I just read on the main board that Brent isn't on the Magic right now. He's apparently taking some time off. Will be back for a short while in December and then on the Dream for a couple of months before becoming
DCL Entertainment Director in Celebration.

That does not sound good. If he is not on the ship during the Transatlantic, then I hope we will get Clayton and not Peter. Two weeks of Peter is really more than I can bear.
This is the post from the main board. It says Brent will be returning to the Magic soon. Who knows what that means?
Brent update
Hi everyone -
We just got off the Magic what a wonderful trip it was!!! Brent was missing and he sure was missed. Peter just wasn't the same... Anyway, on our last morning, we got to talking to Yolande and asked her what the true story with Brent was, as we kept getting different stories. We figured if anyone knew the truth it was her!!!! ANYWAY... Brent will be returning to the Magic soon and stay on until Dec and then is off for a bit and then will be on the Dream for some of Jan and all of Feb and is then moving to be head of DCL entertainment in Celebration. It looks like Brent's Cruise Directors days are definitely numbered!!!! I'll for sure miss him, but I think in the end this will be better for him and Yolande to start a family.

Thanks for posting this. I suppose there is hope yet that Brent might be back on board in time for the Transatlantic.
Well, our flight home from Orlando was going to be PERFECT! Got to spend a good chunk of the day wandering around F&W before we headed to MCO for the flight to Mexico City.
Well, last Friday Mexicana Airlines ceased operations. Yup, went bankrupt! OY!
Much scrambling this morning - as we really thought we were on AeroMexico -to grab another flight at a decent fare. We did grab AeroMexico this time. Not the best fare but not horrible either. At least it's a nonstop flight from MCO to MEX!
Finally got around to prepaying the Praktik Rambla, too! Got the Euro for $1.27US so not horrible.
Michael
I am sorry that you had to deal with this with so little time before the vacation. I am glad that you managed to get it sorted though.
Eye surgery went very well - as we knew it would!! Dennis was released an hour after surgery and we stopped by friends' house for coffee for an hour or so. Now we are home and he is napping. Thank you all for the good thoughts and prayers this morning.
I am glad that everything went well.
Updates on Hurricane Earl:
From Bernard at Bernard Tours on St Maarten:
as you know we got hit by hurricane earl yesterday and today, some part of the island is without power, some roof took off, but we should be back to normal in the next 24 hrs..
Bernard..
I am so out of the loop. I did not even know that there was a hurricane out there. I am glad that St Maarten was not badly affected.
Howdy all!

I have sent you a PM regarding the waitlist.

Thanks for posting the link. I have bookmarked it and will check it every few days. I can't wait to hear what you think about the Med cruise.
I am nearly caught up.
Jon, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Sue, I wish you a belated happy birthday.
There are still 7 packages with jewellery making kits that are somewhere out there. 4 are headed to the USA and all three that were sent to Canada are still MIA. I am hoping that they may arrive today. Please let me know once you got them.
I am doing well with my to do list and I am actually slightly ahead of the game. The first two lots of Fish Extender gifts have been sorted and packed and I am well on the way with the final gift. All the ones for the DIS have been done and I am more than half way with the Cruise Critics ones as well. Of course, I just noticed that I forgot to add the cards to them so I have to open them up again and add the cards, but that should not take me long. Tomorrow, I will sort out all the Secret Mickey gifts and then I am done as far as what needs to be shipped to Barcelona. I will head out shortly to try and get a box. I am going to use DHL to ship the stuff and for their cheapest service, they will actually come and get it. I will just schedule a pick up for Friday and have it picked up from work. I am on a late again on Friday, but I can just bring it in on Thursday and leave it with one of the secretaries just in case they come to collect it on Friday morning.
I got my eBooks all sorted and the Reader is synchronizing as I type this. I got some books for the Med cruise that I never got around to reading ("World Without End" by Ken Follett, "Tea Time for the Traditionally Built" by Alexander McCall Smith, "61 Hours" by Lee Child, "Burn Marks" by Sara Paretsky, "Angels and Demons" by Dan Brown and "Cruel and Unusual" and "The Body Farm" by Patricia Cornwell). Specifically for this vacation I got "9th Judgement" by James Patterson, "The Burning Wire" by Jefferey Deaver, "The Chosen One" by Sam Bourne, "The Hidden Magic of Walt Disney World" by Susan Veness (for our post cruise stay), "The Ice Cream Girls" by Dorothy Koomson, "The Killing Place" by Tess Gerritsen and "The Angel's Game" and "The Shadow of the Wind" by Carlos Ruiz Zafon. I admit that 15 books might be a bit much even for me as some of them are quite long ones as well, but the beauty is that the Reader takes up the same room whether it contains 1 book or 50. At least this way I have something to read for whatever my mood is.
I had a bit of problem with the two Carlos Ruiz Zafon books. Even though I searched for eBooks, I somehow managed to order them as paperbacks. I only noticed this when they were not on my download list. I reordered them as eBooks and as soon as the paperbacks get here, I take them back to the book store in town. They accept returns at their stores and I got free shipping as well, so there is really nothing lost.
Right, I better get going. So much to do and so little time to do it in.
