Well I am so pleased. Normally for me to get a bathing suit that looks any where half decent on me I have to go on a few day's shopping trips and try on loads. This time I have been brave and ordered online at 2 different online stores, just one suit each shop, and they both fit and look pretty good too, for me anyway. So, I'm :) about that. They are both skirted suits so perhaps that makes a difference.

Wish I could say the same for my bra hunt though.:rotfl2::rotfl2: Plus I haven't embarked on the shapewear trek. Could keep me busy till we leave.;)

Well done Marilyn!

That's a great result, Marilyn! :thumbsup2 I have a lot of trouble getting swimwear to fit. I'm a tankini girl - with board shorts over the top!!! I keep it all under wraps!!! :lmao:

I'll keep my fingers crossed you find what you need.

Jason and I got up early today.....I am DONE with cheerleading until after the cruise (HOORAY!!) so I actually have this weekend to myself....and we made our masks for villain night masquerade ball. They're quite fun if I do say so myself....we are putting the final touches on our door magnets (and we're going to have like 50 total ourselves----although most of them are laminated pieces of paper with a very thin weak magnet less than inch square in each corner----so I'm hoping we won't have issues flying with them...we've always made tons of magnets for trips before and carried them without incident).
Look forward to seeing your masks... And your magnets!!! :worship:

It's 10am and I have my hair appt at noon, too....so in just a few hours I will have no more hair!!:scared1:
Good luck - you are brave!!! :goodvibes I had 8" cut off my hair a few weeks ago and, even tho' I know it'll grow, I miss it...

Wel doen on your swimwear Marilyn, that's another job sorted!:goodvibes

I also think that Mimosa's are 2 for 1 at the bar by the adult pool before midday - I like me 2 pre-midday Mimosas... :lovestruc

I'm right there with you Kaz...just read thos out to Mark and he just sighed and rolled his eyes......:rotfl2:

Good for you!!! :cool1: I'm almost sorted with FEs and my toiletries. Feeling quietly confident. Probably a mistake... ;)

Thats just what I keep thinking....:rolleyes1

My DS, Samuel was supposed to be playing there this year in one of the outlying tents BUT he and his band had creative differences earlier in the year and split. He doesn't seem himself today - I wonder if that's why..? Oh the joy of being 17...

Oh that's too bad! Poor Samuel:sad2:

LOL! We were meant to go to the Rewind Festival this weekend in Henley. I think we made a good decision last month selling the tickets! Even with the dry day today for most of the UK, the ground is going to be so wet and the thought of camping in that doesn't appeal!

lol we had tickets for Reading too and sold them as we thought the moeny would be better spent on our cruise!:cool1: We were pretty glad when we saw the rain this week! Besides...we can hear it from here anyway!:thumbsup2

Tankinis are great! :thumbsup2 Although one time I did get one very burnt strip of skin on my stomach where I was laid stretched out on the lounger and the tankini had ridden up a little........

I'll keep my fingers crossed you find what you need.

I really should keep all my bits under wraps too, but have got to the stage where I just think..."oh well, look at something else if you don't like what you see".......:rotfl2: At least, that's what I try and tell myself......:rolleyes1

I would like tankinis if the tops were longer, but not a good look on me the way they are.

Thanks, the bra situation always stresses me!!!:rolleyes1

I'll see you there then, Mandy - I'll be the one with an even number of empty flutes on her table... :goodvibes ::yes:: ;)

You go, girl!!! :thumbsup2 That's exactly the right attitude...

IKWYM. I had surgery 5 years ago and can't wear normal bras. For ages I relied on sports bras but have recently discovered a range of supportive camis that are perfect. I spent a fortune on several recently - but at least I know they work and will last for years...

Definately better spent!

good morning all! Now you all have me concerned about fish extender groups! I hope there haven't been any changes to Kiwi since ours are all made and packed already!! :thumbsup2

Great idea about laminating the paper with thin magnets. I never thought about doing that. For my Dis wedding, I made alot of door magnets and some of the magnets jammed my printer and weren't sized right. Not to mention how heavy all the magnets were. :surfweb: I love reading these posts - not only to get to know people - but great ideas too.

Oh that is good Karen. Well, not the surgery of course. Wish something like the camis would work for me.

Sue - I feel so bad that you might think I was critizing all the wonderful work you and Glenn have done on the sites. I really wasn't! It is just I had believed I had seen updates to the FE lists, with cabin numbers and thought the site was acting up. A number of us noticed the site was unresponsive yesterday and we received an odd message from the webmaster. We so appreciate all you have both done in addition to getting ready for your cruise, working and keeping your up with your families daily needs. val

No, its all good - just hectic last few weeks here, and I am a bir stressed. Didn't mean to sound whiney!

