo much that we are willing to give it a try. Anyone have any pointers for these "firsts" ?

OMG!!!!! You will love all of the sea days. That is exactly why we are taking this cruise. My entire family, kids especially, loved all of the sea days on our last 15 night cruise. When I told them how many sea days this cruise has, they went crazy! They are the BEST!:cool1:

We also loved the sea days. I finally learned to relax and just enjoy it. Not to mention changing my watch everyday and gaining an extra hour. The best part was spending time with my DIS friends. :thumbsup2

Hi Kathy,
My name is Amy and this will be my second (well, it maybe) Disney Cruise. The only way it won't be is if my DF (Dave) and I go on a cruise for our honeymoon. We're hoping to get married next October so we'll see if we can sneek a little cruise in there since I want to do at least a few days at WDW.

So, my DF and I were out at the PA Ren Faire today and had a great time! They have this pirate ship and inside of the pirate ship, they sell swords (both real and replicas) and other pirate merchandise. There was a flag with a skull on it and it had this saying about rum, and the first thing I did was think about this thread! :lmao: I thought I would remember what it said, but of course it has slipped my mind!

Hi Amy,
good to meet you. I think taking this crusie as your honeymoon is an excellant idea:goodvibes
Looking forward to getting to meet you over the next few months.

Kathy

Will,

1st trip to the world 10/18-10/25/03 off site, 1st Disney Cruise 4 nights 9/7-9/11/04,**2nd Disney Cruise/World ~ Trip 3nt cruise 6nt @ WDW (POP CENTURY) 9/1-9/10/05, USO/IOA 3/31-4/8/06 (Spring Break), Marriott S. Palms Beach Club Resort 1/12-1/16/07, Disney Magic Westbound Panama Canal Cruise 5/10-5/25/08

I used blue and dark red to each make entry stand out more. Just copy and paste and you will be good, I think. Other then the colour, all I did was take the hard returns out of each line.

Oh, good idea about the color (colour to you and our British friends) change....I'm gonna try that! :thumbsup2

HI KATHY!!!!

It's so Wonderful that we get to sail together again. You helped make my first cruise so fun - and I still giggle when I think about your DD's pink hair!!! (it was the Dec. 17(?) 2005 Western)
I love the long cruises - went on the 2007 WB Med Repo and the 2008 EB PC. My DH's first cruise was the EB PC - and he's hooked. He had me book this (and the Med 10 day prior) even though we're concerned re the economy/finances!
This time it will just be DH & I - timing isn't good for the DGKids and thus not for my DKids.
I will be fun getting to know everyone and share planning over the next 23 mos.

We also loved the sea days. I finally learned to relax and just enjoy it. Not to mention changing my watch everyday and gaining an extra hour. The best part was spending time with my DIS friends. :thumbsup2

Bev

I am looking forward t othose EXTRA hours going west. Loosing an hour nearly every nigth going East got exhausting after a few days:eek:

Hey all,

I have to go to a conference with work and leave tomorrow morning at 5:30AM. :headache:

I won't be back until Wednesday night, and I won't have any computer access :surfweb: until I get back.

Talk to you all then!
Julie

Time flies when you're having RUM ???????

ah, I see Kim beat me to it

Hi Chris,
wow this is like a family reunion to me, now I have found 2 people I have cruised with before on this cruise:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Her hair was hilarious. She was purple on the next crusie and a turquoise color to match her dress on formal night once too:lmao: :lmao:
I never know what she will look like when i see her:confused3 :rotfl2:

I cant wait to see you again.

It will be fun to chat with you while waiting for this awesome cruise!!!!!

Kathy
It will just be the 2 of us too, no kids or grandkids this time.

Cox is my internet provider and IE is my browser and I'm still not able to get on.

It may have to do with Cox's DNS servers , maybe :confused3 they may have not reset ...I will call them tomorrow if things dont change ....

Wow, I can't believe how many pages there are for this cruise already!

We're Joanne and Wayne; this will be our 4th cruise. Our last cruise was the supposed double dip at the beginning of September, which was reduced to one dip due to Hannah (but we did have one glorious day at CC!).

We've gtd a Cat. 7; no room # yet. This'll be a 37th anniversary trip for us and neither of us has ever been to Europe (and I've never been overseas at all), so this is a big trip for us.

Hope to get to know you all (I feel that, after 99 pages, I've got a LOT of catching up to do).

Next will be incorporating the new trip logo.....

email all your info to rollcall@transatlanicpirates.com to be added to the official roll call!

I'm FINALLY caught up on the thread's pages! Whew!

Thank you everyone for the "welcomes"! :goodvibes

...My cheerleaders actually have their first competition here in Rochester on Saturday and I am going to miss it because I have to be in Seattle .....

How did the girls do, Erik?

Yes, Kimberly knows what a "big roll that is to fill" because she was the one on our Double Dip to keep us all straight and she did a great job:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Maureen

You're too sweet, Maureen! Thank you! It was a rewarding roll for me and fun to find the many ways to report stats inside and out about our group!

Kimberly - so glad you are back on! I hope I can get some pictures of you with us this time around and you are feeling better.
....   So excited that you booked!!! This time we're going to spray you down before you get on the ship so you stay healthy!!! I think all the stress from the issues at home prior to the trip (things like no electricity, saying goodbye to $$ of food in your freezer, sleeping one place and trying to make it home for a couple of hours after work each day to do what you could do in the daylight, etc, etc :scared1: ) finally hit you when you relaxed on the ship.
Me too!!!

I'm putting Airborne in your FE the first day! :rotfl2: ...

I'll take it all, ladies! I will be doing every possible precaution to not be sick, too! I refuse to miss out on all the fun social time like I did a few weeks ago. I was just whipped every afternoon and after dinner (10:30 pm). I didn't even get up every morning to see the sun rise over the horizon....that's so not me when I cruise. One night my DM and DGM were out later than I was!!!!

Melodie, I never thought about it, but you might be right about all the stresses leading up to the Double Dip being a factor or even the culprit. I had a lot of other stresses on top of that as well that I was dealing with, so you're probably right!

Well the PC EB I think holds the record ... It would be hard to beat that considering we had a total of about 600+ DISer's and Family all together....

That's cool though! I was thrilled with our 473 DISers along with their friends and family on our Sept '08 Double Dip! It really did seem like we took over the ship! :woohoo:

I'm getting married on the Disney Wonder 5/22/09. We'll be in WDW 5/20 and probably a few days after the cruise since it's Memorial Day Weekend.

Bev :)

Oh, Bev! How exciting!!! :bride: Congratulations, and I'm looking forward to hearing about the details between now and then!

We have Cox High Speed here in SW Las Vegas and I have no problems accessing the site. It is on a PC though, so I don't know if it could be a combination of Apple/Cox

Well I can get on with my iphone on the 3g network , but through my wireless internet I cannot ... I try to figure it out tomorrow ...

and only the front page works on megaproxy ...
