I don't think there's a limit....but they get upset if you constantly bring your bottles into rockin bar d..unless you tip the waiter really well to bring the mixers for you! ;)

We brought two suitcases of alcohol and mixers on the PC cruise. We carried it onboard and not a peep out of the xray people. I know, sounds like we are lushes but after the bar bill for the last TA I didn't want to take out another second on my house. :)

Oh this was split among 4 adults AND we bought stuff in port too. We brought home I think 4 bottles of alcohol, tequila kinda things.

And I have to stay that the bar staff had a great affect on our drinking as well. If Rodolfo had been in the Cove we would have been sucking down his margaritas. The staff was nice but just not all that alcohol consuming pushing. I'm lazy, would have much rather just ordered a drink then go down a level and make one for myself!

Barcelona is awesome, so much to do. We arrived 3 days ahead of time and didn't even scratch the surface. I'm hoping to go back a week before, but we'll see. And if you want a totally different view of the city be sure to sign up for Barcelona Glides! It's a Segeway tour and you will learn soooooo much and have the best time doing it! We will be doing it again, it was a great tour. And if you've done them at WDW or DL you'll find out how fast they can REALLY go!!!!

Hi there! The girls and I decided to join DH for a quick business-type trip, and now I'm 30 pages behind! I post on a thread that used to move this quickly, but I'm totally out of practice! Alas, SEVERELY sleep deprived infants call, and I'm still a bit backlogged.... I hope you all are doing well! It's nice to see so many new "faces"! :teeth:

Brooklyn, thank you for maintaining such a fabulous website, hosting the graphics (and taking care to post .png fies!), etc. Now where is the flaming gif file? ;)

Sorry- it was the end of May one- the first double dip.

It's showing now!
I like that signature line... I just can't use it because it's so huge! But I really do like it!

Go big or go home right!!!!! :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao:

I agree! I wish the DIS would go back to 3 images or whatever per sig, instead of just cutting it off for length. If it helps things run smoothly that's great, I know..... but I miss being able to have a bit more freedom with the signature! :goodvibes:

Yes, I can. My cheerleaders actually have their first competition here in Rochester on Saturday and I am going to miss it because I have to be in Seattle for the next 8 days for a work conference! As long as the cruise is smooth we can learn cartwheels on deck. Cartwheels are not honestly the kind of thing that pose much of an injury risk if you teach them correctly. Now if anyone wants to learn back handsprings and back tucks on the ship....then we might be in trouble! :lmao:

I can help! :yay: I cheered in HS, college and competitively, and then coached varsity HS squads for a few years until fairly recently! I miss it! :)

LOVE MY Mac

v. cool!

I really like the new pic and like that princesses are included cause I am a princess at heart not a pirate :) I think it is excellent :)

Me too, although I've definitely been known to swoon for a pirate or two! ;)

I'm not sure when I'll be back on to catch up.... take care!

thought the Captain drank tequila...

"1 tequila, 2 tequila, 3 tequila, floor..."

:drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 :faint:

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

aww you be wise little one , but it would take a whole lot more the 3 tequila's for me to hit the floor ... Heck 3 isnt even an appetizer :lmao: :lmao: Just ask Monica when we were doing Tequila shots at 8:45 am in Acapulco waiting for the cliff divers ... Oh wait .. is there a pic ??? Hmmmmm

Thistle, couldnt agree more,
I'm a total newbie to the cruises and Dinsey but I've been to Barcelona before (football stadium, then on to Salou). Not sure about anyone else but you should def do the Barcelona Fountains. I went there on a Friday night earlier in the year and found it really amazing. The music and fountains looked real good especially when it got properly dark. I love spain though so probably a bit biased :-)

As for alcohol on cruises i'm hoping bringing rum on board is ok since DGF loves it lol although i think she's had too much tonight as we speak lol (midnight here at the mo, UK)

Arrrr Captain,
So what happens on these cruises then!!!?? Tequila at 8:45am sounds interesting lol

Here's my funny alcohol story. On the med cruise in 07 we arrived in palermo. I hadn't had time to go to the store in barcelona so after a morning of sightseeing, I deposit my daughter in kids club and took her princess backpack and headed out. Found a liquor store and stocked up on wine, vodka and whisky. Shoved it all in the princess backpack and headed back to the ship. I put it through the xray and they just looked and started laughing as the scan came up. Never seen a kids backpack used that way before. I told them, at least I didn't have my daughter carrying it!:rotfl2:

Needless to say, they had no concern over brining the alcohol on board.

That is a classic story! :lmao: :lmao:

I love this! I bought some Coffee Rum in Grand Cayman and carried it onboard in a yellow bag. I didn't even think about not being able to bring it onboard. :confused3 Good thing they didn't try and take it from me! :rotfl:

Tiffany

Did you try the coffee rum yet? Was it any good?

As far as entertainment is concerned, was John Charles on board for any of the other TA or PC cruises? We saw him on the Double Dip two weeks ago and he was great!

For the most part , we believe in a great Pirate tradition = What Happens on the Ship , Stays on the Ship ..= :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

lol that sounds fine. I don't want anyone telling stories of my attempts at dancing anywhere but onboard ship ! :-)

To be fair, i'd never thought of doing a cruise until my DGF suggested it. Never thought it could be so much fun. But now i can't wait, shame its 2010.

The excitement leading up to the cruise is half the fun! Plus getting to know your fellow cruisers makes the cruise even better! I miss so many of the people from the Double Dip!

I'm starting to understand that excitement DisneyGirl02. Me and DGF booked our holiday to WDW back in Feb and we go on the Sunday after next. I'm like a 5 year old right now lol Considering how i feel about the cruise right now i have nooooo idea how i'm gonna cope till 2010!!! I think i'm gonna have to drag DGF to Barcelona next year cause i can't wait till then. Plus learning Spanish at the mo so need to practice on some people.

DGF told me about the Double Dip, thats two trips to Castaway Quay?

Hello fellow disers! I will be on the Wonder on Sunday and I am thinking about booking one of the TAs for 2010 while on board. What made you pick this one? What will the weather be like? I like the ports on this one but, I am not sure about taking the kids out of school for 2 weeks. The kids get one week off in April so they would only miss one week on that one. Thanks for any imput!!:)

Have a wonderful trip to WDW!!!!! You'll have a great time!

The Double Dip was indeed two stops at Castaway Cay. It was very nice...must I must say I LOVE the sea days. :thumbsup2

Hi PJ! Maybe this cruise we'll actually get a chance to visit! :lmao:

Jackie, I have now discovered the adult areas of the ship and hopefullly will be far less shy. If you see me, smile and make me visit, lol.

Hey there we will be flying out of Toronto and booked through Disney the airfare was just under 1000 each for Travel to Barcelonia and from Orlando to Toronto including bus trips from port to Airport.

The Icelandair flight is $520, then transfers are $70 (approx) flight home $200 max, still a savings over Disney. And I don't want to be locked into a Disney hotel or taking a red eye flight. Might be fun, the Iceland airport is very small, under 20 gates, then it goes via Amsterdam to BCN. Also don't know if I can get away a day earlier and maybe sneak in a DLP visit with friends.:confused3

Stephaine, you are so cute!

You're such a lush!!!!

More WB repo'ers, woo hoo!

Weren't you on the Double Dip 06? Did we meet at the DIS meet? Did you do the tour of Walt's suite that trip???? That was a great cruise wasn't it???

Anyone one have a clue what the approximate cost would be for a overnight train from Paris to Barcelona (single adult), and could this be a option for arriving the day of the cruise, good/bad?