If someone who has a 1st/2nd page post could add this url for the ical calendar file, that would be great.

You can view/subscribe to the calendar at:
http://ical.me.com/pdegeer/WBTA ACTIVITIES
To learn more about iCal, go to http://www.apple.com/ical

If you use Google calendar, here is a method for using an ical file in google calendar;
To add a calendar using its address, follow these steps:
1. At the bottom of the calendar list on the left, click the Add down-arrow button and select Add by URL.
2. Find the address of the Google Calendar in iCalendar format, or if you have the iCalendar address of a calendar from a different application (for example, Apple's iCal), you can use this as well.
3. Enter the address in the field provided.
4. Click Add Calendar. The calendar will appear in the Other Calendars section of the calendar list to the left.

Awesome - thanks!!

I have been unable to verify if the gym will be opened or closed while we are sailing. I read a rumor on here and wonder if anyone was able to verify it?

Is anyone shipping anything over? I was considering shipping it o the hotel. Any thoughts?

I think the gym will be open! It was just a Scottish roumor... :)

I shipped a package to the ship 2 weeks ago - and may ship another package on Monday. USPS is saying 10 days to get it there first class, from Atlanta.

I've been using the Kindle for Blackberry application for several months. My DH finally took pity on my, and ordered me the newest Kindle for my birthday. It hasn't shipped yet but we're hopeful it will still arrive before the cruise!

I use the iPod app as well as my kindle, love that they synch! And I love that I can sit in the sun and read...

Just wanted to share a slideshow of the 2008 EBPC cruise from LA to Orlando.

That TOAL (Trip of a Lifetime) as we nicknamed it had a similar feel to this thread. Many of us connected and have remained friends over time. Some of us on this cruise are on here, Monica, Me, Paula, Cpt, just to name a few. I challenge you to look for any familiar faces. Its long but I believe we will have the same "Magic" pixiedust: on this cruise.

Let's hope it works.

WPBC 2008 Part 2 Slideshow

Hallelujah - its worked! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

A big thanks to Kimberly for giving this techno geek instructions!

 For those that don't know me - DH (Steve) and I open the show. Thanks Mike!

Awesome - thanks for sharing!! Now I am plotting about making something like this in addition to my digital scrapbook.

Ok, you all have me worried about the Strawberry FE group. I haven't done all the comparing that others have done. I pulled my information from Sue's FE post. Is that not correct? :confused3

Sit tight - I will be posting about the strawberry group in a moment.

I am confused.. I'm in the Strawberry FE exchange and have 13 staterooms listed (including myself) all with numbers...

That's good news! Sending plenty of PD for your continued recovery... pixiedust:

Sit tight - I will be posting about the strawberry group in a moment.

PLEASE MY NEXT POST FOR STRAWBERRY FE GROUP INSTRUCTIONS!!!

Congrats on your new status, Andrea!!! :goodvibes

That's the same info as I've been using, Monica. The only exception is that Tink Rules/Queen Mum aren't joining us.

I haven't got Poohbear926 on my list so would appreciate those details... :thumbsup2

ETA: I've done a little research and found this:
Poohbear926: Stateroom #7134. Lindsay & Mum, Bev.

Also I did notice that DizzneyDAnn wanted to join in the FE - that would take the Strawberry group up to a perfect 15... :thumbsup2

PLEASE STOP THE MADNESS!! I have been in contact with KrisannB as she is the strawberry FE orgnizer. As she is out of town, I will take this over and confirm the grouping.

I have a feeling they are along with Bloody Mary's

I just have three words on this!! SIGN ME UP

good morning all! Now you all have me concerned about fish extender groups! I hope there haven't been any changes to Kiwi since ours are all made and packed already!! :thumbsup2

The original groups have NOT changes - so no worries!!

Good luck on the haircut!!

I'm so excited and so not ready. Today I must find a tiara, reorder a MMC shirt, get over the sticker shock of the patches that I had the doctor order justin case:scared1::scared1:, pack my carryon, iron on my transfers, make up gift tags for my fe, decide on a final packing list, finish my daily clothes spreadsheet, and find my golden ears! I sure hope I didn't leave them in my owners locker!!!

Happy Saturday!! See you all in 3 weeks!!:dance3::dance3::dance3:
I know, its a good kinda scary meeting everybody though isnt it?:goodvibes
Thanks so much - so useful!

