Tomorrow is my doctor appt. and I hope I get wonderful news like Dennis. I will keep everyone posted because you have all been so kind with your input and experience - greatly appreciated.

Sandy - Looks like Brent has been promoted to Entertainment Director and will be based out of Celebration. However, before be takes over that position totally, he is expected back on the Magic (not exactly sure when) until about December and then will spend a bit of time on the Dream before he goes to Celebration. There is a thread on the main board with someone passing on this information after a conversation with Yolande. Maybe once he gets on land, they can start a family.

Lastly, my thoughts and prayers will be with you tomorrow. Good luck on your appointment and we'll be awaiting good news!

Eye surgery went very well - as we knew it would!! Dennis was released an hour after surgery and we stopped by friends' house for coffee for an hour or so. Now we are home and he is napping. Thank you all for the good thoughts and prayers this morning.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts. The timing is unfortunate, my Aunt and Uncle lived in Hong Kong for several years, so they have numerous close friends there. So in order to give anyone time to travel the funeral is most likely going to be Friday, which is the day we fly out. Not the way we wanted to start this trip but, I am happy to know that she is now with my grandpa, grandma, and cousin (her daughter who was killed in a car accident several years ago)

U all are chatty as always...but gratefully I'm not a million pages behind..only had to catch up with about 10 on lunch break.

As a general announcement----I thought I'd let you know (I didn't see anyone post about it here on the boards but I might have missed it skimming) that I got a PM this morning from "Sue L"----because of an ankle injury, she and her husband are NOT going to be able to cruise with us. She wanted to let me know that she wouldn't need her lanyards----which ended up being serendipitous for DizzneyDAnn and her husband who wanted lanyards but were late to the game....and so now I was able to give them lanyards!! I mention this because if Sue L is listed on any other lists like FE exchange, secret mickey, tastings, etc. then the organizers should make sure to pull her off. (Note: I still have a couple people on my "waiting list" who joined us late after all the lanyards were gone....but I am still thinking there are at least 3 people on my list who will not actually be on the cruise----figment795, tigger795 & KAP158 have still not responded to any PMs or emails...so we'll see if they materialize...if not, then the lanyards I have reserved for them will go to the next folks "in line" for lanyards)

(Also, has anyone heard from kcashner? I have sent a few PMs to her and still no reply and no room # for her. Anyone know her room #? Or if she is even cruising with us still?)

I heard from Sue last week as well. Hate to see that she had to drop. I think she broke her ankle when Stephen was dealing with his broken foot. Anyway, I removed her from tastings (which took in some of the wait listed folks - you should have gotten a PM from me if your number came up). I didn't have her on FE lists.

Well done on packing! If all goes well, I will have us packed up about 4 days early.

Here ya go! Getting close to end of time that you can mail out first class!! 10 days plus customs from Atlanta. Concierge contacted me today to get who I addressed my package to so they can watch for it! So excited that I can't stop smiling now!!! Practically wiggling out of my seat while watching Becca tumble at the gym!!

Ya know when you are on the Magiv and you meet wonderful CM's, and you think, these people are wonderful?

Well, on our first DCL trip we met a bar server - Victor form Chile. He took very good care of our party of 17 people. We did the whole comment card about him, and sent in an additional letter that mentioned him as well. In addition we had Maricar for the Philippeans as our stateroom hostess, and did the comment cards nd letters for her as well.

They were both wonderful, and we thought of them when we booked our trip for last September. We boarded last year and someone said welcome back to us and we didn't think twice, said thank you and kept on going. Well, that was Victor! Later that day we saw Maricar who laughed and hugged the kids, commented on how much they had grown. It was like seeing family that you hadn't seen for years...

Well, this afternoon I logged into FB and noticed a chat window had opened. It was Victor telling me happy birthday. It isn't like he is trying to get a head start on a tip - he is on the Wonder! He logged on at sea and happened to notice it was my birthday and took the time to chat with me. I so wish that we would be seeing him, but he is getting off the Wonder next week and going on vacation. I completely forgot to ask if he is getting on the Dream or back on the Magic!

I'm telling you, this is why I LOVE Disney!! The people do it for me!!

If you wanted to attend, and we had already filled the seats; you have a couple of options. I do have a waiting list with 3 names on it. I could add you to the list in case we have openings. I will try to keep the tea as filled as possible!

When we board the Magic, you could go to Rocking Bar D (I think) when we board the Magic where they are taking Palo reservations and try to book the same date and time of the Ladies Tea. (please let me know if you are able to do that. Room 7622 Kathy Allen Thanks!)

Steffy, where did you get that insurance? We really want to get that too. My sister's DMIL had a massive stroke in Italy and it cost them over $25,000 to fly her home since she didn't have the insurance. Don't want to make the same mistake.

I love that story and you are right - that is what makes Disney so special. We had a great state room host years ago, Rodolfo. He is still on the Magic, and he recognizes Abby before we recognize him and always gives her a hug.

Sue, I so agree with you!!! On our first cruise on the Wonder, I remember a server in one of the dining rooms was very cold and I could hear her gripe about everything. Well, the next year, there she was again, I went up to her and said hello and gave her a big hug. That turned her around and she was so helpful with Stephanie and I after that. It just goes to show that they need recognition or cudos to know they are worth it.

I know exactly what you mean! There are CMs like that for us as well. Daniello worked at Cove Cafe for a couple of years and we just loved him. He calls Dennis "my brother" and taught Dennis a bit of Tagalag (sp?) each time. He was a server on our last cruise and so was quite busy, but not too busy to stop and give hugs. And our first cruise...2 young women in Sessions treated us SO nice. Goy from Thailand and Paula from Chili. They even sent a bottle of French wine to our stateroom the last night! I'm sure that cost them more than the tips we gave them!! This was a cruise that was sailing about half full and often we were the only ones in Sessions and we so enjoyed having them stay by our table and visit with us. Then a couple of years ago we met Sondra from France, again in Sessions. It was her first trip, first time away from home. She was such a sweet girl and really missed her mama. She said although she loved it, she did not think she could sign up for another contract. The last night of the cruise she gave us a small bag and told us to open it in our room and that we would "understand what it meant". It was a Romeo e Julietta cigar that she had purchased. What wonderful memories they have given us!!
