Lets see the flight DCL chose for use has a rating of

1.6 out of 5 meaning overall rating

FlightStats Rating is a merit measurement considering both on-time performance and delay severity. The score, 1.6, shows that this flight has on-time performance characteristics better than 31% of all other flights in the FlightStats database.

2.1 out of 5 for on time performance

This flight has an on-time performance of 76%. Statistically, when controlling for sample size, this flight has on-time performance characteristics better than 42% of other flights.

1.1 out of 5 for daily performance

This flight has an average delay of 35.0 minutes with a standard deviation of 47.9 minutes. Statistically, when controlling for sample size, standard deviation, and mean, this flight has delay performance characteristics better than 21% of other flights

But the good news this flight has never been cancelled. I am sure that some bad flights brought the number down.

But nothing was delayed longer the 175 minutes so we should be to the ship in more than enough time cause we are scheduled to arrive at 7:25am so no worries

Good luck with the flight. Statistics will mean nothing once you're there I'll look for you at the DIS meet a week tomorrow!

Richard

In one week exactly, we will finally be on our way to Barcelona, along with Hoagie Pie and FashionistaGirl. There's one more, too, but part 4 of 4 of the flights are still under construction and I can't remember who was a late add on to our flight.

I'm really bummed we won't get there til after this is over :sad1: I shall feel like the new girl at school! :sad1:

Mandy, we can be new kids together (although, truthfully, the last time I was a real kid was a loooooong time ago).

What exactly is "airborne" ??

It's an OTC concoction supposedly created by a teacher that purportedly prevents you from picking up airborne infections, particularly on planes. I've seen both pros and cons on this. You can check it out on Amazon. If you would like me to pick up some for you, let me know; I'd be happy to do so.

I will be updating it on the weekend with the tastings and the tour if a time has been decided?

I am hoping that I will have the timing for workshop 1 finalized by tomorrow evening. I will let you know once I know for sure what is happening with this.

Thanks, I will try to get to Guest Services early and sign up. I did the Theater Backstage Tour last time also...it was really nice.

On Erik and Jason's blog, he posted pictures of what they received but I think it is for the Gold Members. They got "a bag, two really nice metal souvenir water bottles, two rice krispy treats in the shape of flip flops and a DCL keychain...PLUS a new zipping leather wallet/credit card holder, set of DCL postcards and luggage strap".....so maybe the Silver will get a bag also.

On our last two cruises we got a round drawstring bag, two metal Castaway Club sports bottles, the rice crispy treats and a keychain. We are silver members.

I managed to get a dental appointment for this morning and was even luckier that I was seen by my own dentist. Normally if you need an emergency appointment, you see whoever is free. I am terrified of the dentist, but kind of like my dentist. The tooth is fixed and all is well again.

When I was on the train on my way to the dentist, the spa that I was supposed to go to this evening rang. The machine that they use to heat the stones for the hot stone massage broke and they had to cancel my appointment. They wanted to reschedule it for early next week, but there is no way I can fit this in before the cruise. This actually turned out to be a blessing in disguise. I had a full day anyway and with the unscheduled visit to the dentist, this would have been manic.

I did make it into town today. I managed to get another swimsuit with the gift card that I found and some mentionables. I also stopped by a shoe shop to try on some shoes that I consider getting for the vow renewal and those shoes caught my eyes:

1365028260_main.jpg

I think they are perfect for Pirate Night. They are really light, comfortable and were dirt cheap.

Of course with that my good intentions regarding shoes have gone out of the window. I was only going to bring 3 pairs of shoes: my running shoes, a pair of Crocs and my heeled velvet Crocs for the evenings. Suddenly I have acquired a pair of flip flops and some fancy shoes for Pirate night. I don't know how that happened.

I had a productive day and my "To Do" list looks a lot more manageable and my bedroom looks like a bedroom again. I ordered the stuff to replace the missing kits. Fortunately it is only one package with three kits that is still missing. The rest has now arrived. I but the kits together as far as I could and did the same for my demo kits as well. Once the stuff that I am missing arrives, it will be really quick to finish the kits off.

I seem to be the queen of half done jobs at the moment. I got ID, left over currency and all the confirmations sorted, but will need to add the passports and tickets nearer the time. I have started to sort out the chargers and adapters, but kind of ran out of steam. Still, apart from the actual packing I can finish off most things within minutes if needed.

I should be ok thanks .... my long flight is on the way home and I am not too bothered if I pick something up then. I am already taking so many things I must rattle !!

Attention Jewellery Making People

There seems to be a misunderstanding at the moment. Workshops 2, 3 and 4 will go ahead as planned.

The only workshop that needs rescheduling is Workshop 1 and all the people affected by this should have received a PM from me this morning. About half have responded to me already. If you have not done so already, could you please let me know your preference as soon as possible. I need to finalize this tomorrow when I get back from work so that Sarah can add the correct information to the final version of the Navigator.

So glad you got the dentist issues taken care of!

Cute shoes. I think I might bring a pair of sandals I bought in Key West for pirate night. DH is going to kill me when he sees how many pairs of shoes I want to bring :scared1:. I guess it'll depend on the room I have in my bag. I was going to bring 2 pairs of dressy thongs sandals w/little heels, but finally found a pair of blingy sandals that are cute and, gasp, comfortable. Epic win!!

If you change your mind, just lmk; it's no problem.

Another thread on the cruise board that I hang out in was just closed at 268 pages. Maybe it is our turn next.

How did the dentist go? Was it ok or did it take ages, is it tempory? I could never have got anything so quick and easy from my dentist.

So pleased you managed to get in at the dentist and get sorted. :thumbsup2

Love those pirate shoes pirate:pirate:pirate:pirate:

I am going way over board on the shoe front .... so far I have:

black formal sandals
black wedges
cream wedges
silver wedges
running shoes
beach shoes
water shoes
everyday sandals
pirate boots

may have to whittle them down a bit yet :scared1::scared1::scared1:

How did the dentist go?

The dentist appointment went very well. Considering how much pain I was in over night and the chunk of tooth I was missing, I was expecting that either I would need another inlay (which would have meant temporary filling until after the cruise) or he would just rip it out. I managed to get away with a normal filling and he finished the job straightaway so I don't need to get back until my next check up.

I am incredibly lucky with my dentist. I could not find an NHS dentist in Manchester for love nor money. I ended up registering with a dentist in Macclesfield. Graham used to work in Macclesfield one day a week and signed up with them. I then decided to register with them as well. If I can get on a high-speed train, Macclesfield is only 20 minutes away. My dental surgery specialize in cosmetic dentistry, but have started a little while ago to take NHS patients. I get the same standard of care just that the materials they use for NHS work is different then what they use for private patients.

Up to recently shoes were a necessary evil. I have very wide feet and find it tough to get shoes that fit. Even Clarks Shoes do not usually fit me. A couple of month ago, somebody introduced me to Irregular Choice shoes. To my immense surprise a lot of them fit me and they are just so quirky and fun. At the moment I am lusting after this pair:

They would be perfect for the vow renewal, fit wonderfully and are really comfortable.