Cool idea - I wonder if it will be a nice enough mug for a souvie? I do love my coffee and those little dinky mugs are too small. I even bought Starbucks Via coffee to add to the room service coffee which is too weak for us.

Thanks so much!

Isn't it great? I really need to get packing. Everything is sat exactly where I left it two weeks ago. Maybe today! Unfortunately work is full-tilt right now - I'm finally off-call 3 days before we leave. Until then it's full days and some nights, 7 days a week. It's a good thing I love my job.

Tru is moving in 3 days! We are so excited, but poor her. She's understandably stressed and busy. Today she's heading over with some plants to transplant from her garden (which is absolutely gorgeous, complete with koi pond, vegetable garden, and beautiful over-the-top roses and other flowers). Her new house ---> will need her green thumb in the worst way. Please send her nice, calming thoughts to help her on her journey. I know she'll be missing my Dad something fierce over the next few days - they were a real romance couple. He only died coming up on 4 years ago this fall.

Pretty soon we'll all be meeting each other face to face - eek! Looking forward to it, really, just need to swallow my nervousness and jump in, right?

Gotta run to down the rest of my cappucino and start cleaning up so keep up the charade with my mom that we aren't total slobs in her absence.
:thumbsup2 Im jumping thats for sure, Im so excited.

Thats brilliant:thumbsup2 I had a spare hour in edinburgh today and went to bhs, I got a few tops and bottoms, they dont match but as long as I dont "fall out" I dont care.

Before and after pics,:lmao: actually, dont worry we will see in 3 weeks, i must mind len to do his again next week, so its not so short when we go.

How supportive? as in size 12 bottoms ,size 18 top supportive Karen, Im always looking for stuff like that without luck.

Trying to get this straight, as the group was marked as closed 2 weeks ago.

Current members of the Strawberry FE list:
  1. Candyapple
  2. cquick
  3. CustardTart
  4. epcot1stfave
  5. Fishoutofwater
  6. ftmill
  7. goiu
  8. got2travel
  9. grlzmom
  10. KrisannB
  11. sezmo
  12. TinkRules/Queen Mum
  13. tweety0227
  14. Valbob89
I know that "TinkRules/Queen Mum" so that makes 13 on the list. As peopel have been making FE gifts for 14, I have one slot that is open - unless EVERYONE in the groups is willing to do more.

According to Krisann DISer mickeymom923 has been on the wait list for a spot in the group. So, based on that I am adding her to the group.

I understand that there are 2 others that also want to join in - DizneyDeann and Poohbear926. To add these 2 I need a PM from EVERY Strawberry member that they are good with the group growing to 16. I am not trying to be a pain - but the group was closed out and people are making their FE gifts. It is not fair to those folks to just grow the group. Not to mention that some folks are going over early. I really do understand that people just joined or re joined, but we had to put deadlines in and unless the entire group is OK with the expansion, then we have to hold at the 14 it was closed out at. Make sense? SO, ALL YOU STRAWBWERRY FE FOLKS - PM ME ASAP so I can wrap this up!

I also bought a little sundress thingy that will be nice for lunch time and another black dress with flowers, not my normal thing, but its nice, maybe a tad too big, I will keep it for second week of the cruise:rotfl:
If your reading Leny I promise they were really, really, really cheap:lmao:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: I have some loose waist trousers I am thinking of packing for the second week and travelling home!!! Well, we have 17 days after the cruise too, so I will definitely need them.;)

Finally popping back in after months being off the boards and NO I didn't even lurk. My little birdie would call me on the phone. It feels like it is going to take forever for the date and day to get here for us to leave. We are almost finished packing and hope to have all that completed by Sunday night. My checklist is getting shorter and love crossing off my to do's. Now since everyone is asleep I am going to try and catch up with you all here.Have a Great Night Everyone!

Welcome back!! You are way ahead of our packing. All of the cruise items are organized in one of our extra bedrooms.

I don't want things to get too wrinkled to we are going to pack most of the stuff over the Labor Day weekend!! Plus, I have all our garment bag clothing hung in that room's closet to be put in the day we leave.

It really not funny, one holiday I was going mad trying to fit my seat belt on the plane, I was nearly going a meltdown because it wouldnt fit,

:lmao::lmao:
It was Lens I was trying to get on.

Your right - it looks all updated. Either Sue and Glenn have been working their magic - again , or I am further gone then I thought. Or as my 17 year old skate boarding nephew tells me "Auntie your cheese has fallen off your cracker" not sure what that means but I don't think it is a compliment.
